Strongly recommend Car Guys service department. They do a good job and when something isnt right they make sure the problem is solved. Worked with me when a repair was going to take longer than expected to make sure my family wasnt inconvenienced. Shoot straight and are honest and upfront. We take both our vehicles for maintenance and service and will continue to do so.
If you need your vehicle repaired, I would not recommend anyone else in the area. The Service Manager Kyle is a good dude! He kept in contact with me the entire time. They did and amazing job, and they were up front from the start. They were far far less in terms of cost than anyone else in the area, and they did an awesome job! I seldom feel compelled to write reviews but these guys are true, and I want to put that out there. Thanks guys!
Both CarGuys and Budget Auto were 5 stars in my eyes, until our most recent encounter. They have both gone from 5 to 1.My fiance and I bought our SUV there just before Covid hit. Good vehicle, no issues with purchase. We had a hitch written into our lease to be put on after the sale as the part needed to be ordered. Covid hit and everything shut down. No big deal, we can wait a couple months for things to settle down(funny, right?). Anywho, summer came and our AC doesnt work. We called Car Guys (the service center that is attached to/ owned and operated by the same owner of Budget Auto) in probably July to check in on the hitch and to talk over options to get the AC checked and possibly serviced. The hitch hadnt been ordered yet, so we were told we would get a call back in about 2 weeks after the part came in to schedule, cool. No big deal. We asked about the AC and were told there is nothing they will do as their freon machine is broken, so take it to Auto Zone. That was a bummer, but whatever... Move on. So. We wait 2 weeks... No call. We figured shipping took longer due to Covid ( because thats a thing now). Then our lives get crazy as we just bought a house and its time to move. After its been a month I call CarGuys number to check the status... No answer and a message that says they are closed due to Covid, you can leave a voicemail but will get a better response time from sending an email. So, I hang up and send an email. Wait another 2 weeks .... Still no call and no response email. I call CarGuys again, this time I leave a message. Their message has changed and writing an email is no longer encouraged. I wait another week. Still no call back or email response. So, My fiance calls Budget Auto... They have an OPEN sign lit up on the building. No answer. He leaves a message to try and check the status. We wait 2 more weeks. STILL NO CALL AND NO EMAIL RESPONSE. We are now up to the end of Sept 2020. I call Budget and a person actually answers (hallelujah!). I explain weve tried to get a hold of ANYONE over the last 2 months... Left messages and sent an email. She laughs it off and blames it on Oliver ( the owner ), stating that a post it must have fluttered away. I mean, seriously? Its been over 2 months, get your business together. We get an appointment for the next day, right after she tells me the part has been sitting in the office FOR WEEKS. Weeks. But still no call back. So, she asks if Ill drop the vehicle off or wait for it. I said I will wait for it as I was told it would take about an hour. My fiance ended up bringing the vehicle in and I get a call not 10 minutes after he left because he has to wait outside. The waiting room isnt open (covid) and I need to go pick him up. Not the biggest deal in the world, but some common decency would have been appreciated if the employee would have stated we would have to wait outside. But, I feel at this point common decency is not this businesses strong suit. So, we go back home to wait. 2.5 hours later we get a call to pick it up. My fiance goes to the pick up window to get his keys. Oliver ( the owner of both businesses ) just throws his keys at him, and says nothing. Nothing. How rude?( Im channeling Stephanie Tanner here). This whole situation was not handled well by either business, and is frankly gross. The customer service is garbage. We will not return and will no longer encourage anyone to be a patron of either business.
The best auto repair shop in Appleton & surrounding area by far! Kyle, Amy & all the staff are great, treat you like family and do excellent work. I highly recommend having all your repair work done here!
