Though I bare no grudges or wish no ill feelings....the business itself needs some help. I understand theres been family crisis and health concern, but the incoming phone calls transferred to a fax machine for a whole day. The organization of work orders, incomplete analysis with parts on hand, as well as, parts on order vs..completed service work is sort of in hap-hazard disarray. They called to say mower was ready. Then when I called back the mower was not even assessed yet ..part was there next time ...then part was not there, that part was different customer....then mower sat outside with loose parts on top of in chassis in rain etc for three weeks. The final after small carburetor had arrived and repairs were supposedly done, was I picked up a mower that smoked badly and blew oil back out through the new carburetor and soaked the new air filter. They left the nut off ? the self-propelling drive mechanism and now mower doesnt even pull itself. I was more than frustrated, but will take it apart and repair myself now. The fact that there is only one or two close small engine work service businesses is a tough denominator for local folks to get simple things done efficiently or very well mechanically. I know the folks have tried to keep this business going, but I fear it may not make it long if this is the typical work report. Too bad really.

I called Apex sales company today to help with some issues I was having with my portable generator.When I arrived to pick up the parts for my generator they were waiting for me on the counter. From what I understand this is a family-owned business. They were courteous, prompt and veryprofessional. I would highly recommend Apex sales company to everybody.

Apex sales is one of the most honest and informative places to have your vehicle serviced... Alfred and Diane have been in this business for more than 30 years and they always treat their customers with most respect and explain all the details so that you know you are getting what you pay for .. great place to get your car serviced. Our family has used this business for many years and been very satisfied.They used to be in the historic downtown area, now they are on Schieffelin Road. And easy to access.

They were ahead of schedule with my lawn mower repair and the folks in the office (including one of their diligent techs) offered some great advice on how I can better maintain the engine. Im very glad I found these folks. I had a conversation with one of the guys who works on the motors the day I dropped my mower off and enjoyed talking about the work he was looking forward to doing on much of the machinery lined up out back. Positive attitude, smile on his face, and passion for what he does. Tough to beat.

Overall not happy but could be worse. I can only speak about their lawn mower repair. I brought my mower in for maintenance and troubleshooting a motor noise. They never did any troubleshooting and simply just performed maintenance on the mower. When I confronted them about the issue, they made no attempt to resolve the matter or apologize for the misunderstanding.Pros- Fair price- Recommend only for general maintenance- local family businessCons- Customer service needs attention- Communication is poor- Unreliable overall- Unorganized overall
