I started having emission problems with my 97 Yukon I Spoke to Darin on the phone and also went by the shop Darin and another gentlemen hooked up the scanner tool and it pulled up a code. I was told how to take care of issue that team they have at Dougs are really helpful I know they cant please everyone but they will get all my business.GOOD JOB MEN!

I took my 1987 Crown Victoria here after the transmission failed suddenly. Id had other shops refuse to touch the car because of its age (despite that its very well taken care of, I think some shops are just afraid of older cars). The guys at Dougs were not only more than willing to tackle it, but they were extremely confident that they could fix the problem no matter what it was. They were able to trace the failure to damage that had been done by me over two years prior, and ultimately the transmission needed a rebuild. They got it done in less than two days, even with other work I added to the order, and for the amount of work that was done, the price was outstanding. Its now been 3 weeks and the transmission is shifting like a dream, a testament to the quality of their work. I the team was very professional, very knowledgeable, excellent at what they do, and took good care of my car. I have recommended them to everyone I meet since then and I will definitely be back.

Dougs did a great job diagnosing and repairing the automatic trans in our Explorer. We were in and out in one day and the price was reasonable. Theyre friendly and easy to deal with. Highly recommended!

I brought my avalanche in to get a noise diagnosed. They sent Bob on a test drive with me who quickly was able to pin point it as coming from the rear differential. I had recently had my brakes and some other work done where the wrong parts were installed (Not at Doug’s) and while Doug’s was working on my vehicle they picked up on that and at no charge to me got the parts warrantied from the parts store used and repaired my vehicle properly. I would recommend them to others just as I was recommended by someone else to them

Got my transmission fixed in less then a week

I am having work done there at this time. So the results are not in yet. I think everything is going to be fine, but it will be a week or more before I have the results. Ask me again later.

These are some stand up guys here. My elderly mother brought her truck in for (what we thought was going to be expensive) repairs. These guys were incredibly respectful and found a simple solution to fix her truck. We are here for a very short while and they could have charged her any price but the didnt not take advantage of her and had her truck back on the road in a very short time. Best shop experience ever. Staff are very good and very Honest. PEP Boys gave me quote for $1000. After 30 min. inspecting pep boys told me you have problem with transmission mount and engine mount which was false information. Darin from DOUG’s transmission checked my car and fixed the problem in 5 mins with no labor fee. Awesome shop.

I was just 2 days from leaving AZ this week to move back East and needed unexpected work done to the Dodge Durango I just purchased. I had a slipping transmission and no knowledge of why. My regular mechanic (Apache tires and service) referred me to Dougs. I was worried i might need extensive or totally new transmission. Doug diagnosed a loose cable and repaired it in under an hour and for less than $100. And this was during our virus scare! I hope i never need them again but i would recommend them to everyone. I called Doug and asked him for a second opinion on my transmission which was earlier diagnosed (from another business) as a transmission rebuild for 3 - $4000.00. He diagnosed the car and said it only needed a tune up. There was nothing wrong with the transmission, the engine was not firing correctly on all cylinders. Dougs Transmissions completed the tune up and the car is running better than it has for the last year. How the original diagnosis from a place I wont mention, went from $4000.00 to a tune up, is sad but true. Be thankful there are still small businesses that can be trusted.

I bought a car from a local small dealer. I brought it to Hyundai for a recall and they gave me a list of items that they recommend I get done. I then brought it to dougs and had them also go through it (without knowing it was just at the dealer) and they told me I needed plugs, filters and brakes. At that point I knew they were honest! Being a female and knowing nothing about cars, could have easily made up anything!! Bought my 2007 Chevy Cobalt in 2017 with 40000+ miles to tow behind our motorhome.Disappointed to have to replace transmission at 70000+ but very satisfied with service at Doug’s performance transmission. Appears this is typical for GMC vehicles of this vintage.

We went to Dougs Transmission this am because that seemed to have a lot of support. We arrived at just after 9am. Explained the situation and let them know this car was really needed to get to work. We dealt with Darren who was amazing. He looked at the car and was pretty sure he knew what it was. Called to check if the part was available, gave us an estimate and told us he would squeeze it in and have it ready by close. THREE hours later he called to tell us it was ready! 3 HOURS! Unbelievable customer service. He also gave us a heads up on something else we need done. He wasnt pushy, just wanted us to know. We were so impressed with him. We made arrangements for my sons car to get an A/C charge next week. We will definitely be back for any future work.

Dougs transmission went above and beyond to help me. I live out of state and needed to get my.mothers car fixed. They towed it to the shop repaired it and took it back all in the same day. They were very curtious to my mother. Their price was far cheaper than any other shop I called. For curtious staff and excellent work go to Dougs Transmission. Had transmission problems while vacationing. Dougs helpful staff provided prompt, knowledgeable service, very fairly priced. We even got a lift back to our RV to wait while the truck was being serviced! Absolutely would recommend this shop as it is the best we have ever dealt with.

Our transmission in our truck took a nosedive and they rebuilt it with better than factory parts and rebuilt my torque converter. They even warranty their work for 2 years.

I brought my truck cause I couldnt figure out why it was over heating after I replaced hoses, radiator, water pump, thermostat etc..... I brought it in to Dougs Transmission thinking how much more money is this old truck gonna cost me? 2 hours later I got a call and was specifically told that all the truck needed was have the air bubbles flushed out of the system. No charge! Nice!

I took my truck to Dougs! They threw part after part after sensor at it and when they couldnt figure it out....They did what was expected of bad mechanics and said Here is your broken truck and a bill for a grand. I would not take a lawn mower to Dougs performance automotive for an oil change lol! This place doesnt have one piece of decent diagnostic equipment or one certified mechanic. Fact 1= drunk owner. Fact 2= drunk office manager. Fact 3= all good ratings Ive read on this place are friends of workers at Dougs, not actually customers. Fact 4= Dougs will rip you off if given an opertunitity. Please be ware and if you want to call me a liar....go there and experience it for yourself.

They do not deserve a star but, went in for a check engine light issue, referred to Dougs by a friend of Dougs. After several trips to Dougs and they said they found the problem many times, the check engine light came on everytime. 1200 dollars later, they smoked the vehicle one last time to make sure that the last issue resolved the problem, the mechanic told me that I needed a new gas tank. ? The mechanic said he used to work for a used car lot and could make anything pass emmisions. Nice to know!! What did he screw me with on the check engine light on the previous times? I told the used car mechanic to give me the keys to my truck, paid my bill, went to emmisions and passed without having to install a 500 dollar gas tank plus labor. Good luck with this 30 plus year establishment!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else unless you want screwed!!!

Paid $3200 for a performance transmission and it lasted less than 2000 miles (behind a stock enine). Owner was very rude unwilling to take any responsibility for the transmission going out 1000 miles away from his shop. Took truck to another builder who tore down the transmission and found that what failed hadnt even been replaced in the build performed by Dougs Transmissions, and had severe wear. This part (the forward sprag assembly) had 190,000 miles on it and was reused in a $3,200 transmission.

Wow, I was surprised, I had my car to another transmission shop, and they told me I needed my tranny rebuilt. Someone told me I should take it somewhere else for another opinion. Am I glad!
