Usually great but you could tell the staff was grumpy. I get it was late but we ordered to-go 40 mins before closing. That should be a respectable amount of time before closing.

Best Mole Ever!!!! Bar None. Weve eaten there several times, but this time we were passing through Antioch. Didnt stop us from getting a quart of mole! Flour chips and salsa were also great.

Its a family owned & my friends & I been eating here over 20 years, not once has it changed its owners, but the food is homemade. A great place for mexican food.

Ive been to the Antioch, CA Little Manuels day & night, busier and slower times, and I love the people there. The atmosphere is wonderfully family-like, peaceful & warm. A very mixed crowd, but all family. The staff hustles, yet keeps a cool, collected countenance, always smiling & gracious.

Went in for a drink with a friend. The fajitas they served to another customer smelled so good that my friend ordered to go. She said they were delicious.

We often ordered takeout from Little Manuel’s during the pandemic, but this was our first time eating IN the restaurant in over 15 months and it didn’t disappoint! Friendly service, still socially distant tables and the food was the best!

Food just too salty, you want blood pressure issues keep eating there. If the food is made fresh why do you have to pour the salt shaker in. They are very slow also I have a 30 min lunch, if I have to wait 25 min to get my food it doesnt work. Never again, may as well go to the Bell across the Street!

Once the banquet room was infested with maggots and the owner decided not to close. Maggots were wiggling around on the ground of the banquet hall that the customer paid hundreds for. The owner told the employees to sweep them up here and there without customers seeing instead of being honest with them. Kids were playing on the floor and you could see live and squished maggots on the floor as well.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Ordered at 7:30 p.m. and didn’t get our food until 10:03. Excuse was that they were “slammed.” Maybe make your customers aware of this before they place an order, and when I call to check the status after it’s been over an hour, don’t tell me it will be 10 minutes when it’s going to be another hour.

They are getting skimpy on the size of super wet burritos and mole sauce. The burrito did not have any flavor.

I love the authentic Mexican cuisine served here. Our server was amazing and made our visit very special. My mom loves this restaurant and makes sure she stops in every time she is in the Bay Area. Highly recommended. They also have a small arcade, a pool room, and a bar. Beautiful artwork to admire while you eat.

Went in for take-out. Did not call ahead. Food was done in 15 minutes. It was pretty good...as good as take-out can be. Obviously it cooled down some and wouldve been better had we eaten it there while it was hotter. The service was very good. The interior is painted with great graphics. They also serve burgers and Italian food. I am not sure how good that food is.

Food is good and service is friendly. Ive had burritos, tacos and tamales and I can say that the food can be a little hit and miss. However its usually good, if not its salty or sometimes it doesnt taste fresh. My wife has been coming since she was a kid and we still make at least one visit every time we visit nor Cal. She swears by the complimentary bean dip and the red mole. The chips are good and salsa is delicious. Try the Chile Verde which is tangy and good. The burritos are the best value and Mexican food is the way to go. Had the chicken strips once and they were well flavored but salty. The sodas are overpriced by about 50 cents. All in all good food and worth a stop.

This is an old school, hometown kind of place. Ive been coming here since I was a kid with my family. I keep coming back. My Mexican side of the family has lost all the elders, and they took their recipes with them, so it really means a lot to me that I can come here and get Mexican food that tastes just like the food that came out of my Grandmas kitchen. Ill keep coming here until theyre gone (I hope that never happens) or Im dead. Ive NEVER had a problem with the staff. Theyre always pleasant, helpful and attentive. Drinks refilled quickly, food hot and at the table fast, they always ask if theres anything else we need (no matter who Im there with, what time, or what day) and they come check on us regularly.It always really disappoints me to see people complaining and rating poorly any establishment that is DEFINITELY worth your time just because they dont feel like someone was kissing their ass when they walked in. People have bad days, get over yourself. Its a restaurant, the food is delicious and the drinks are great. It deserves a fair rating based on what its offering; weve got enough restaurants serving substandard, mediocre food with staff that are forced to be overly friendly if they want to keep their jobs. I miss good places and people not taking things personally.

Love the bean dip and flour chips they give you while you are waiting for your meal. The food is pretty good. I think they have greatly improved in the last couple years and I feel they are better tasting than the Mecca right now.

The chicken tacos are the best. A bit on the pricey side and sometimes your order is wrong but, I keep going back for the tacos.

Normally, we enjoy this place. It’s a nice restaurant reasonably priced with good food. But last night we had the worst experience here. I always order the same thing here, a super burrito. Last night the tortillas were not fully cooked and had a doughy taste to them. My super burrito was made up of a lot of rice, some plain tasting chicken, a little beans and a little cheese. Basically I ate dough with rice a chicken😝. Not sure if they got a new cook but this experience was horrible.

Foods ok not the best. But it get you full. Some days takes way to long to get your food. Always Understaffed. The bar has good drinks two 👍👍 for the bar.

Our favorite Mexican food restaurant, hands down! A beautifully decorated venue with delicious authentic Mexican food, and a friendly staff. Cant recommend them enough!

So I wanted to share my experience with this place. I’ve ordered from here before and the food is amazing. Super yum. However I ordered tonight, and after an hour and a half it arrived COLD (soup and chicken) that was INSANLEY overpriced. Okay fine I can reheat it. It’s a long weekend it’s busy. So I open up the food and we have a lot of missing items. So, we have late, cold, and missing items. I call the restaurant and kindly tell them the situation and mention it would be nice to get it soon because it was so late already.This is the point that the lady on the phone handed me off to someone else who started telling me about how they are super busy and I need to be more understanding.... Uummm well okay. So how about we change this restaurants motto to“GREAT FOOD! Delivered when we feel like it, IF we feel like it and how we feel like it”So yes, delicious food. BUT the place is just run by very unprofessional, lazy, rude people.

So, I had hoped to find a little gem in Little Manuels but, sadly they disappointed. We came in with maybe one other table dining in. There was a flood of pickup/delivery orders that were being serviced steadily, though. 22 minutes later........... I have to ask for utensils, napkins, and wait for the steak meat on the side for a kids quesadilla. The picture if my enchiladas plate speaks for itself. I dont know where the beans and the enchilada sauce starts/begins. Maybe on another day itd be better.... trust, wont take the chance though.

We love the food. Come here once a week. Love the enchiladas, quesadillas, soups, salads, burritos, fajitas, just everything that we have tried. Love the folks that serve, they have worked there a long time and we are always greeted well. Most of the time we get to pick where we want to sit. We have been and will always be loyal customers.

Havent been in years so we decided to have take out dinner, sorry to say we were not pleased at all ! the burritos had maybe 3 pieces of meat very dry, the tacos had very soft meat and was the wrong color. sure didnt taste like it use to guess all the good cooks retired. to bad. it sure wasnt worth $45 bucksoh even the bean dip tasted different. sorry just being honest

I like the diverse menu. That way my whole family can agree. My food is always just as I want it when I order. Lots of yummy goodness! Love this place and its quite bigger than one would think at first. Too bad about its location and the horrid hot weather that the front patio canoot be utilized. Just found out they deliver too! Also i think they are currently hiring right now for a few positions.

This is not a large restaurant. It does have a bar and a pool table. The margaritas there are made strong(so, if you dont like a wake up call for your tastebuds dont order 1) but they are very good. The food is the most authentic in flavor and appearance that I have found. I have been enjoying this place since I was in my 20s(Im now in my 60s). The salsa and chips are the best Ive had, they do serve corn and flour chips. If you visit you will be glad you did and you will want to return and try more.

They tried to revive their reputation from the issues with the health department & past owners. I agree with the other bad reviews; the bartender still has no hospitality and a passive agressive attitude just like when I was there 12 years ago.

Friendly staff, food used to be better but still a laidback spot to have a few cold beers, some cocktails, watch the game or bring your pool cue for a few games with the guys or gals. They make pizza pies too.

Service was excellent, as was the food, so much I brought over half of it home! Very good place to eat!

Went here for lunch, and the food was amazing! You could tell the chef took pride in what they were serving by the plate presentation, and quality of the food on the dish. Very impressed.
