We were very pleased with this company these past 17 months. John and the moving moms were there when we were in crisis during the covid lockdown and the John’s mom was great in talking to us via video as she packed. Then, during storage, whenever we had a question, John promptly answered. Delivery to the house on campus went very smoothly. How lucky we feel to have found you and this company. We will certainly recommend this company to others. Keep up the great work in making college students and their parents happy during somewhat stressing times!Go Blue!

For out of state parents, John’s Pack and Ship is amazing. Responsive and customer oriented it takes over the packing g and shipping when parents can’t do it. Thanks for being awesome every single time!!!!

We live out of state were sending first child to college. JPS made it easy to send all our stuff so we didn’t have to rent a car and drive. Everything was waiting for us in her dorm when we arrived. We didn’t have to lift a finger. They will definitely be our GO TO when we have to ship and store her things in the future. They are very over priced . Returned my boxes damaged so you can tell they did not handle with care. They held my boxes for 3 weeks and charged me $1000 .Update: This is your label and I had well under 20 boxes and I packed my own boxes.

John’s Pack & Ship has been a life saver for our family. Coming from CA, we shipped all of our sons dorm belongings to them and they were delivered to his dorm room before our arrival. So much easier than flying with all of that! Then when Michigan unexpectedly closed the dorms for winter term, they were there again to store our belongings. Just yesterday, my son decided to go back to Ann Arbor a few days earlier than planned so I emailed to see about changing the delivery of his belongings to his new apartment. Not only does John ALWAYS reply to my emails very quickly, but they delivered his belongings to his new apartment same day!!! For those of us who are out of state, this service is absolutely priceless and I appreciate their great service more than they know! Thank you!!!

Johns Pack & Ship made moving our son into the dorm incredibly easy, which was a big concern we had coming from California. Great customer service and attention to detail. We even had a vendor send an unmarked box too late for it to be useful and I just sent John the return label and he took the time to package it back up and return it. Really impressed and cant imagine what move in would have been like without Johns Pack & Ship!

I had an overall great experience moving my belongings out of the university dorms with this company. They were quick and responsive when replying to any questions that I had. When my items arrived at my actual home, a couple of the items were damaged, however the company fully replaced all of the items either with cash or a newer version of the item.Would highly recommend.

This man John is a greedy man. It could also mean he knows the business but he definitely takes advantage of college students. Poor customer care and unprofessional tone via emails. You are probably better off using another service.

I am extremely disappointed with John’s Pack and Ship. Very poor customer service from Day 1. They messed up the pick up and were annoyed when I call confused. After storage of my mattress and bed frame, I scheduled my move in day in which I only received the mattress. After calling multiple times for several days, they notified me that the bed frame was “could not be found”. After a couple days, they delivered an incomplete bed frame. Finally after two weeks, when I requested a refund for the full value of the bed frame and a refund for storage and delivery expenses, I was offered $50, a sum not even close to what was required. John was incredibly rude over the phone and the delivery men unorganized. I’m not sure how John continues to use his name in the company name when he himself treats his customers so poorly. I would recommend you use ANY other service offered. Completely dissatisfied.

My son is a first year freshman in U Michigan. On Sunday 3/15/2020, we got an email from school advising the student to leave campus. I placed an order immediately for 4 boxes, they delivered as promised on Monday. I then ordered two more on Monday night near midnight to be delivered on Wednesday (the earliest available date). On Tuesday, my son had to leave the school and need to pack everything on Tuesday. I communicated with John and he expedited the process for us and we were able to get the additional boxes on Tuesday. Although we cannot have the picked up date move up, but John gave us the email instruction how to handle the no show pickup. We did what the instruction suggested. We not only forwarded the information to John but John also gave us a confirmation email letting us know that he received our info and provided assurance to us that the packages will be picked up.I cannot tell you how much I thank him for his support in this critical time and particularly I was 3,000 miles away trying to help remotely. Not to mention that my sons dorm room is underground and had difficulties in receiving phone calls.I want to let everyone know that the service that we got is superb and outstanding. The response time is fast and furious :-). (Furious is the joking part). Cannot thank John enough for his emails and texts when we were scrambling what we needed to do in the past 24 hours.

During the recent mandate for students to leave U Mich, it was a whirlwind of activity to arrange move out for my daughter from long distance. Having had a superb experience with John’s last year, I reached out and was delighted to again have superb service in getting her packed goods picked up for storage amidst the frenzy. Very accommodating and the peace of mind was much appreciated.

A couple of my belongings were missing from having the company store my them over the summer so I reached out to John and I was met with horrible customer service. I was gas-lighted throughout the entire conversation but I felt very disrespected. I do NOT recommend you use this company for storage.

We had to have our daughters items moved out of her room and stored due to Covid 19. Quite the endeavor for us and for Johns!~. Everything as stored and then delivered this August to her sorority in perfect condition! Thank you Johns for making a difficult situation easier!

I used John’s for the first time this past spring moving out of U of M and I must say the process was extremely easy, manageable, and effective. Unfortunately, one of my items was damaged during shipping but, after filing a claim, I was contacted immediately by John himself and we were able to work out a solution that worked for both of us. John was very pleasant and informative through this and worked hard to ensure the situation was rectified to both of our likings. I will definitely be using John’s Pack and Ship again this next year and recommend others to do the same.

As UMich (and other Universities) suddenly closed down as a result of coronavirus, and students left campus for break in March 2020, we found ourselves as out-of-staters with the challenge of not being able to travel to retrieve our students belongings. John and his team did an awesome job communicating, packing, and safely storing our students boxes initially for a few weeks, then months ... then the entire summer. As the University re-opened in the fall, the team did a tremendous job managing our concerns, making our lives easier, and delivering the boxes to the new UMich address.Stay safe, and many thanks to Johns Pack and Ship for really helping us navigate a very unique and challenging time. Johns Pack & Ship has provided excellent service for storing my sons college stuff over the last four years. They deliver empty boxes, pick them up when packed, store them over the summer, and then deliver them to the next address, all for one reasonable price per box. It has been so convenient and helpful to us, and John has been wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this service for students who live out of state.

Poor customer service with sharp attitude. They lost an expensive electronic that they collected and packed, failed to get correct the number of packages collected, then lost the item within the 2 weeks we stored it. When it was not delivered, they took almost 2 weeks to get back to us, blamed a new freshman 19 year old for not being an adult and seeing that they got the number of items in the pick up wrong, advised that their reimbursement is $50 BUT they forgot to charge for packing the item they lost, so they are sending me a check for $10. Wow.

BEWARE. This guy has zero integrity. John takes full advantage of the students...and is totally unethical. John charged my son $50 to store 2 hockey sticks. So I cancelled the order and picked them up instead. So he charged $15 for the 3 days storage instead... BUT refuses to issue the credit. There are plenty other packing and storage options around... why do business with unethical business owners. Use this company at your own risk.

Very unreliable. Poor follow through and rude. Many other services in Ann Arbor, and cannot stress enough how much I recommend going to ANY other one. Not worth the money or mistreatment.

I was dropping off a Budget truck on Saturday afternoon for a reservation that was due back Sunday morning. I was charged for an extra days use of the truck because they werent open on Sunday. They have a drop box, which I utilized, specifically for this occurrence. I received no call or notice about the extra charge, and if I hadnt glanced over my credit statement, I wouldnt have noticed it. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with Budget to have the charges reversed.

Worst storage experience I have had. They took back their word and charged me $2,000 for storing 10 boxes for 4 months. Dont use them.

I used this service once. It was crazy expensive, and some of my stuff got damaged. John was a huge jerk when I called him afterwards.
