I went in to get a thumb brace for my Mom. The girl at the front desk said she wont be able to give it to me without measuring her hand, but assured that it was fully covered by insurance. I asked again to clarify if I was paying anything out of pocket, she said no. Two days later I brought my mom, the same girl two days ago said she can measure the hand at the front and itll be good, but when we got there she had us wait to go in the back room to get it measured from someone else. Additionally, my mom kept asking her how much shell have to pay and she was told I will check and let you know (she asked multiple times, and still not given an answer). So we were sent to the back to get the hand measured, keep in mind these arent custom braces, sizes are small, medium, large. The worker put the brace on her hand without asking and sent us out to the front desk to pay. Again this front desk girl had her sign a paper which says $0 copay, $0 tax. This brace costs $40 retail. But they charged our insurance $53.90, and my moms out of pocket cost was $185.69. my mom who doesnt speak much English felt rushed in signing the papers and having her credit swiped (by the clerk in the machine behind the desk, so she wasnt even able to see how much her card was going to be charged). We went back 2 hours later to return the brace after my mom realized how much she was charged. The very unprofessional front desk clerk said she cant return it since it touched her skin and well have to talk to the manager. Keep in mind the brace was put on her before she paid, so it was already touching her skin before she agreed to buy it. We called the manager who wasnt available, so we were told the manager, Kristi, was emailed and will call us the next morning. We were not called so I called myself and explained the whole situation. She said she wont be able to do anything because it touched her skin, again I explained how it was put in her before we even paid so how did that even make sense and we came back not even 2 hours later, and went on to say we paid that much because insurance decided how much we would pay not them. They charged us $239.59 total for at $40 brace. First time going to this place and will never go back, not even to see how much they charge for something. These people are scammers.

I had custom orthotics made, and so far, I love them! The young lady that helped me,(Amy), was very knowledgeable and very sweet. I was in and out in 15 minutes for my fitting. I would definitely recommend getting equipment here. Thank you Amy!, and thank you Wright and Filippis!

I was pleasantly surprised to have such prompt service and were able to get my braces in about 10 minutes after a few questions and measurements. I wore my knee braces and were pleased how helpful they already are. The staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Thank you.

Wright & Filippis has handled my braces for years and has consistently done a fantastic job. At the Ann Arbor location, their staff is polite and handles appointments well. Bill did an awesome job at my latest appointment on July 31st.

The entire reason for this 5-star review is a woman named Melissa Conroy (Who I don’t believe works at this location full-time). I drove 30 minutes to get to this office after receiving a brace for an injured right hand when I had an injured left hand. There was one brace left at this location that would fit my wrist, and one of the office workers did not want to give it to me because someone else was going to pick it up the following week (plenty of time for them to get another one to replace it). Melissa worked for 45 minutes to make sure I didn’t have to drive to a separate location after taking time out of my work day to drive to Ann Arbor. She was so kind and thoughtful, and even though she could have sent me on my way, she made sure I walked out with the right brace. She is an all-star!

Great customer service and communication. Bailey has even met me on a weekend so I could pick up a product that was being repaired.I would give five stars except they have to outsource some prosthetic work -- not exactly convenient to give up an arm or a leg for a few days (literally) for something that used to be able to be done on site in a few hours. Also, while the the prosthetists are very good, and the best I have found in Michigan - I dont find they are quite as skilled or have nearly as many resources as those I worked with when I lived in Chicago.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Needed a brace for a bad knee. The person who delivered the brace spent no more than 10 minutes with me and it is so unbelievably ill-fitting that I wasted $500 or $550 for something that sits on my closet floor and still am unable to walk without incredible pain. It comes-up so high on my thigh that if I sit-down while wearing it, the brace pushes upward with transfers to the knee portion and puts very painful pressure on my knee. Complete waste of time and money. Im probably going to go over to U of M and see if I can find something there that actually fits me, that I can easily wear, and work with someone who actually cares about whether the brace they decide to give me will work for me. Horrible.

I first called the Livonia store because it was closer to me after being on hold for 25 minutes I decided I wouldnt spend a penny in that store the people are rude as hell. I called the Ann Arbor store and talked to Beth she was so helpful and just gave me a really pleasant experience on the phone. My wife and I went in to see Bill and let me tell you everybody in this store are 5 star. Wright & Filippis corporate office should make this there showcase store. This company needs more people were like the staff in Ann Arbor.

Sales person gave WRONG information to sell the product in their stock. Then, they did not accept return insisting of their own return policy. So, I spent only one chance of my insurance support here uselessly. Then, I should purchase better product with my own expense, around $300.While I was talking to sales person in order to solve this problem, she was so arrogant and I even felt racial discrimination.I really hate here and will never use this store. Never! Never!

Terrible service and quality ... our daughter had custom orthotics from Wright & Filippis from several years ago at their old location in Ann Arbor, she was very happy with them. The foam had compressed, so we asked if they could be relined. At first, W&F told us no, because they had changed computer systems we were no longer in their system. We asked if there was any way to do it and they told us to leave the inserts and they would call us. A few days later they called to say it would be $100. Kind of steep, but OK ...It took about two weeks before they were ready. My daughter went to put them in her shoes and ... THEY WERE DIFFERENT SIZES (see the attached photo). One was cut long and skinny, the other short and wide. Clearly the orthotics person never templated the inserts and just cut them randomly. Whats crazy is that they dont even match each other. At this point, I am DONE. I am going to find somewhere else to redo the inserts. I will gladly pay someone else to fix them, I have zero faith that W&F is even capable.
