Check your bank account before shopping if youre on a budget. Because the prices are low. Especially buying in bulk. Youll say to yourself thats a good deal so many times that you wont realize how it happened until here you are with a 500 dollar cart. And ya you saved a ton of money but still youre spending twice your weekly budget or more. So be cautious and take notes on what youre spending. Maybe youre already really good at that and Im the oddball. But it was definitely worth it. And ya know free samples. That really doesnt happen anymore unless you come to the stores like this. Which is great. As a kid that was my favorite part about coming to the store.

Good prices for bulk items. I will never understand why you scan my recipt directly after the checkout lane. You can see me paying for the items.

Lots of shopping at Sams for us. We camp alot we buy all our supplies there through the summer. Great bargains.

The food is wack and they lie to you about the drinks because I payed for a cup and filled it out with Pepsi 🍒 but the freaking drink taste like Dr pepper.

Kinda a far drive from Ottumwa but it was totally worth it!! Saved a ton of money buying in bulk.Also, I got a $45 gift card for getting a membership which was $45/yr!Also they ship out if youd rather save some gas money and just order.

I enjoy shopping at Sams club. It was great to take my wife there to shop, its been to long due to all the covid-19 and all the havoc from something blown out of proportion. I think this place is doing a great job on health and safety isues for the people that shop there.

I ha e shopped here weekly for a business I run. My observations and opinions are as follows:1. Self checkout has major issues and slows everything down.2. Some genius decided one clerk for every 200 people who check out is enough.3. They operate on a presumption of theft. You pay then after pushing your cart 50-100 feet they do an audit of every cart before it leaves. Imagine how heartless and degrading this is. Yet- they do not care and will not change this policy. Eva use they do not give two ***** about any customer.4. They are frequently out of items, always woefully understaffed and yet they charge a membership for this subpar, experience. Avoid it if you can. When my membership expires I am done.

They had what I needed, was in and out, and love the scan and go, cant understand why more people dont use it

I have been getting gas at Sams clubs gas for almost a year now. Im also aware of what side my gas tank is on and have seen multiple people stretch the cord to fill their gas. But today theyre very busy I just stood in line and took my place. I was aware that my gas tank was on the other from the station but like I said I have seen multiple people do it. Today the tenant got out and was screaming at me in front of tons of people about how I was not allowed to do that. Correcting someone is one thing but making a scene is another. I will not be getting gas there again.

I dont enjoy spending $300+ only to find out at check out that theres no bags, or at least boxes. It was enough of a hassle unloading when we got home that Im not sure how often well be coming back.

Great addition to Ankeny. Very convenient location. Store is always clean and well stocked. The staff is helpful and willing to assist you when needed. They do a good job staying ahead of the curve on stocking seasonal items slightly ahead of schedule so you can stock up early.

Decent selection and fuel but their self checkouts have a major issue. They state that “some” of the self checkouts only work on debit versus credit. While this alone is unacceptable, what is even worse is that an employee mentioned that they don’t know which ones work for credit and which do not. Seriously? It would take all of five minutes for someone to check.

I can always find something I need at Sams. Its a great place if you like to buy in bulk.

They never seem to have what I need. One, TV antenna, not the best one, but one. No denture cleaning tablets, I use polident. Great price on gasoline. Im thankful for that.

Wish they had more flavors of products.. also, we had to wait in line for a very long time and ended up giving up and went to the self check outs thats were also moving slow.

Now is not the right time for my opinion but here it is. A supervisor/management was asked to find an item. This person found the item on upper shelves and asked if I wanted that item taken down. I said OK.....He did nothing while I stood and waited for 20 min. It wasnt till another employee came by and asked if I needed something did someone retrieve what I was looking for. When leaving the store that supervisor/management was around the check out I asked him why he did nothing about getting that item he lied and told me I said I did not want it. My question to Sams club is why is this person even I the position he is in. Did he lie and deceit other to get there. 30 to 40 extra minutes for one item is insane.

A very nice Sam’s Club. It is well organized which helps when it is busy. I fill with gas here often as it is inexpensive compared to other parts of town (members only). I live equidistant from the two Sam’s Club locations in the Des Moines area and generally prefer this one. However, some of the items I regularly buy are often out of stock here.

Its somewhat busy today. Employees are working hard and doing a great job of keeping the shelves stocked. Store and restrooms are mostly clean. Good variety of food and beverages and value priced!

Scan & Go, is a smart shoppers tool for maintaining cost control during shopping. Plus the option, to buy now and save, or defer to later. No surprises(with a running total) at check out. And we can skip check out and go straight to leave.

Always have good prices

Although Ive had flakier and more taste of butter with other baked croissants at other restaurants, I did enjoy the eggs benedict with spinach. The good husband was a little disappointed with the side order of ham because it was thinner than a single slice of Oscar Meyer bologna slice. Coffee was good along with service.

Place was busy and some shelves empty. But I do love using scan and go. Amazing how many people still wait in line to check out.

Aug 2021 I dont use there sams app to check out that is way too slow and have to try to get the phone camera to focus on the bar code. Self check out for me takes less then half time with the hand scanner then the app.If you dont go here at least 2 times a month, you might no find the items on your list since they like to move sections of the warehouse around alot.Hrs are back to normal for now2020 No plus or business plus hours tell further notice.

Pretty nice visit. Not sure why they let one customer walk around without a mask. She was gone quickly, so I wasnt too uncomfortable. Hope they work harder to ensure all customers wear masks.

Long lines. Our wait was because the cashier was trying to convince a couple to sign up for a credit card. The couple already had credit card and was trying to figure out why this was better. I think they should go to customer service instead of making others wait.

I always find lots of deals not even on my list, great value. This trip to Ankeny I did witness something that actually scared me. A customer was harassing a customer for not having a mask, standing within 6 feet. It was actually scary. I was in a mask, however we do not know persons reasons for not wearing one, it is no ones business to harass others. It was extremely uncomfortable.

Less than half the customers had on a mask today. Kids were going along touching everything. Nobody was cleaning handles on the carts. Nobody was cleaning the checkout guns after use. People were not social distancing at all. Ridiculous! We pay for a membership to shop here, we should feel safe. I felt totally unsafe here! I do not plan to shop in the store again, only order online. Costco does it right, you have to wear a mask or no admittance. They have circles in the floor to keep people 6 feet apart. I feel safe in Costco. Not in Sams club in Ankeny. Very bad experience!

I have been at this store 4 times this week the 1st time here as I was walking out there was a bord against the wall saying premium gas was at a good price so I headed over to the gas island to find it 5 cents a gallon more. Then after getting home I realized I forgot toilet paper went back the next day.. there wasnt any but an employee assured me to come back the next day, that they get it in everyday but dont know when. Went back the next day still none. This morning I played it safe and looked on line before heading over it said IN STOCK, to find there wasnt any.. not happy and tired of wasting my time and getting the wrong information. Oh by the way the employee at the gas Island could care less that the advertised price at the store was different..I figure Fleet and farm next door will be a good place to go.

If it wasnt for the courteous staff Id give it 1 star.Tuesday midafternoon must not be a good time to shop at Sams, shelves were half empty and hand sanitizer stations hard to find. Walked out with several things left on my list. I guess Costco is my next stop.1 highlight for us is usually the hot dog on our way out but even that was disappointing! No mustard, relish nor saurkraut, only ketchup. The ice tea container was empty so I didnt get a drink.The gas prices are about the same as Fleet Farm, not worth renewing our membership.

Long line to leave the store, and very few choices left for Easter candy. Usually dont have any complaints there though.

Sam’s is always very busy on Saturdays, and this visit was no exception. Unfortunately, there were several self check kiosks offline, and long lines to check out. Sam’s might also consider adding an extra person at the exit receipt check during peak hours.

Went in for one item, left with a cart full. Thats the way it is at Sans Club. Also if you have never used Scan and go you have to give it s try. You will never go through a checkout again.

Clean store. I love the process. This is prefect for my family of 7. They even seek some stuff that I wouldnt consider bulk. W bought a really good lawn mower today for less than what I would have paid at Wal-Mart, lowes, etc. And we get cash back for being plus members. Worth it!

I placed a order online 2 days ago via Sam’s Club.com to pick up today at the store. ( trampoline)But few minutes before pick up the item, I received an email that my order was canceled with no explanation. I went to the store to see what happened and they don’t have any good answer.This place is ridiculous to order online.Costco Wholesale is 100% more better !!!

Must not be my day for customer service reps! The blonde lady in memberships was completely rude and unprofessional! I didnt appreciate her taking my phone to look at a code. I dont like other people touching my phone especially during these times! RUDE RUDE RUDE needs to be retrained in how to treat people.
