Busy place. The front end guys were personable and professional. They did a very good job. Four new tires, alignment, control arm replacement and an oil change. Kept me informed on their progress and the waiting area is clean.

Got new tires on our 2017 Lexus. Looks great, runs great, and the price was excellent! Tried for weeks to get the Lexus dealership to help us with new tires but could not get a return call. So glad that big O stepped in and made it happen for us.

Normally I would give this place 5 stars, but my last visit I went in for a quick oil change which was a little pricey but no big deal, then someone told me I needed a new tire which seemed odd since I got new ones not long ago, so I asked how much and how long it would take he said 15 minutes, 125 dollars and I was like okay that’s fine. Almost two hours later they finally are done and have me come up and my total is 400 dollars! They changed two tires which wasn’t necessary since they were all pretty new, all with a warranty and they did the second without my knowledge, I was so frustrated but I didn’t say anything since I needed to get to work I was already late. In all honesty I felt scammed and maybe it was just bad trip but I definitely won’t be going back for an oil change only if I for sure know I need a new tire.

Had a great experience with Luke and his team. Upgraded my wifes Jeep with new wheels and tires. First, he was very knowledgeable of how different wheels would look and effect the driving of our jeep. He acknowledged that it is her Jeep and talked to her about what she wanted and didnt just talk to me. Sales staff rarely include my wife in the conversation about our vehicles. They helped me find a great tire for the price range we wanted. Lastly, they got the job done early and the communication was excellent!Above and beyond what I was expecting.

Was a great experience. I found a nail in my tire the night before. I was able to online and set up a next day appointment. Everything was easy to fill out online. Showed up to my appointed. My car was taken back right away, tire was repaired and i was ready to go in less than an hour. The gentleman behind the counter was very polite and friendly and answered all my questions. Brought car in for tires and alignment. Told needed tie rod on passenger side. Asked if others were good and they said yes. Had to bring it back in on Saturday. After car was in for 1.5 hours, they called and said inner and outer on driver side was bad. Another 400+ dollars and 1.5 hours! Plans ruined for the afternoon.I walked around to the bay may car was in and saw employees standing around on their phones. Im being charged by the hour for this service.This will be the last time I go to a Big O Tires.

Took our family vehicle in for 4 new tires, alignment and wanted to have our breaks checked out. I was talked into the tires they had instead of the ones i wanted and said that i want the tires and alignment done for sure and let me know about the breaks and i will decide if i can afford to get them done at this time. I went to menards and then a hour later i get a call saying they need me to come back so they can discuss a issue with my vehicle. I got back and they ask me if i want a alignment done and then said my breaks are very bad and need to be replaced. They said the rotters are gone to have to be replaced. I asked how much and he throws out $623. For the front and $623. For the back. I was like no way can i do that right now and the way he was talking to me i felt as if he was trying to get over on me. I said no and he said but you do want the alignment done and i said yes that was the plan from the start. That guy went to the garage and another guy rang up my bill and i paid it, but before we could get that done my van appears at the front of the store. You wanna tell me that they can do a alignment on all four wheels in less than 5 minutes? I knew i was crewed then. I took my car to another shop and they said my breaks need replaced yes but not 1200. Replaced. And my alignment is still the same as it was when i got to big O’l liars shop. The alignment was 90 bucks. Never again. Bad business. We dont have money in the bank and the money we lost that day doesnt get replaced without us taking something else away from our family. My kids say thanks.

This was our 2nd time here and we were super impressed the first time but the 2nd time was even better!! We are in pinch and our tire went flat unexpectedly, thankfully we were right by big Os so we were able to run our tire there real quick, Luke fixed our tire for free and we are so thankful. Everyone here is beyond nice. We will be here for every oil change, tire issue... whatever they can help with we will go here 100%!

Okay.. there’s so much to say about this place. Above all, the customer service and staff at Big O in Ankeny is EXCEPTIONAL. Every single time I come in or call, I am blown away at the generosity and kindness they all display. They are always so willing to help. Shawn somehow always helps me and even recognizes my voice from phone to walk-in. I walked in the other day and he said “sounds like Bailey!” I laughed and thought that was pretty awesome. When maintenance is done, they always finish before the expected pick-up time. If you aren’t satisfied with the price, they aren’t rude or mean at all. The employees are always very willing to discuss payment options and maybe even lowering the price slightly to keep the customers satisfied. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Not to mention when I was waiting, a staff member came to the fridge to get a bottle of water and proceeded to offer everyone food or water in the waiting area. It was just so genuine and kind. I WILL absolutely recommend this place to family, friends, and strangers. Customer service and maintenance is top notch! Thank you guys for all you do!

Friendly staff and fast.

Billy (Bill) provided outstanding customer service over the phone and in-person. He helped me pick out new tires for my Honda Accord. He shared his personal story with me about choosing the same tires for both of his daughters who drive back and forth from Colorado. This made me feel confident in the tires I was purchasing. He explained why I wanted my lines on the tires to move water/snow back and forth between the tires when I drive. Billy provided updates along the way and got me in and out of the store in about an hour. I signed up for a payment plan. It was very simple and overall I am very pleased.

They all did a great job. I’ll be back to get the tires rotated and get an alignment.By the way, question 4 did not Indicate if 1 was best or 5 was best. I picked 5 as best. Hope that was correct.

I’ve been having alignment issues with my car. I called mid morning and they were able to get me in right away this afternoon. Bill is the kindest and Luke is awesome for helping me with my car stereo. These people have helped us out with tires before and their service has been amazing. I was greeted with a hand shake and a Welcome. Service was fast and done well. An explanation on work to be done was given. Before I left I was reminded to bring the truck back in to have the wheel torque checked after 100 miles. It was a great experience. I will continue to do business with Big O Tire in Ankeny.

Just stopped by after a bad experience with a competitor. Was able to get us tires at a great price and work us in. Super busy and the front staff was amazing to everyone in the store and on the phone that never stopped ringing.

Initially I intended on giving a 5 star rating for the honesty and integrity of this place. Unfortunately it’s a 1 now. I had 3 tires repaired, and I thought I needed new ones so I am appreciative I was advised they did not need replaced. This was my mistake. I was also advised I needed new rear brakes, rotors and possibly a new caliper if my guide pin couldn’t be repaired. I went elsewhere for my brakes and am so glad I did. My wheels were removed ONE HANDED with a socket wrench. My brakes still had the part # on them, my rotors were nearly perfect and that guide pin, is a bolt/guide pin not adding up to what I was told.

I needed alignment done and they showed me a list of all 3 things they check for on the front and back of the vehicle. They showed before and after alignment results. It was a great experience, though they may need an extra worker in the bay.

Came in today at 7:30am with no appointment. I was greeted very warmly, and helped in a timely manner - they worked me in right away! All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful, but Bill is who I primarily worked with. He kept me informed every step of the way, showing me the problems he was addressing, giving honest recommendations without being pushy, and running each decision by me and keeping me informed of cost so that there were no surprise charges. He was also very personable, and checked in often to make sure I was comfortable and happy in the waiting area. Outstanding customer service!

I woke up this morning with a flat tire and took my car in first thing in the morning and they got it in right away and was able to fix my tire! It was my first time coming into this shop and the gentlemen there are so nice and provided excellent customer service! I will definitely come back!

We had a great experience at Big O Tires in Ankeny. We were traveling from out of town and they were so helpful and accommodating; answered questions, provided helpful advice, and got us in as soon as they could. Shawn V and Bill M both went out of their way to provide what we felt was exceptional service.

Having to pay for car repair is never fun but the crew at this location is very friendly and understanding. The wait is a bit longer so would recommend dropping off the car if you have work done to it. I dont mind waiting though given that the customer service is absolutely excellent.Edit: Wanted to state that this is a location I will return to as needed. I have been here for 3 1/2 hours so far today because the mechanic kept finding more problems with my car but have been treated well. I drove past a Tires Plus to come here and even after waiting this long do not regret my decision to come here for the service they provide.Update 8/9/21... still 5 stars! I continue to love coming here for maintenance and repairs. Every time I have been here I have been taken care of well, even with new staff members up front. Some experiences have been better than others, but every stop has been good to me.

Typically I have very good experiences, but about a month ago I got my snow tires taken off. I assumed they were put in my trunk like always, but went to take them out this weekend and they weren’t in there. I realize I was late to notice, but when I called about it I was just told they would’ve put them in the trunk. Now I’m out 2 snow tires- lesson learned I suppose, but pretty disappointing.

Bill was totally outstanding in understanding my need for the proper tires for my vehicle. He showed me two styles of tires and I chose the one he highly recommended. He had them in stock and I purchased 4 new tires and asked when he could install them thinking it would be within a couple days. He said he could work me in now and have me on the road in an hour. Bill is very customer focused and I will continue to do business with him in the future.

I was stranded in Iowa after finding a nail in one of my tires on my way home to Colorado, and this store was the only one that had the tire we needed to get back on the road. They were even willing to stay after hours and went out of their way in order to help us as quickly and efficiently as possible. Very friendly and reasonable people. My tire needed aired up every day and when I went in tonight I expected to be told Id have to buy a new tire. However in less than 30 minutes and before my appointment time they had me taken care of! I had to get a tire fixed on our Prius. They couldnt fix it because it damaged too badly. They provided a replacement matching my tires and getting the work done fast.

I came in after having a bad experience with a competitor. The guys at the Ankeny, Iowa location were excellent and made feel welcome. My goal was to save a little money (less than $20) by going to the competitor. Next time I will be going to BigO for all services I can. I have always had a great experience with them and that matters more than a couple bucks to me. Excellent customer service from all staff. Great work!

Ive been there twice in the last 2 months. In both cases they went above and beyond what I would have expected them to do. The first time they lent me a personal vehicle for my use when the job was going to take longer. The second time they did a quick tire spare change to a rim no charge. These were drop ins by me with no appointment. Separate salesmen and in both cases - exceptional customer service.

Woke up Thanksgiving Day 2018 to a tire flat as a pancake. Got the spare put on and started researching who to call. First thing Friday morning called Big O Tires. Asked if they worked by appointment and Bill asked how long will it take you to get here? That hed take care of it. When I arrived, Bill checked all 4 tires...all were on their last legs, which I kind of suspected. Bill looked online at what inventory they had and instead of trying to hard sell anything, asked what my budget was. He showed me the exact tires that were available and explained the differences in each. Definitely treated me with courtesy and respect and I will be back to Bills shop with my 4Runner.

I am very unhappy with the service I have received at this store. Besides the fact that I have had to return to get something fixed 3 (!!!) times, the last visit I left my car for 40 minutes, and when I came back, they had not even taken my car back. Besides the fact that I had scheduled an appointment. This was just the last straw. I am so dissatisfied that I will not be returning and I have started to tell my friends not to visit this store either. I have never been so upset as I am with the services that I have received at this store. I regret buying my tires here, as I will not be returning for the free tire rotations that I should receive from their purchase. I also regret allowing the mechanics to fix the problem with my brakes. I have had continued problems from their fix, apparently this store is only good at replacing tires, and nothing else.

We found ourselves on the way out of town with a tire pressure light on and screw in our tire. They got us right in and fix our tire so we could be on our way as fast as possible. Great service.

The gentleman that I talked about finding me 2 good used tires for my truck, said he didnt have any but would check with other stores and call me, he called a week later with 2 very good tires, got them mounted and balanced and was out in under 1/2 hour, great job, will be back .

Terrible service. Tried to nickel and dime. Shop other tires shops they will give you right price for a set of tires. I found multiple dealers with better pricing for the same tires. Take the time and you’ll find a better company.

I HIGHLY recommend these guys!! From the moment I walked in to the end, I was greeted with friendly smiles and outgoing personalities!I got a nail in my tire which is warrantied and bought in Wyoming. I now live 2 hours away from Ankeny and they were the closest option. I slapped a different tire on for the trip out here to find out that my wheel bearings were absolutely shot. They brought me out to the shop and showed me just how bad it was. I truly cant thank them enough for looking out for my safety because my tire was a couple miles (if that) from coming off and beating me home.. not Good!Overall, they were all around a great bunch and made trip here a true joy!Thank you!!

Had a flat tire returning home to Illinois from ISU. Stopped in at Walmart to get tire repaired or fixed. They didnt have the right size tire in stock. We saw Big O tires down the road. We stopped in they were friendly and very helpful. They had us back on the road with new tire in less than a half hour. They easily could have charged us an inflated price since we were 5 hours from home but instead their price was very reasonable, cheaper than what Walmart was going to charge us if they had the tire in stock.
