I needed a flat fixed quick, and the did it in five mintues for a reasonable price. And of course, it guaranteed for the life of the tire. Also, they were very courteous.

This was my first experience at Tims BP/Amoco. I bought an used car in November and needed to get some maintenance work (oil change, air filter etc) and it needed breaks and rotors. I am happy with the work and I saved hundreds of dollars compared to the price that I was quoted by the Toyota dealership. I appreciate that the station is open until 11pm, so I could drop off my car the night before, and I didnt have to rush in before 5 or 6 to pick it up the next night. They offered me a ride within Ankeny as well. I live in Des Moines, but Ill be making the trip to Ankeny for Tims for more service in the future.

I got home today and could hear the air coming out of a hole in my tire. I wanted to get the hole patched and did not want to have to take it/get it towed to a shop. I called Tims and they said theyd call me back when David was available. They were here within a couple hours and David was great at fixing up my tire. Beyond that though, he was very friendly and we had good conversation while he worked. Such a great first time experience with these guys. I will definitely be a returning customer!

I had this company tow my car to their shop because my car was pouring oil out.. all I was due for was the tow. 65 dollars. That’s fine.. they came back and quoted me at 1300 dollars to fix this that and the other. I didn’t want to pay more than 1100 to fix her up anyway so I went ahead and bought a new car, they referred me to a place to junk it, yada yada.. I go to pay my tow bill and get the stuff out of my car and my bill is 130 dollars because they charged me for taking apart my engine when I specifically asked them not to.. anyway, that’s besides the point. I sold my car to a gentleman out of town, and when he came to find the problem it turned out to be something very minimal and COMPLETELY different than what the mechanic said was wrong with it. But I had already bought a car and this guy drove 1.5 hours to come get my car and fix It himself. Either these guys don’t know what they’re talking about, or they tried to take advantage of me because I’m a young girl. Regardless, would never go back. I’m happy I didn’t give them any more of my money because they don’t deserve it. 👍🏼

People in Ankeny, and some such as myself from the surrounding area, know that this is the place to take your vehicles for repairs, service, and even inspections of a used vehicle youre considering purchasing. They are simply the best. The mechanics are perfectly honest, efficient, and very good at what they do. The owner, Tim, can often be found in the convenience store, and is super pleasant to deal with. Indeed, all of the staff are pleasant and friendly. Even if you do not need their automotive services and buy gas elsewhere, consider sending some convenience store business their way to support an incredible local business.

Great place to get your car washed. Although the machine is a bit outdated, it gets your car cleaned very well!

Very nice customer service. Since the first call, the operator was nice and gave me a rough estimate versus another competitor who said well get to you whenever. After an hour of waiting, they came to my rescue. Very polite and professional driver. He was very specific and clear with instructions. A true lifesaver. Never bothered me about payment until he was done pulling my car out and we were in a safe spot. Hopefully I never need a tow truck again...but if I do, theyll be the first ones I call.

Genuinely the best interaction Ive had calling for a jump start. Friendly, helpful, competent, and flexible. Relatively low cost as well! Couldnt ask for better.

Ive been taking our vehicles here for years. Its inconvenient to do so because we dont live in Ankeny, but its well worth the drive. Weve taken all of our vehicles here. They even helped us out when we purchased a new vehicle and spent time to look over everything to make sure we werent purchasing a lemon! They will forever have our business and I recommend them to all of our friends and family

Awesome place for tires. No run a around given out the door price up front. Also gave me a ride home and picked me up. Will be doing business with them in them in the future.

I went to Valvoline across the street to get my oil changed and they broke the drain plug off in the oil pan from turning it the wrong way. I went across the street in a panic with my car leaking oil with my 2 young kids and within an hour my car was fixed, oil changed, and ready to go.

Dale restores my faith in mechanics. He is an honest man with an incredible amount of knowledge and experience. I am grateful to him and Tim’s Amaco for being able to repair my car for a fraction of what another repair shop quoted me. Thank you!

Cannot say enough about Tims Amoco! We have gone there for over 15 years with many different vehicles with various issues. Always a free estimate and always the price they quote. Tims BP/Amoco service was the best service I have seen in ages. I would give the place infinite stars... They stepped up when I needed help with my tires. Not one complaint... They actually work on cars. I am from Polk City which is some ways away on a tire that is showing steel belts. They came through for me. They were friendly and showed expert knowledge about vehicles. You just dont get much more of a perfect crew and such a welcoming environment. Experts on so many things. Thanks crew... Thanks for great service. It is a place you choose every time..

This is my favorite shop Ive ever used. I am generally a DIYer after frequently bad or overpriced experiences at shops, but Tims is my one exception. Dale and Eric are incredibly helpful and go above and beyond when servicing your vehicle. Prices are amazingly fair. Definitely highly recommended from me.
