Captain Kirk and his kind staff were very attentive to our requests/questions. The contract process is as expected, after a brief once over, our 13 passenger luxury pontoon was delivered to our nearby lake for a REALLY low fee. Upon delivery Kirk patiently went over all of he directions (for the 2nd time), I’d asked if we could film him, and he obliged. (I didn’t want to miss/forget anything). His rates are very reasonable. We’d had some weather, the week we rented. Kirk called to check in on us, if we needed additional fuel, or had any questions or concerns. Returning the pontoon was as smooth as the delivery process. A WONDERFUL experience - Thank you for a very memorable vacation.

Horrible customer service!! I was called the day before our boat rental that the boat broke down the day before and they wouldn’t have parts in time so I was out of a rental. At the point he finally called to tell me we were three hours down the road for our weekend trip. Why he couldn’t call me the day it broke so we could have planned accordingly is just rude. Very unreliable place!!!

Love the Corner Landing. Have rented a pontoon from there several times and always a great experience. They are very helpful and go over everything that you need to know. They stress that if there is ever anything that you need during your rental to please contact them. The store is cute and has everything that you could want in case you forgot something.

Do not rent boats from this business. We have made the mistake multiple times of renting from the corner landing and although the boats are nice, the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Even the employees have made comments on how the management is not the nicest. We are at lake James for the week and unfortunately on our first day here our boat broke down. After renting a pontoon yesterday and enjoying it, we decided even with the terrible service to rent again due to the convenience. As we get into the store to tell the owner we would like to rent a pontoon we were very rudely told, “you’re going to wait, as I have someone with an appointment (who by the way was not even at the business yet or anywhere around).” That is totally understandable but the tone of the owner and the way he treated us made it seem like we were inconveniencing him, or that there was only one boat left for rental. That was not the case, so rather than his pontoon being rented for the day and making him money we left and now it will sit there. We called Vacation pontoon rental immediately after leaving. Instantly the gentleman on the phone was the nicest person and even told us how he has gained so much business from the corner landing due to the way they treat customers. He then told us he would have a pontoon delivered to us immediately and for the remainder of our stay (4 days) for the price of a day and a half rental from the corner landing. Before you ever rent from the corner landing call Vacation Pontoon Rental and rent one of their 17 boats, or even rent from Pokagon as they do rentals as well.

Very nice equipment, the boat was really nice, store was nice and reasonably priced. The man behind the counter was very smug and had an arrogance about him. When we left we ran across more people that thought the same thing. Not sure we would go back.

Outstanding business! Kirk the owner was great to work with and to rent a pontoon from. The boat was in excellent condition, all life preservers were provided, and Kirk was very thorough in explaining all of the boat operations. I would do business with Corner Landing, again.

Although there was some misunderstanding/miscommunication up front, the people at Corner Landing were reasonable and we agreed to a comprise. Good people to work with. Clean facility. Top notch boats. I will return.

I planned a kayak race and asked to reserve five kayaks. In between the planning and the trip I had to call quite a few times for extra details and had to push out the pick up times. Due to some poor planning on my end I had to cancel last minute after Kurt had gone and picked up extra kayaks for us. So while I never got to use the rentals the customer service and grace that Kurt showed our group was exceptional. If the service is that good for someone that couldn’t end up using the service I can only imagine how great it would be to use them. I will use them anytime I am in the area.

This is great place for a quick purchase of a lake item, though you are definitely going to pay extra for convenience. Great friendly service is the norm here.

Rented a pontoon boat and on the return they said the propeller was bent but we didnt hit anything! Because it was rusty, instead of $150 they were only going to charge us $50. I would recommend getting a walk through of EVERYTHING wrong and snap pictures to document. Dont trust them!

A place that me and my dad used to go fishing my dad is dead now but I am returning when I get my license but now I have my license an a car I cant wait for the time when the water is warm

Cute little shop, mostly a tourist type destination, but also has munchies, sunscreen and tackle if you are heading out on the boat. Beware: Pricey.
