A big hail storm passed our area last year and our roof got hail damage. Derrick Nelson was our main contact from NexGen Exteriors. He did a fantastic job in helping us navigate through the complex and frustrating insurance claim process. Our claim was declined by our insurance company at first. Derrick handled the process with exceptional expertise and professionalism. He took a lot of damage photos to help us build a strong case. We requested a second inspection. Derrick was here on the roof with the inspector every time. Upon the second inspection, our claim was approved. It took over a month to deal with the insurance company and we are very thankful for Derricks help. Now we have a brand new roof. You sure can trust Derrick that he will take good care of you.

I used NexGen to install gutters on my home after my basement flooded. At the time of enlisting their services, there were a lot of restrictions due to the pandemic. Cody walked me through their virtual process to assess the home and get an estimate, and assisted me with picking out the perfect gutter for my house. He also made himself available for any questions I had or updates I wanted. An appointment was set up quickly (a relief, given the flooding!) and the team was professional and efficient. I have not had a problem since! I would definitely recommend Cody and NexGen for gutter installation.

I would highly recommend NexGen Exteriors to anyone needing a new roof, siding or windows. 2 years ago the 14 year old roof, on our 94 year old house, was leaking as a result of shoddy workmanship from a previous contractor. We tried getting quotes and warranties from several contractors. They either claimed to not know how to fix our roof or refused to give a warranty. NexGen Exteriors was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They were able to tell us how they would fix the leaks and get the roof done at reasonable price. They also got the roof on quickly, despite scheduling problems because of bad weather. NexGen Exterior roofers were able to find exactly where the roof was leaking and also made us aware of a few problem areas that they could remedy. That winter after the new roof was installed, we had heavy snow and the following summer was the wettest on record. So happy to say the new roof not only looks great, their craftsmanship is impeccable. The leaky problems have been fixed! We are no longer concerned about ice dams or water leaking every time it rains. Thank you Shawn for all your patience and professional courtesy.

I called my sales rep, Ann Ruud, on the recommendation of a DIFFERENT sales rep I had liked from a DIFFERENT company. Hed done an inspection in the fall and it was to late to move forward with repair as Minnesota winter was upon us. I kept his card and called him in the spring only to be told he wasnt with that company anymore. I asked if he had another person to recommend and said I wasnt committed to going with the same company, I just liked him as a rep. He ave me Anns number and said that she was the person to talk to. Ann was really quick to respond, came out right away, explained everything clearly and brought a huge binder full of certificates and awards proving NexGen is a reputable company. I liked the warranty options, the quality of the materials, the fact that the company is established and takes customer service seriously. When I asked Ann if it was possible to get addresses of homes with the colors of shingles I liked because I wanted to see examples in person as opposed to just a catalog, she got in touch with the manufacturer and had addresses for me the next day so I could take myself on a solo roof tour. It helped me feel more confident in my color choice to have seen the shingles on a real house as opposed to just a little picture on paper. Everything happened exactly as Ann promised it would and she checked in frequently, making sure that we knew what to expect always. Shes been completely available, concerned that were satisfied, and we felt 1000% taken care of. Shell absolutely be my first cal if we decide to replace our 100+ year old windows. :)EDIT: I cant believe I forgot to say how IMPRESSIVE it was that the roofers got our bungalow and garage done in a SINGLE DAY! Naighbors commented on how lightening fast the process was and I was happy that everything was done so fast without sacrificing quality. With so many people working from home during the pandemic, it was really nice to only have the noise for a day.

My roof was damaged by hail and wind in a storm last fall. Allstate, my insurance carrier, inspected the roof, but determined there was not enough damage to warrant a claim or reimbursement for damages. My neighbor had a positive experience from NexGen and their representative in getting approval for a roof replacement. I contacted the company and have since received assistance from Mike Thompson at NexGen. I subsequently requested a re-examination of my roof from Allstate. Mike accompanied the evaluator from Allstate to provide a second set of eyes for the evaluation. As a result of his assistance in pointing out the deficits in my roof, Allstate reversed their decision, and approved payment for a roof replacement. That would not have happened without Mikes input. My roof is scheduled to be replaced later next week by NexGen. Hats off to Mike for his assistance!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ann Ruud and NexGen Exteriors! Ann was prompt, and provided wonderful communication and service - very responsive, honest and trustworthy. The installers did a great job and finished the roof in record time, and our yard looked cleaner and better after they finished than it did before! Incidentally, we have friends who had their roof done the same day by a different company, and they had a terrible experience - despite that all the roofers started at the same time, ours were done 4-5pm and worked through rain with no issues. Our friends roofers were still working as it got dark at 8-9pm, and they had leaking in their house while they worked, as well as a roofer fell off their roof and broke his ankle! While they had a very stressful, awful day managing water pouring in their house and an ambulance rescuing the injured worker, our experience was completely stress-free with no issues. It was almost like magic - the roof was off and on so quickly. Thank you to Ann for getting us started on this process and helping us through it - we never would have thought to get the roof looked at without her bringing it up!

NexGen did a great job replacing our roof, rebuilding a potion of the roof over our breezeway, replacing siding on one side of our home, and installing a window on the second level. They arrived on time and did a fantastic job matching the roofline on the breezeway to the garage. although difficult, Shawn found a near perfect match for soffit and facia that had been discontinued. The work exceeded our expectations again and looks amazing.

I had damage to my house due to a hail storm I met my insurance adjuster and he was convinced there was no damage .Even though every roof with in one mile of me was getting replaced a friend of mine told me about Shawn at NextGen exteriors .Shawn and his team handled his claim and he rated them a five-star!!! so I gave Shawn a call .He not only found excessive damage to my roof he also found damage to my siding, fascia, gutters, front window, shed and garage doors. Personally, I don’t know anything about roofs and it’s the last thing I wanna deal with so they literally took charge of everything and handled it with such professionalism. Shawn at NexGen Exteriors came out to inspect my house for storm damage and found quite a bit of hail damage on my roof and my siding. They were not pushy to get us to sign, and actually did the adjustment with my insurance agent before requiring me to sign which showed me good faith. During that adjustment they found even more damage. Due to the knowledge of Shawn and his internal supplement team, they argued with my insurance for me and increased our loss estimate from $30K to $75K by doing their research to discover that almost all of the products on my house either didnt match or were discontinued. My house wasnt even that old, so I was beyone impressed! Our Insurance company was also great to work with but NexGen did all the heavy lifting and labor. Our experience was top notch. They built my very steep roof in one day. Sided our house in 3 days and they cleaned up very well. They even came out to offer a spring cleanup because my roof was put on in the Snowy months and they we worried about additional debris. They replaced all of my windows in my house with high end Ultrex windows that we absolutely love! It doesnt even seem like the same house and we have had nothing but compliments on our siding project from our neighbors. So much that the house down the street mirrored our design that we did with Shawn and NexGens fancy 3D design software. I am very pleased with the work and recommend all considering partnering with an exterior contractor for retail or storm damage to call team NexGen! Thank you.

NexGen Exteriors, Inc. is a great company! They do what they promise as they combine trust and result- this is true. We had them do our roof for us, this was a great experience working with them! Everyone you talk to in their office is very helpful and knowledgeable with the process of getting the roofs completed and timing. Donovan and Nick were very helpful, the made sure everything was taken care of, and the communication was very good. NexGen Exteriors just completed a roof replacement on our 130,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Northeast Minneapolis. This project included removing half a million pounds of rock and replacing the ballasted roof with mechanically fastened TPO roofing. NexGen also added 46 operable skylights and electrically wired them for remote operation.NexGen’s Sales Project Manager, Ann Ruud, and Vice President, Shawn Caron, were extremely responsive, knowledgeable and professional. The work was performed expertly and expediently from beginning to end.Given the vast scope of this job and the manner in which it was executed, I would highly recommend NexGen Exteriors for ANY size project be it commercial or residential.

Cody Utsch and Donovan Luby arrived promptly, examined the house very thoroughly for hail and wind damage, were very helpful in the entire process (and very nice, friendly, and professional to boot). They let me know what would happen every step of the way, as well as what I would personally need to take care of. They arrived early, stayed late, and had the roof replaced in a day. Another person came out later to do the gutters. Cody worked with the installer to have a special gutter put in to alleviate wheelchair ice-mare. That was a big relief for us. Last year in July we had a hail storm and like most neighborhoods were inundated with contractors going door to door. I was determined to not fall prey to some fly by night contractor from out of state or who knows where. Cody approached me as I was cleaning up my yard and I was wary to say the least. his professionalism and willingness to provide his credentials and that of the company and to answer all my questions led us to decide to go with NexGen. We then found out that there were issues with the insurance company and getting the job done. It took mu;ltipl visits and inspections with the adjuster and Nex Gen was there. The insurance only wanted to do a partial repair and NexGen went to bat for us because our original shingles were no longer available so the whole roof had to be replaced. After that the insurance and mortgage company screwed everything up when issuing payment and by that time it was middle of winter. At the first sign of decent weather, NexGen sent a crew and scheduled the new roofing and gutters and trim. It was professional, efficient and done quickly and our home looks beautiful. I highly recommend NexGen and Cody for any repairs and/or improvements to your home.

I am very happy with the work NexGen did on our deck last summer. The deck exceeded my expectations. Shawn suggested a cable railing and since we live on a lake it worked out beautifully. We can see the lake perfectly. Installing the pier footings was a spectacle with the older neighbors who had never seen them before. We were completing an extensive renovation so coordinating everything was really important. Shawn checked in consistently ensuring everything arrived on time and as expected. Had company reside last winter, come spring noticed bubbling all along the backside garage and back side of house. Also, along front of house as well. Spoke with salesman and he got back to me quickly and said they would send someone out. Jared from Nexgen came out and said the job was rushed thru and the crew that did it was no longer with Nexgen. He told me it was completely unacceptable work and hed take care of it. I spoke of my frustration with the salesman and he spoke to management and made them aware of the issue. Not once did anyone from management call and speak to me about my issues and my unhappiness. The 2 star rating is only because of Jared and Tom being upfront and dealing with the issue. Nexgen you should be ashamed of your communication skills, totally unacceptable. Updating this review, still waiting for them to come out and look at property after earlier conversation. I think its completely reasonable to assume this shouldve been taken care of by now.

Im going to say this straight up. You can honestly mess around and get all the quotes you may want and go through a hundred different companies contractors but, no one is going to compare to the level of service and satisfaction that Donovan and NexGen offers and am positive about this. From the first day Donovan came at out door, he continued to be there 99.9% of the time checking in calling or texting my husband a couple times a week just to see how we were doing and feeling about the project. I have the upmost respect for Donovan, he definitely made us feel like family and the way he works with you is second to none. There are a lot of moving parts in a job this big but when its all said and done, our house looks great, is much better protected and Nexgen did everything possible to make us satisfied customers and we would recommend them to friends or family. We really liked that theyre local as well. Too many storm chasing companies that come and go and cant keep their promises.

Cody put an order in and when the covers came in stopped over and cleaned my gutters out and installed the covers.Cody was easy to work with and he was very professional. Nobody is going to compare to the level of service and satisfaction that Cody and NexGen are going to deliver I can promise you that. NexGen Exteriors is the reason I stayed in the business. I am an employee there and worked at 2 other companies in this industry. Once I learned what those companies were about I was going to leave the industry till a friend of mine told me about this company and when I met the owner and the GM I wanted to give it one more year to see if it really was different. Back in July Nex Gen repaired my home that was damaged by the June 11th 2017 hail storm that devastated this whole subdivision and did a fantastic renovation job on my roof, siding, gutters, fence and play set. Josh Smith of Nex Gen provided excellence service with all status updated and made it easy when working with my insurance company. This is truly a top notch local organization that provides quality products and exceptional service.

A neighbor of mine had her windows replaced by NexGen Exteriors. I commented on how beautiful they looked, even from the outside. She handed me one of their brochures, so I gave them a call. I wanted a bay window installed on the front of my home where a non-opening, flat window was located. They gave me an estimate and I decided to go with them. They told me it would be about 6 - 8 weeks and the windows arrived early. The installers were very careful in my home and, it was obvious, they knew what they were doing. Very professional and expert installers. The bay window is absolutely beautiful, as are the rest of the windows that I purchased. I would absolutely recommend this company. The bay window alone, gave my home a facelift. So much so, I decided to have new siding installed on the front of my home. (I wish that I could give the company that is installing the siding, the same 5 star review. Not going to mention their name here. The install began the day before Thanksgiving and it is now less than a week before Christmas. They took a two day job and have turned it into a month long debacle. Still waiting for them to finish!.) Now my home has gorgeous windows and half of my home is sided. Zero stars for them!Anyway, back to Nex Gen, they gave my home a new lease on life. I love the windows and would absolutely recommend this company.

Josh Smith came out and inspected myhome for free after the hail storm, after getting off the roof Josh came down and showed you the photos of the damage. From there we went over the company and I decided that nexgen would be a great fit for me, then Josh helped set up the claim and dealt directly with the insurance company through the whole process, how I met the adjuster and went over the damage with them, and found enough damage to warrant full roof replacement. Once we got the claim papers we met and I picked out your new roof color, from there the crew was out in a timely fashion and completed the roof in 2 and now I have a brand new roof with a 50 year warranty. I would use Nexgen again and have referred them to friends and neighbors.
