Donnie and his team are top notch! This was my first time using them after a recommendation from a friend and I’m so glad I took the advice. They diagnosed and fixed the oil leak on my old Jeep in a matter of hours and the cost came in at a fraction of what others told me it was going to cost. Highly recommend their service. Very professional. Finished vehicle earlier than expected. Found the issue with a new alternator & replaced it. Suspension issue was found quickly & replaced. Communication was awesome & their vehicle diagnostic system was very helpful in giving detail pictures about repairs that were needed. Would def use again!

I had driven my sons car to Clemson and the clutch seemed to be off. When he tried to go somewhere, there was a problem. We left a message for KCs Automotive Specialists and called again on Monday. After diagnosing the problem, they were able to repair his car and get it back to him on Thursday. We are so grateful! We live in VA and did not know where to go. My daughter was on a quick road trip from FL to GA and then up to NC to pick up a friend to join us for a family vacation in the FL Keys. After a visit in GA and a dinner out with friends, she woke up the next morning with a really bad case of food poisoning. After a visit to the ER in Douglasville, GA, she was back on the road again to NC to pickup her friend. 2 hours into the trip, her engine light came on and she realized she needed help. Honest, hard working folks! They installed a new AC in my car and did it pretty fast! Then they did an oil change and installed new spark plugs on time and in a hurry for my weekend trip!

One of the very few shops in Anderson that carries the specialty tool required to fix my car. Very very quick service compared to other shops. Car was fixed in a matter of hours. Honest people.

I went in to get my window repaired but their vehicle condition report (free of charge!) let me know things that will need attention soon or in the future. Very patient while explaining what needs to be done to my window and the cost. I’ll be going back to get my window fixed but will definitely go back for any future work.

Incredibly professional, got stuck in South Carolina on my way back to florida due to my car overheating, visited three places who werent able to take care of my car, but KC’s saw me right away! Very quick, very courteous. If it werent for the price, Id probably guarantee my return. Id likely return after just checking on prices a bit more.. Thats more on me and my situation than them. I do appreciate them, the price was my Only problem but its a business and theyre there to make money. I dont fault them for that. For all I know, they do it for less than everyone else. James and his guys are great have used them before never had a problem. I also manage a Rapid Lube and I refer all my customers to them for their mechanical needs.

The passenger side front tire was worn so badly I had to replace it. Upon the installation of the new tire one could visibly see that the cause was a bent tire Rod. I took it to three businesses for repairs but they could not repair it for one reason or other. I am a musician and need the vehicle to transport my equipment. KC was recommended and I was surprised at their friendly attempts to solve the issue. The Van has been repaired and I am happy with their professionalism and attention to detail. A good place to take your vehicle if needs to be worked on. Only downfall is they have to check your vehicle out even if u already know what the problem is.

I heard a rattle when the engine was running in my 1998 Jeep Wrangler. KCs confirmed it was the catalytic converter...said it was actually falling apart. KCs ordered a new catalytic converter, put it on and now the Jeep is running like new. The Jeep dealership actually sent me over to KC’s and I am happy they did...I will continue to go to KCs, they were very nice, knowledgeable, and very deserving of this 5 star rating.

If there were a way to give more than 5 stars, these folks would get them. Called at 3:30 due to our F350 suddenly developing a rough idle and sluggish acceleration. They were booked solid (as most good mechanics tend to be) but squeezed us in to at least diagnose our big red truck. As full time rvers, our vehicle is our life line. Diagnosed, part ordered and installed in about an hour and a half. The staff there is awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I was told by another mechanic that my rack on my gl450 was bad and it had been sitting for 2 weeks waiting to be fixed. Called KC’s was told to bring it on got it there they Diagnose my car and it wasn’t my rack. My car was ready in 4 days. Thanks much I will be returning.

Very friendly and super easy to work with! They were able to get me in quickly and the diagnostic they ran had a very informative report that gets sent by text when the car was done. One quick call later and I had the full quote in my email. I called right back and picked what I wanted done immediately and my car was back to me that same day! Reasonable prices and SUPER fast service. We will be back to work on the rest of the issues that they discovered.

Brought my car here multiple times because I didnt know any mechanics in the area, what a mistake. Had my tail lights installed here and the fuses kept getting blown because they didnt wire it correctly. Brought it back to get it fixed and the one brother flipped out when I told him he didnt do it right and said he wasnt going to fix it and charge me extra. Both the brothers have attitude problems and over charge. Surprised they are still in business by the way they treat their customers. If you want to get ripped off this is the place for you! Never again.

I went to KCs to get an alignment for my car after I got new wheels put on. I made the appointment online, and the woman from the office who called me was very nice, and got me set up for my appointment quickly. I arrived at the time of my appointment, and they got to work on my car within ten minutes of me getting there, and the whole alignment only took around thirty minutes. Again, the woman I spoke with in the office was very nice and got things taken care of quickly. At the end, they gave me a sheet explaining the alignment, which is really going the extra mile. The only negative is that it is a little bit more expensive then where I normally go. However, the customer service and atmosphere was nice enough, that it is probably worth the extra price.

I will not be bringing my business back to KC’s ever again because of how they have taken advantage of me. The two times I have used KC’s for repairs on my 1997 Honda Civic have both resulted in having to go to my local mechanic in Cary, NC afterwards to really fix the problem. This past time was the last straw and I will not be returning. They “fixed” my brake light with a part that appears to be a plastic screw of some sort, not even close to the correct part! AND they charged me $130 for this “repair” for labor and a piece of cheap plastic that was really only a temporary fix. While the staff is pleasant and friendly, DON’T take your car to KC’s. Ask a local for a better recommendation for your car. You and your vehicle deserve better.

Had to come to their shop after another tire place messed up my studs - they were able to get me right in, fixed up, and back on the road. Everyone there is very friendly. Highly recommend their services!

KCs folks took great care of us late in the day when our vehicle broke down while traveling through the area. We had an electrical/starting problem which they quickly diagnosed, repaired and had us on our way. They treated us like longtime customers even though they knew we not local. Highly recommended.

I have taken several vehicles to KCs Automotive over the last few years including a Dodge Dakota, Chevy S-10 and Jeep Grand Cherokee. They dont perform unnecessary repairs and call to give updates on the total cost. Also, the repairs were performed promptly and efficiently. Jim and James are very professional and courteous. KCs Automotive is a trustworthy and reputable business.

James had one of his highly competent technicians throughly inspected my VW Beetle due to a chirping noise I heard. My thoughts was a failing belt tensioner and/or water pump . A detailed report was emailed to me. To my pleasant surprise, it was neither. Aged belts was the culprit. Thank you James for your honest business. I opted for his technician to replace the belts and to perform other recommended maintenance (completely flushed/replace all fluids). I was very pleased with the quoted price. James runs a very honest business. Perfect results.

Very nice people. They agreed to look at my brakes when no one else in town could get to me. I had a failure on 85. However, They never quoted me a price and were terribly expensive. The part was under $50 and the 2hrs labor was around $400. I was in a bind to get back to Richmond VA and had no choice. I feel taken advantage of because of my desperate situation. It reminds me of price hikes after a major storm.

I had a great experience with KC. I had car issues while traveling along 85 and had my car towed there. They looked into the problem and explained the costs before getting started. They were the most hospitable repair shop Ive ever visited. They went beyond just taking care of my car, they also went out of their way to make my time while waiting as pleasant as possible.Id definitely recommend them.

I had some ac work performed and was very pleased with how fast it was finished. They guarantee their work for 2 yrs. I am very happy with the service. Will call them if I have more repairs done.

We were quoted $93 just for a diagnostics test but then they charged us $148 with absolutely nothing done to the car and it didnt take long for them to look at it. After asking simply why it was so much and so far off from the given estimate, the overweight mechanic simply replied, Time is money. He then proceeded to ask if we were even the owners of the car. They charged us for liquids that they didnt use. When my boyfriend tried to ask a question on what we were being charged for, he didnt get acknowledged by Kelly or the mechanic and they were very unprofessional. Before picking up the car, I had called to ask why we had to pay such a high price when nothing was even done to the car. Their response was to threaten us with impounding and crushing my car. ONLY GO HERE IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR CAR BACK AND WANT TO PAY A BUNCH OF MONEY FOR NO REASON!! Before we left, I said because of miscommunication, maybe we shouldnt come back. They said, Good.

I’m out of town and was recommended by my Cadillac dealer to visit KC Auto because Cadillac could not help me with my ‘97 Cadillac Eldorado!I was more than accommodated because I did not have a ride back home and they have free shuttle!! Kellie, at the front desk was so friendly and was the one to take me home and the mechanic personally sat down with me and explained everything with care!I’m more than satisfied with this auto service and they were fair in price and extremely honest! I recommend this to be the first option for all automotives!!!

Incompetent people. Came here for a pre-purchase inspection on a car I was looking to buy. These people reported some made up problems while ignoring real issues. Complete waste of money, I shouldve just gone to the Honda dealership across the street. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Great service for a great price.

After replacing my front end calipers, rotors, pads and brake hose, I tried to bleed the brakes. Couldn’t get any fluid to the front driver side and the brakes wouldn’t work. Drove the car up to KC’s hoping the professionals could take care of it. After $300 they still didn’t know what to do and when I went to pick the car up none of the brakes were working. Worst part was they didn’t tell me! My girlfriend had to slam it into park and pop the curb. I don’t know about you but after $300 I would hope, at the very least, the car would be in as good of condition as when I left it.

They did good service but they are a bit pricey

They told me I had a bent drive shaft and couldn’t give me many details about it. Turns out I needed a slight alignment and some new tires. Also they didn’t call me when they finished. I had to call them to find out when I could pick it back up. Would not recommend.
