I would definitely like to thank the customer service representative whose name is Christian, I have been a faithful employee in the state of Alaska. But due to covid-19 I lost my job. I completely understand when people get frustrated with automated systems. So therefore it is an absolute pleasure when you get an amazing customer service representative like Christian. I dont know if he will ever be recognized. But if so I just want to tell him thank him so much for making my experience talking with him such a pleasure. I wish you nothing but the best. And thank you to the state of Alaska because you guys are doing an amazing job with what you are working with.

I have been waiting since December 2020 to get benefits. It is now May 2021. I am a bit set back because every time I call, I get told something different. Which I have called ever week. I even requested for a supervisor to return my call, only to not be given the curtesy of the call I requested. It’s becoming frustrating, stressing, and depressing. I do have bill obligations that I cannot take care of, even though I have been consistently looking for work. Looking for work 24/7 to the point that I feel anxiety. I rated a one star because of the inconsistency of information and how much time it’s taking. I have had patience and I have ran out of it at this point. Those of you that have had an awesome experience….that is what I would have loved to have had! Unfortunately, not my case.Update:I have called still having the same issues. They gave some money but told me they can only give me the minimum because they are still waiting on the Department of Defense to send my wages even though I gave them what I had. They put me down as working for a company I never worked for. It caused all kinds of issues. Today August 13, 2021 I called and spoke to Kyle he was no help, I called back minutes later because that wasn’t sitting right with me and a lady name Laurie answered and she actually had an issue with listening and cut me off on everything I was stating. Eventually I asked to speak with a supervisor and she sent me back to the main menu….how professional. Then I get a lady named Dory and she was rude off the top. She started asking me questions I never have been asked before when calling and to me it raised a flag because I don’t remember sharing that information she was asking with them and she was rude. I understand why she was asking after she was rudely talking to me like a child. But when you are never asked that it just seemed weird. She refused to let me speak with a supervisor actually all of the representatives refused. Which is weird. I felt really uncomfortable talking to her at this point. I wished there was another way to get to someone other than these rude workers. They deal with people and if they can’t talk to people then they might need to look for new employment. This is what I have to deal with but my next option is the BBB to see if something can be resolved that way.

I called for help with a claim and the rep I believe her name was Aubrey, was extremely unhelpful. Kept telling me that I couldn’t apply for unemployment even though the website states otherwise. I grew frustrated with her lack of help and listening and asked to speak to someone else, she said I needed to call back. I asked supervisor and she denied me that too. She then hung up on me when I asked her what her name was…..I am calling for help and she was EXTREMELY unhelpful. I am just trying to receive help after being out of work due to COVID.

Very thankful and grateful for all the help that I have given from the Juneau UI claim center representatives. Thanks to these two lovely and wonderful people who have been so helpful in this time of crisis. Tina and Chris you two are amazing and God bless you 🙏 ❤

The facility is closed due to covid-19. Appointments are by telephone only. An attempt was made to contact an old job assistance specialist in the facility by email, The Specialist email is no longer active and there is no one to contact for job placement assistance. This used to be an excellent place to fine tune your resume. This was a good place to utilize for all of the job resources that you can find in Alaska. It is a shame that such an important facility to people who are actively out of work because of covid-19 cannot get assistance when they need it most.

The website does not have a unemployment app???it send me to a page and tells me what to do next but give to button or link to the application just states at the bottom you must file a ui claim before a pandemic claim and has a link to that, but no link to the actual app

Very helpful, Ive had great experience with the workers when I unfortunately was laid off for covid. Very helpful in getting new employment.

Tried calling them several times. Most of the time it goes through the recording and then says all agents are busy and hangs up. Once I got to where it actually rang. After 1 1/2 hours of hold music, I finally gave up. How is a person supposed to find put why a claim is delayed or denied, when the letter doesnt tell you and no one answers the phone.

A very kind woman named Charlotte assisted me with everything I needed. She was very patient and professional with me! My experience took under 10 minutes. It was very quick and easy! Thank you, Charlotte! :)

This place has a good amount of computers and resources. The staff here is more than willing to help you if you ask, and will leave you alone if that is what you prefer instead, which is one thing that I really like about there. Also they are very informative about local job fairs that are going on in the area. I would recommend this location over the Muldoon job center any day

Doors locked for over a year, and phone lines are cut. Just hang up on you. They provide no services. Expect a year long battle to get any benefits.

Staff is mostly helpful, some seem stuffy and noses up but dont let that distract you or stifle your OWN ability to look for employment, use the services provided to the bestvof your ability to obtain the work you seek, Keep a positive attitude while your there. Be mindful of the situation before arriving and stay focused on the reason you are going with a hopeful and positive attitude your going to get something accomplished thru the services they provide, we often take for granted places such as these. Computers/Fax Machines/Telephone/direct line to unemployment/ Mostly energetic and willing staff to assist you in obtaining the help you need.
