They called at 8am on a Saturday for an UNSCHEDULED & unexpected interview. Left a message for us to call them back at their main office number 269-6599. No warning, no letter. Heard the voicemail and called them back at 10am to hear the automated line state that theyre CLOSED and dont even offer an Option to leave a voicemail. The dumbest thing in the world. How can you expect to call someone and when they call back, they dont even have an option to reach you. This is RIDICULOUS.
Very good at communicating applied a week ago and already received multiple phone calls. They really care about getting you on your feet and employeed.
Arrived and checked in at 8:30. Told it would be 30 minutes and there were two people ahead of us to see a case worker. Still there at 10:30 and the room cleared out twice. Stood in line for another 30 minutes to find out why. Was told we were still on the list. What list?! We watched many people come and go while we sat. Was told we were on a special list and there was still one person ahead of us!? Was also told they try to get everyone in within 2 hours, but we would surely be seen sometime today. Oh, goody! Wow. Our case worker seems capable of doing fewer than 2 people every 2.5 hours. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time.Totally screwed up system, poorly run and any organization or management appear to be in name only. Sad. 11:00 and still waiting. But hey, weve got until 5pm so there is still hope.
They dont ever call back I left messages over a week ago. My medical with was approved Sept I went into office .then revived card had a issue with a foot swelling and they where not gonna let me leave hospital off I dont have a place to go. I did but find out they dont even have my medical card active I even add if my medical card was available to use set 7 2017 and she said it was but apparently its not so Ill probably eat this hospital bill I cant afford I also have a hernia caused by the state neglect and theyve so far refused to resolve it by having it fixed
Now you cant even wait on hold they just take a message with your info and never call you back. I put mu application in about a week ago and i havent heard anything. They have questions on the app that is supposed to qualify you for food stamps in 72 hours but that is all bs as well. I know s lot of people need help but who is actually getting helped?
I turned in my Recertification for my food stamps back on April 5, 2017, it is now May 27, 2017 and STILL NO FOOD STAMPS. I call the 800 hot line and it says to call the local office, I call the local office and told to call the hotline. I have left several messages and even went in to ask for a call back or an appointment and was told that I have to take time off from my job to come and sit in the office for a possible appointment, I dont make enough money to pay all my bills and have any left over to feed my kids (one of which is not my child but lives with me). I work full time I cant afford to take time off and loose that money. If they are that short handed how about hiring some people and people who actually CARE.
Usually takes about 3 hours being seen. One time i saw a two year old baby being nursed. They do have snacks and backpacks in the childcare partion. One time the woman forgot to put my name on the waiting list. They used to have a copy machone and the wait time was waaay shorter
Been on hold for well over 3 hours, office is now closed and still nothing. Every time I have to check anything about my case I have to either A) go in person and waste all kinds of time sitting in the waiting area, or B) sit on hold for forever and usually never actually get through to a real human being. Cant keep up with the amount of work? Hire some help. Bet you can find people looking for jobs in those very chairs were all tired of waiting in.

Terrible customer service. The wait time is ridiculously long. The staff are rude.
Get more phone lines and stop putting people on hold forever.
