Wonderful experience! Great prices! Great atmosphere! Love this place!

DO NOT GO HERE. I got my nails done and they look AWFUL. The previous color on my nails was not taken off properly (I pointed that out 3x and was ignored each time) and he put acrylic on over it. All of my nails are different lengths and some are crooked. Every single time I asked him to fix what he was doing, I was ignored or told I’m wrong.Please save your money and DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. There are many other salons in town that don’t rudely ignore their customers and do a much better job.

I love this place! Marry and Jimmy have been doing my nails for 20+ years. They are very nice people and I have never been disappointed in the way my nails look when they are done. Marry is very talented in nail designs an!d their $45 pedicures are divine!

Loved this place. The ladies doing my nails did a wonderful job. By far the most relaxing pedicure I have had. No nail touch ups needed for the acrylics I got were perfectly shaped. I denoted one star due to how long I had to wait, but over all a great salon.

Unfortunately, I didnt get my nails done here. I had an appointment for a full set at 12:00 and the only technician on staff was still busy with somebody else at 1:20. My friend got a gel manicure which was beautiful and a good price, but she still had to wait a solid 30 minutes after her reservation.

I have tried this place three times now. Everytime they charge more than they quote. I am fed up and will not go back. My fill today cost $45! He quoted $25 for gel fill but didnt tell me the polish I picked was an extra $20. There is no way I would ever pay $45 for two week fills. Then tried to tell me my daughters were an extra $5 because of the shape she had him file. Ridiculous. Three visits, never once what they quoted.The reason I am giving it two stars is because the nail tech did a good job and she wasnt the bone who quoted me.

I have been a faithful customer for 13+ years and Vina is the only nail salon I will commit to. Ive tried other salons in Anchorage, but always end up breaking a nail within a couple of days, but going to Vina, I have no issues or complaints about my nails. I have a great relationship with Jimmy and Mary and they are awesome at what they do. I dont mind the foreign language spoken around me, in fact, I myself am fluent in another language as well. So hearing it, doesnt bother me. I figure if I cared too much about what they say around me whether its about me or not, I wouldnt get the satisfaction of service I do receive. People will talk about me for the rest of my life, but its how I respond to it that matters! 5 stars for Vina Nails!!!! Keep up the great work!

Your reviews were most helpful. I called for an appt with Marry and agree that she is the best. Vina is very clean, very friendly, and do an excellent job. I was most appreciative of the fact that they are not constantly speaking to on another in Vietnamese (as if you are invisible) like in many of the Anchorage salons. I will definitely be a regular customer there from now on!

Staff didnt seem to know about the appointment I made, didnt clean up the nails very well. Not very good service at all.Got a pedicure and the lady took a chuck of my heel!

I was made to wait for three hours to get my nails done and I never got them done everytime I was about to leave they would say you next but would take another caucasian client that didnt wait as long as me. I was met with racism and rudeness at this salon. Will never go there again.

Ive been here before & its always moderate at best. I came in recently for a full set & the women made my nails look so horrific that my new nail lady (Beauty Nails & Spa) saw them & looked appalled & all I could say was I know. Every nail was a different shape, & my index & pinky nails were so much shorter than one another that I could tell anytime my hand touched something. The people are nice but I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

This was my first nail salon to visit after moving to Anchorage. I like that this place is so close to my house, but I will definitely try out other salons before finding my regular spot. I called in advance to make sure they were open and taking walk-ins. She said they were not busy and that what I wanted done was $25. I went in and everyone looked at me like they were surprised I was coming in or like they didnt want my business. The lady who ended up helping me stomped over like she was upset she was getting my business and barely said hi. She stomped back to her station and sat down, barely giving me enough time to pick out the color I wanted. She said maybe 10 words to me the entire time, which is fine- Im not there to socialize, but what bothered me was that she seemed like she was either really unhappy or having a terrible day or both! I got a shellac manicure, which turned out....okay at best. She didnt ask me what shape or how long I wanted my nails, she just decided for me that she would sort of file the nails I had (all of different sizes) and leave them that way. So now I have an ok color and nails of all different sizes. When she went to ring me up, it was $35. Miscommunication/misunderstanding? I guess so. Also, the salon itself is not that nice nor a very relaxing atmosphere.

DIRTY... look at the photo attached. Water that the tools were in were dirty and when asked to change the water she said that it was dirty from a cotton ball.... that’s BS. Don’t come here....

I think they do an excellent job giving manicures and pedicures, in fact after trying a few other places around town I have returned there even though their location is not particularly convenient for me. Mary in particular is very talented with the art work she does on my toes. I dont go to a nail salon looking for conversation or attention. Judging from other posts I may be odd but I dont care what language staff speaks as long as they are attentive to what they are doing with my nails. I frankly assume they have many things to talk about other than the customers in their store.

My husband and I showed up for our 6:00 pedi appointments after this place was recommended by a friend. My first thought upon walking in was man, this place could use a makeover, but I knew that wouldnt necessarily have anything to do with my nails. They didnt get us into our pedi chairs until nearly 6:30! The ladies tended to our feet and all was well for a while. When they finished, my toes looked great!An hour later, and I am now getting a repair done on a solar gel nail that had broken. She had gotten polish on my finger and I now had a wonky shaped nail that didnt quite match the others. I looked around to see where she went because I wanted her to file my sides in a little. She was working on another girls nails already. She didnt end up charging me for the nail repair though, so hey. I saved $5 or whatever it would have cost.My analysis: Great pedicure, sloppy manicure. Pretty poor time management for a business. I would come back for a pedicure because not only was I happy with the end result, and it was cheap.

I stopped in yesterday for a mani/pedi based on the Google reviews, and boy was it worth it! It smelled no more of nail chemicals than any other salon, everyone was very nice and the treatment was excellent. I also upgraded to the UV gel finish for my nails (a first for me) and it turned out gorgeous -- a translucent silver with a little sparkle.As for the language issue, I dont understand why it would bother anyone. I have my nose in a book for the entire pedicure anyway.In short, I will definitely be back!

They reuse their nail files, do not wipe down the seats after each person, and my gel nails turned out horrible! I would not recommend this place. I just noticed they dont clean out the tubs either in between people... Gross.

Best place to get your nails done!

I went to this salon for approximately 5 years straight and then moved out of the neighborhood so I started going somewhere else. Recently I went there because my I have always really liked them and it is hard to find people you really like and can trust to do a good job. My regular lady was on vacation, so both my daughter and I went and had a fill and some great designs done (Lin really is creative in that sense). When we left there we were really happy and even considering coming back again, even though it was quite a bit more money than where we regularly go. The problems started that night when my daughter broke one nail and another cracked, and the next day all of her polish was all cracked up, and two of my nails were also all cracked up. We called and Lin (the girl who did them) said to meet her there at 6:30. We waited until 7:00 when she finally called the salon to tell us she wasnt going to make it. Jimmy, one of the owners, then decided he would fix them, and did that by putting superglue on the cracked nail and a new top coat over all of them. The next day they all started cracking again and they were worse than they were to begin with. We had to wait a few more days to go back because my daughter has kids and couldnt get a babysitter until the weekend. My daughter had called earlier in the day (this was Friday) to try to make an appointment for Lin to fix them all, but was told weekends are very busy for them, and to just walk in. So when we picked up the kids and went over there that (Friday) evening, Lin said that they were trying to figure out why it happened, which caused us to ask for a refund so that we could have our regular lady do them right. First we were told that they put their time in to it too and they wouldnt give a full refund. Then my daughter said ok, give me what you feel is fair and then Jimmy said NO REFUNDS because we are willing to repair them. We told him we werent interested because not only had he already tried and it got worse afterwards and they didnt even know why it was happening, which made us think the fix probably wouldnt work again, but when we had an appointment, she was a no show and at that moment we had all of the kids with us and couldnt let them try again right then. This is also when we found out that they used acrylic when we had gel, and were not even asked what we already had on our nails. I was really quite surprised and disappointed to know that they wouldnt make things right, and at that point, I realized that it was all about money to them and that I would never go there again, and we said forget it and walked out. Our regular nail lady says that happens when people use inferior products. Bottom line is this all could have been avoided with a little customer service.

If your looking for a cheap nail salon this is the place, but its not too good..... I love my pedicures & a great foot massage, Didnt really get that.

I hate vina nails. I went to get my nails done one day and they did an awful job and the lady that did my nails was so rude. I asked for my nails shorter and she grunted and huffed and puffed she did an awful job on my nails one nail was huge it pretty much covered the skin on my thumb they were all different lengths and sizes she did an awful paint jobs could still see some of the nail and I asked for stiletto and she gave me and oval shape and she charged me extra for no reason. I paid a hole lot more money that I was supposed to I was very mad and unsatisfied I had to go home and re shape and paint them even had to even the lengths I would not recommend vina nails I would recommend OMG nails or Todays Nails
