0 stars would be more realistic. The worst customer service all the way around. From not delivering packages. Not leaving a we tried to deliver/pick up slip. Not contacting. Not having appropriate open times to accommodate peoples work schedules when having to pick up said not delivered package. Not giving notice to customers living in locked entrances to have their packages sent elsewhere to avoid all of the above. I tried suggesting this notice to an employee who stated it wasnt their problem. As an employee you have the inside to suggest such ideas more then a customer so mam yes, you work there, it is your problem. I will never recommend nor use UPS again.

Recently I sent an envelope with documents from Japan to Argentina via Yamato Transport. From Anchorage it has been taking in charge by UPS. Despite it travelled for several airports and countries it reached destination airport very fast. It was a sin that the local office in Buenos Aires taken 36h for delivery it. In any case it was a record for a total journey door to door of less than 7 days!

This place is the epitome of incompetence. I have never once had a package that didn’t experience a delay in Anchorage. Security check delay, broken plane, couldn’t fit on plane, machinery malfunction. UPS in general is great, UPS Anchorage however is absolutely awful....

UPS IS UNRELIABLE.! Actually that is not quite right because they are pretty reliable in messing up about every service. Today they reported delivering my LL Bean package. We were home all day and no one came to the door. So if you see a UPS employee in a blue turtleneck and some snazzy black snow sneakers drop me a line. SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND THE COST OF MISSING PACKAGES - AVOID UPS!

Working at a shipping company makes me laughed at these reviews. On the other hand giving them 3 stars only because I have my good and bad experiences regarding some of the drivers who had delivered my package. Some will go above and beyond and some just dont care, does not even knock on the door or anything but just left a note without trying to ring the doorbell. Also, your app tracking sucks PLEASE FIX IT.

The absolute rudest customer service agent I have ever spoken to! She should be ashamed of herself! The unprofessional behavior, lack of communication skills, and hanging up on me when asked a question is a complete embarrassment to UPS! She called at 12:18 pm alaska time on 2-11-2021 to tell me that the package that was scanned in Anchorage at midnight was not actually in Anchorage and that I could come in to pick it up but my package will not be there.

Had letter from Burlington Wa to Wasilla. UPS store clerk advised that only way to get to Alaska was UPS ground, first lie.Pckg left burlington and arrived in Ontario in a timely manner and remained there for over 37 hours! During which time two flights departed for Anchorage, the local “feeder” location. It has now been there for over 14 hours.Tried to do what is called a package intercept to just pick it up myself, arranged through sender. Spoke to 5 different “customer service” reps who1) could barely speak English2)told me it was still in plane on ground3) said impossible to do this4) after continuing trying to contact”supervisor”, waiting on hold for over a cumulative 37 minutes it was blatantly obvious that I was, again, speaking to the fist “customer service rep.5) was then hung up on6) had a call from” unknown number” and when answered was hung up on 2 separate occasions, a little research and a redial confirmed this was a call center for UPS.To surmise my son in law sent an envelope from Burlington WA to Wasilla Alaska. Was told it “had to go ground” which was a lie and was charged over 44.00. Letter has been at your sorting hubs, on the ground fir well over 48 hours and I’m guessing much longer,and the time sensitive check it contains is now moot. Escrow company has niw voided purchase.I would like you to know that if your CEO and board of directors were on fire I wouldn’t piss on them to them outYour company is a jokeYour customer service is a jokeYou UPS store franchisee is a jokeAnd lastly, I suppose the joke is on me as I was foolish enough to chose your companyNEVER AGAIN!

I have been trying for years to get the Anchorage dispatcher to understand that we are a business office with posted hours. They refuse to acknowledge this and it almost seems they go out of their way to deliver when we are closed.Twice they left deliveries outside to freeze in subzero weather when we were closed. And all this while authorities are warning everyone to be wary of packages left on the doorstep, and package theft is rampant in Anchorage.So I filed a damage claim on one of the packages. A week later with no response I called again and they said they would send someone to pick up the package. And they show up at 7:30 PM! Over 3 hours after closing.By far the worst shipping service in Alaska. Avoid them at all costs. Sadly sometimes the shipper doesnt give an option. They act like a monopoly.

I had a very small box delivered today while I was at work. UPS left it on the ground in front of my secured building. Not even on the porch! The box was in view of everyone and I am lucky it wasnt stepped on and crushed or stolen! Avoid this company at all costs!!

I have waited to write a review to see if they would get their act together, but they have failed! Complete joke!! I have a security code on my front door and they NEVER deliver my packages! They have the security in their system. I call anytime I have a package out for delivery to confirm the driver has my security code and they always assure me that they do...nonetheless I always receive an email stating they attempted to deliver my package, but could not due to a security code needed to enter the building. No one ever attempts to deliver! I have been home and watched and no one has even come to the front door! This company is scum for taking peoples money and not fulfilling their service! Then they expect me to come pick up my package 30 miles round trip when I paid for delivery! Totally and utterly wrong!

After googling how to file a complaint about a driver and reading some of these reviews its obviously UPS doesnt care too much about their customers. Our regular driver is awesome but if anyone else gets his route they refuse to take our shipments after dumping our boxes in the lobby of the store. An old man helped me carry boxes to the back today because the driver refused to wheel his cart 10 more feet to the back.

As far as i can remember, i never had a problem with ups. im blown away by the stories people leave for reviews on google. i guess im one of the lucky ones. perhaps its because i dont make any expensive requests and always have it shipped to my home address where i wait for it that day to come.

These folks have been wonderful. I use this location all the time for business and I havent had a problem from their end yet. I am sorry to hear others are having issues, but my experience has been that the staff are eager to help and remember me when I come in even though they see hundreds everyday.

My documents entrusted ups delivery from Vancouver, Canada to Shanghai, China, costing me $87.67 Canadian dollars, they said to arrive before Christmas. But I dont know why my document stayed in Louisville KY US for a full three days. Today the file actually arrived in Anchorage, Alaska. traveling around the world? This kind of express delivery is so disappointed.

I went by to pick up an undelivered package and was greeted by some unfriendly people. I dont know if it was an off day for them, but they seemed ticked off that I was there. They didnt have the package ready for me and refused to go find it. When I returned later, I was greeted by a much happier person who had my package waiting for me.

Ordered a $130 3x4 canvas painting and UPS delivery lost it! When I called customer service I was being rushed off the phone with quick answers that were made to try to make me feel stupid like Youre package was delivered on April 27 at 3:08pm, so theres nothing to worry about sir. Just look around your house and you will find it. Seriously! Like I didnt notice a 3 foot by 4 foot packing just lounging around my living room or front door for the past week! Ive had other packages left down by my mailbox for anyone to grab, or completely disappeared into thin air like this one! Nobody at UPS has offered any polite assistance finding any of these!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!Package was supposed to be DELIVERED on Friday. My son WAS HOME, and they did NOT deliver or leave a note!!! On my Amazon order it said they would attempt to deliver next business day, Monday. Guess what! THEY DONT DELIVER ON MONDAY, they dont even attempt to because I have been waiting all afternoon for them, instead they take it to a store and then POST ON AMAZON THAT IT WAS DELIVERED.....A BIG FAT LIE!!!! Im in Homer, Alaska. We have ONE drop off box, and it is not big enough to drop off anything but envelopes! The UPS guy at the 1-800 number told me to go there, and WAIT FOR THE UPS GUY COMING AROUND 6 PM! WTH?? I love our UPS driver in Homer; hes a great guy! BUT this company? Theyre stupid and have NO clue about how to service clients that are not in major cities! Rural service? USE FED EX OR USPS! Everyone at this company deserves to be fired. Utterly incompetent and deceitful. Changed the apartment number on the delivery address for my packages (without mine or the senders knowledge or consent) causing a delay. Couldnt deliver it as it is without causing another delay. Saw the driver drive RIGHT PAST MY APARTMENT BUILDING as I was waiting for them to deliver the packages - didnt even stop to leave a notice. Customer Service apparently cant even call them up, they have to leave messages for them whenever theres a problem.Dont EVER use this company - its not worth it.

If i could give negative stars, I would. My most recent attempt to receive mail shipped via UPS looked is still being resolved - almost a month later! My package arrived in Anchorage October 24, where is was scanned daily with notices it was delayed due to weather (I am in Dutch Harbor). After the 30th, all activity stopped until November 12 when it was scanned, still in Anchorage, still waiting to be put on a flight. According to customer service, they cannot say when, if ever, this item will be placed on a flight, then they insist they cannot find it, then come back around with its all because of weather. I HATE UPS. I would never choose them as a mail service personally, and often look for alternative vendors when I see they ship UPS.You have ONE JOB, United Parcel Service. Get your act together.

This has to be the worst mailing service in the history of mail! In the past 35 days, UPS had managed to deliver the last 3 packages to another home other then my own. How in the hell do you not pay attention to the address on the packages and your GPS system you use?!?!?!.. I am now missing $500 in items that are non-replaceable! On top of the rude, nasty, people whom work there. They dont follow through with anything and all they say is you need to file a claim. Your idiot driver needs to pay attention to what hes doing!

Do NOT use UPS to ship to Southeast Alaska. Virtually every overnight shipment arrives in Anchorage - and then sits for days for a “...required security check...”. I have an “overnight” package that arrived in Anchorage on December 29th at 6AM - the. Got stuck for a required security check. 5 days later it’s still stuck in Anchorage ...UNBELIEVABLE/ awful service.

Ordered new PC parts for a new build. I need this for my work. UPS guy showed up while I was taking a nap, I later called them and they said the package is at a facility and I can pick it up. Today Ive spent 6 hours trying to find said facility. Everyone at the UPS stores has been clueless and cannot provide phone numbers. Went into Anchorage at the UPS on Lockheed and she called a guy in Wasilla who confirmed having the package at a facility there. She gave me an address, which I assumed was legit. Upon googling the address once back in Wasilla it doesnt seem to exist. No one at the 1-800 number has been able to provide me with either a phone number or address. Its beyond comical at this point.

Horrible, horrible experience trying to get a package delivered correctly. Through UPSs incompetence it took me all day of calling and live chatting just to get denied and told by them it was my fault. Please choose another shipper that will get your package to you correctly and in a timely manner.

A package was misdelivered to my office--it was addressed correctly, but to the previous tenant; obviously the shipper didnt know of the move. I called UPS (800 number, there is no local number available) immediately to report the error and have the package picked up. Today, two days later, I phoned again, as this large box is still sitting in our reception area. The woman I spoke with said she couldnt let the Anchorage UPS office know about it until after 10 a.m., and it might be tomorrow before its picked up. FOUR DAYS to retrieve a package erroneously delivered. If I were the shipper, Id be furious. The local delivery guys are very nice, but this company overall seems extraordinarily disorganized, inefficient, and unconcerned about customer service.

Then she said they cant change it and I cant change it either. She said call customer service. They were no help. Wouldnt leave my package at my door even though I expressly asked for it to be there. Customer service asked for my secure building code to give to the driver!!! I said no and the agent told me that I could pick it up or wait another 3 days for it to be delivered even though its sitting at the facility 5 miles away... Their hours are 12p-6p and now Ill have to take time from work to go get a package thats way overdue to begin with. Im also giving feedback to Amazon and the seller. I will not purchase items shipped by UPS ever again.

Unfortunately I had to pick up a package from UPS for something I ordered off of amazon. I was aware the center closed at 6 PM today and I got there at 5:40 the first thing I hear is a lady complaining about how the door wasnt locked and then asking what I wanted. She told another employee loudly to lock the door to make sure no more damn people come in anymore and then kept cutting me off before I can say anything. Someone else tried to get in a couple minutes after us and shes yelling again for someone to open the door. When she gave me my package she told the other employee to follow me out the door and lock it. I can tell how awkward it was for me and this other person. SO RUDE

In a word: terrible. I have NEVER dealt with a delivery service so completely unconcerned with customer service. If I could give them less than a star I would. I was deliberately mislead by their agents resulting in unacceptable additional delay and frustration. This is an avoid at all cost carrier. Ill pay ANYONE else 10X what I paid UPS (which was not the cheapest) for the guarantee that I would NEVER have to experience this utter and complete failure again.

UPS system is customer-unfriendly, and its unfortunate they dont care enough to do something about it. I paid for an international over-night shipment, which, I even asked to pick the package up in person ( doing the work for them ) at their receiving center because the holiday was coming up. They would not allow me, and I ended up waiting 2 more days. I called to request the delivery address me updated because I was going to be 2 blocks away from my residence, and an employee asked if I just wanted to pick up the package. I said if I was not available that would be an acceptable option. The UPS driver showed up in my neighborhood 2 hours after, and drove right past my house. After checking my tracking information, it was changed so that my package was pick up only and now I HAVE to wait 7 hours for the vehicle to return to the main center for me to go pick it up. Theyre officially as bad as USPS. 2.1 rating on 19 reviews, and its ridiculous they dont care enough to address some of these concerns. What a way to do whats right for the customer.

Chances are your overnighted package will sit in Anchorage for three days and everyone will tell you vague replies as to how nothing can be done. The simple fact that this in the only ups store closed on Saturday is atrocious. Even the usps runs on Saturday this place is a joke and a hinderence to anybody who tries to do business with them. Need a VIP delivered and not only did they fail to deliver it ontime they didnt even leave a failed to delever notice at my door. If it wasnt for Amazon I would even know that a delivery was attempted. If I had a choice I would never use their service. I vehemently oppose any recommendation of their services.

Very annoyed with UPS... Broke my camera, had a friends wedding to shoot that weekend. Best Buy didnt have the proper one in store so had to order it. Ordered it Wednesday Evening! It is now Tuesday after Labor Day and has still yet to show up... I payed $30 for second day air which Thursday/Friday (2nd Day) and even Saturday which would have been the third day. But after tracking it online and not seeing it going out on delivery I decided to go down there. However, the service center isnt open! So I call and call and call... Nothing. Finally I needed the camera so bad I called the 1-800 number and talked to John clearly not from the US and argued with me the whole time about how I needed to select 2nd Day Air WITH Saturday Delivery.... Seriously? I have to pay extra to get it delivered on a Saturday? If it isnt on time why would you NOT deliver it on a Saturday? Of course couldnt get the package and then couldnt shoot my friends wedding... Thankfully I borrowed one of my friends camera for the day not thanks to UPS. Also your friends over at FedEx are great. A service center open from 8am - 7pm. Quite nice for those of us who work a 9-6pm job. If I have the choice I will NEVER ship with UPS again.
