I have always felt discriminated against here, particularly by the manager. I was recently late on my account because I lost my debit card. Probably due to the fact that I was upset because my mom passed away. I went in on due date and explained situation and promised to bring my account current within a few days. When I went back within a few days, as promised, I had cash in hand to pay them, and was trying to pay, but the manager threatened to withhold my mail. After bringing my account current, the manager told me I did not have any mail, i.e. I did not receive ANY mail for over ten days! This was particularly upsetting because my mom had mailed me a card a few days before she passed away, and now I have no idea what they did with my mail. Typically I would have received at least a dozen or two pieces of mail within 10 days. I also would have received a paycheck during that time period. At this point I do not trust them to give me my mail, so I tried to find out how to close my account before payment is due again and the manager told me that the day you notify them you want to close account is the day they stop giving you your mail. And you do not have the option of forwarding your mail to a new address, they throw it away! Further, if you forget to notify them on exact last day you have paid through, they will keep charging you, like EVERY month, but not provide service! They do have somewhat of a monopoly here in town so if you open a box, just be very careful.

Mail Cache is absolutely amazing. While I was deployed, they helped me open a box which enabled me to have an address and location to send items back as my future residence was not yet ready. They held on to my duffles, boxes, mail, everything! When I finally came home and was able to go in and retrieve everything, they remembered who I was from my photo and my entire situation. I couldnt believe it and it made me feel so valued and comfortable. They were extremely nice and extremely professional and their location and processes are very orderly. I can not recommend this place enough. Such a pleasure doing business with them!

Love this place. I have worked with them since moving to Alaska in 1995. Still my favorite place to send packages, even though I no longer need a PO Box.

The customer service at The Mail Cache is superb. My shipment was sent promptly and arrived well-packaged. Everyone who works there is kind, caring and communicative. The team goes above and beyond to meet (and exceed!) their customers needs, and their attention to detail is impeccable. Id highly recommend The Mail Cache over any local shipping service!

I have had a mail box here for several years and I really cant recommend them highly enough. Aside from the rates being very reasonable, I know that I dont have to worry about my mail being stolen from the box, tampered with, or just casually tossed on my porch by a delivery person. The hours are convenient, and I like being able to stop by after work or on my lunch break and get my mail. When I took a job overseas, the fabulous people who work there made it very convenient for me to keep up with my deliveries and bills, and forwarded my mail to me regularly There are not many businesses these days where you can walk in as a customer and be greeted by name, even in Alaska. With The Mail Cache, however, I have been--without exception--treated as though my business really matters. As a consumer, that makes a huge difference to me. Simply put: the BEST mail facility in Alaska.

My favorite mail place

Ive had at least one mailbox with Mail Cache since 2003, and Ive always had excellent service. Theyre a small, family-owned business, which I like supporting being a small business owner myself. All their staff know me by name, and are all very fun and personable. Theyre always very helpful and go above and beyond all the time, for both my business and personal accounts. At Christmas time they even put out a box for my 4-year old to put her letter to Santa in, and then she got a letter back from Santa, and she was SO excited.

Have used the Mail Cache for many years to ship precious cargo home when I visit AK. Always nice and helpful, able to build boxes when my items dont fit the regular ones, and always seem to remember me when I swing by after months of being away. Nice to see a local business thrive!

I move around the state a lot due to my work, and Ive opened and closed more than my share of my Alaskan mailboxes. I WISH someone had pointed me to The Mail Cache years ago, because their service with forwarding (and, well, everything) has been top notch!! Friendly, fun, knowledgeable staff! Get their drive-thru window service for a tiny surcharge - in the winter, youll be glad you did!

My family and I have been with the Mail Cache for more than 25 years. We have received the same awesome service year after year. On my recent trip to Alaska, I decided to mail home all my souvenirs because of luggage space limitations. I found The Mail Cache from a basic Google search. The store provided a clean, efficient and comprehensive (box, packing, postage, etc) experience.

Family-owned and run local business. Excellent service and great team. They call when I have an overnight package delivered. Shipping is so expensive from Alaska, they do their best to recommend less expensive alternatives. Especially enjoy the office mascot Willow when she is there.

Great place, the drive through & only one in Anchorage Alaska is a must have come the holidays, however wish the hours were later in the evening as most of us do not get off work until six pm....This is a family business that I highly recommend...professional, efficient and knowledgeable. As a small business operator who has to go to the post office daily, I am the biggest fan of the Mail Cache ever. I suppose if I got paid by the hour, than the USPS would be the way to go, in order to catch up on all my e-mail, or write a novel...However, my time is money, and to be able to walk right in and pick up or mail packages with minimal waiting is truly a delight. The staff is always friendly, personable and willing to help with all my business needs. I like that it is a small family run business and they know me personally. I highly recommend The Mail Cache to anyone wishing to avoid the gridlock of the post office. They even have a drivethru!!

Very friendly and helpful. I have used them before for amazon returns. Today I shipped out some caribou and salmon and the ladies at the front counter helped me through the entire process and it was a lot cheaper than I thought. Thank you for everything!!
