Only place in town I can find older toys. One of my favorite games is there and its a hard find. Also great for an abacus 🧮.

Classic Toys has a great selection of toys and the customer service is really awesome too, Pam was awesome!! Barbara helped my daughter paint a rock, a great activity she really enjoyed and she got a body back too! So glad we stopped by! This is somewhere is definitely visit again and recommend to others. Its really a place the whole family can enjoy!

We were greeted at the door by a very nice lady. Possible owner. She was always available if I had any questions. She talked to my daughter like she was a person. Which a lot of people either talk down to little kids or dont talk to them at all. I really appreciated that. I was looking for small toys to go in a reward box for my daughter. Between the two you stores in Anchorage, Classic Toys has the best selection. I would definitely recommend bringing your kids. There is a lot to see.

They have great toys and great service

This store was packed! Toys were being handled like crazy and nothing being wiped down. To make it worse, customers and employees accosted my wife while struggling with our two toddlers for not being able to wear a mask due to a medical condition. We were about to support our local businesses by dropping a good amount of money. We refuse to ever support any local businesses that discriminated against Hispanic women that have conditions that prevent mask wearing.

They were very helpful, willing to wrap a out of store present because I was also shopping there!, i am very grateful for the kindness, and will always be back...

Why go to Disneyland from Alaska when you can just stop at Classic Toys and travel in time to place and space where a single toy occupied every bit of your attention. Great store, amazing people, and eclectic selection within the world of Joy.

Great experience with the staff. Helped me out real quickly. Store is neat and very pleasing to the eyes. They have new toys and even the old nostalgic toys, gag gifts and games, and a lot of the in betweens. Prices vary, but the products are worth it when it seems steep.

Super cool brick & mortar toy store in Anchorage. They carry a lot of the classic toys and some that arent easily found in the Big Box stores (e.g. Brio, Playmobile, tons of lego sets). A sizable variety of imagination-play, puzzle, board games, educational and science toys too. A great stop for the holidays and birthdays and just to look around.

Very friendly staff. I heard they had Breyer horses so I checked them out and bought a few. Ive been going back to buy more! They are my go to to buy Breyers now. They also have quite a nice supply of other cool toys, including Calico Critters, Lottie Dolls, Schleich horses and animals, and lots more! And the prices for getting Breyers there are great! Much better to go there than pay online + shipping.

Employees are always kind and ready to help. Toy brands are outstanding. Has a little book section, great tub toys, a game wall for older kids and adults too. Lots of building sets for young school aged children.

This place is awesome. From the assortment of toys, not all of which I would really go so far as to call classic, its easy to get lost, it is only a small drawback. The employees are pretty great as well. This post was edited on 2/28/2018 for clarity and understanding. The drawback of classic versus nonclassic toys is not why I rated it four stars. In recognition of the store being great, the 4 stars is strictly due to parking availability. It is much easier to park farther away and visit but the nearby parking options (Barnes and Noble and Dennys) can be treacherous depending on weather and small children accompanying the visit.
