Rented a broken pressure washer on 4/29 and returned evening of 5/1. The guy at the counter charged me full price after I tried to explain how it didnt work, I complained and he said the best he could do is half price. I was somewhat okay with that, since I didnt use the tool on the first day of rental and didnt know it was broken.... UNTIL!!!!... after the rental guy charged me full price and then I negotiated half-off...The absolute worst part was the 2 guys who came in and they said their rental tool was broken. This guy at the counter canceled their contract and FULLY REFUNDED them in under 3 minutes WHILE Im standing there waiting for a supervisor (it took 2 supervisors for some reason, neither one said anything). He didnt even test the pressure washer to see how it didnt work. (No pressure, the nozzles were faulty, and the pull cord stopped pulling)Forget this place. You could either get a good tool that works and good customer service, or you can get a broken tool and poor customer service that charges you fake charges. For HD, 2 broken tools being returned within a 10 minute span isnt good news. Be sure to take a video of a broken tool, and be sure to demand a full refund if your tool doesnt work. I know for a fact they can and will cancel a contract on the spot. IF they choose it.
Rented a power auger for a fencing job, didnt notice until I got on site that the thing was extremely worn out. Teeth on bit were about as sharp as a bowling ball, air filter cover was broke and falling off.. Generally just a clapped out piece of equipment. Told the guy working the desk on July 4th when I returned the equipment but he didnt seem to mind or try to make things right. I spent 100$ to pick up, drop off and top off with gas...After I dug all by hand lol.. at least make it right or fix the issues Home Depot.. Baileys and United from now on..
Friendly and helpful service Was able to get my rental back before the end of the 4 hours and got it pro-rated. Equipment worked fine with no issues using or on return.
Their celluose insulation tool blows, but the customer service is friendly. Prices are steep because its perhaps the only tool rental in town.
Just rented a jigsaw from this location. (July 28th, 2016). The opening mechanism for the blade didnt work when I got home. Ended up having to borrow a jigsaw from a friend of a friend. Returned the next day and they messed with the saw for a while trying to figure it out. Took it to the back and fixed the issue after a few minutes but they charged me for the use of the saw for a day. Expected them to be understanding for there being a flaw in some cheap plastic. Theyre supposed to check the operation of each tool after every return but you dont know what youre getting til you get home. No discount for AAA, Veteran ID, R/N or Fire Dep. Will not be going back for rental.
Hired two pieces of equipment, and neither worked for more than ten minutes before breaking down. I was given a partial refund, but it still really wasnt worth it.
Convenient.
