These guys built a PC for my dad a few years back. Recently he asked me to look at it because it was really loud and always took several minutes to boot up. When I opened his PC I found that these guys had wired all the case fans directly to the power supply instead of the motherboard. They actually had to cut and re-soldered the wires into a different connector to do this. These guys purposely went out of their way to make my dads pc as loud as possible. The fans were drawing so much power that the PC would actually take about 10 minutes to even start booting after turning it on. If youre new to PC building avoid these guys.

Stay very far away.Inquired about a specialized job that involved leaving my motherboard at the shop and waiting for parts. I was told parts would take a week or two to arrive. Called a couple times only to be told the parts had not arrived yet. After a month and a half, I walked in to find out why this was taking so long. The tech then let it slip they havent even ordered the parts yet! Thanks for wasting my time. You are better off sending your computer to a tech shop in the lower 48. I can all but guarantee you will get it back faster than this place.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Dan and Matt helped me fix a vexing Windows computer that would spontaneously reboot for no apparent reason. These folks have seen it all, and provide sound advice in a friendly environment.

Thank you! Strangers... This is the Best computer company I ever been to. I was a part-time worker. They have the best prices Ive ever seen. The manager is real good at his job. He is the son of the owner. Matt Apted is the manager. Dan Apted is the owner. So far Ive only had the pleasure of meeting Matt Apted, I havent met Dan Apted... But I have heard good things about him....

Grateful. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, father and son, both Veterans trying to make a decent living doing their hobby.Happy. Good place to find computer parts, both new and vintage, better GPU prices than Best Buy, and great computer diagnostics and repair.Confident. Very knowledgeable in their field; a five minute conversation with one employee and I was able to push my tiny discrete AMD R7 240 to give me both the performance and graphics of a Nvidia GTX 950 just by moving a few parts to different pci-e port on my specific board and making some tweaks.Amazed. These guys really have seen everything; Dan was telling me about a water-cooled PC that was operated with a bulge pump from Lowe’s and a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot!!!Suggestion. If you’re looking for something computer related on that side of town, do yourself a huge favor and stop by Custom CPU on the way there, if nothing else your trip will be paid for in good conversation.Fair. Don’t let the vintage monitors in the window scare you off before you look at everything else there, they have some really new stuff too for great prices, especially PSU’s, just tell one of them to set you up.Amused. It seems most people in the reviews have never talked to a Vietnam Veteran before; I cannot really blame them for not understanding; Vietnam was Hell on Earth and most of these guys probably think Hell is an IRL version of the video game Doom.Sarcastic. You can even read about it on his website, where he states that it’s the “Cranky Geek opinion,” so if you can’t handle his cranky humor like a grownup then you’re best off going to a place that will kiss your butt and treat you like a special snowflake with no emotional control.

Paid for a 2k+ laptops keyboard and ports to be repaired. Should have realized it was a bad Idea as we were walking out and the man who was servicing it ( and who is also the owner or co-owner) started jabbing it with screwdriver to get the keyboard off. Returned later to find the laptop in a worse state and I regret paying for it against my better judgement as not only was he being rude in the exchange but I could clearly see my laptop was not in a better condition. Considering the service I asked is one of the simplest tasks and their was staggering incompetence I would not suggest you put your trust in this business for anything else.

The only power supplies they carry turned out to be a severe safety and fire hazard. It turns out the cheap Chinese 575 watt psu was overheating and melted part of the board. They are sponsored by the manufacturers and lie that they never have problems with their high quality power supplies.

If you want old crappy parts at astronomically high prices head their way. Tried to sell me a 10 year old cpu for 200 bucks. Very rude and unfriendly. Try Computer Renaissance. More bang for your buck.

Very poor experience. If you want to deal with poor customer service and pushy employees, by all means, go here. The man behind the counter continually spoke to me as if I was an idiot. I told him I have built more than one gaming rig and know a little bit about this stuff.I had recently come across an older motherboard that I needed some info about as well as RAM. He didnt seem to have time and kept refering to a customer Im helping right now. We finally found RAM and he wanted to charge 5.00 per 512 stick. I asked if he could go any lower and he responded angrily WHATS IT WORTH TO YOU?I told him I had stumbled upon the motherboard for $5.00 and asked if I could take the OUTDATED DDR2 USED RAM for $10 for 2GB. It may have been a lowball, but I was trying to bargain. He proceeded to tell me to have fun without the RAM.I started walking out and saw another man who I found out was the owner. I told him I was having a bad experience and was looking to find a better deal on used RAM out of a box on the shelf. The first man then told the owner that I was trying to JEW him for half price.Wow. Good luck with your business. I was going in for some help about a motherboard I was trying to learn about and I left with such a sour taste in my mouth I wont ever go back. Unless it to warn people about how you are a**holes.
