My husband and I rent a unit through a rental property here in Anchorage. Their maintenance team rented out the services of Kleb’s Mechanical to do an inspection on our boiler/ furnace. We received a missed call from Peter stating that he was suppose to be at our unit 3 hours prior but he was held up at another job. He then stated he could be at our unit in 15- 30 minutes and to give him a call back to confirm. We called Peter back right after the missed call and told him at that exact moment of the call we were not at our house but could be there in 10 minutes. He then proceeded to tell us never mind we can just reschedule. Fast forward to today, my husband and I received a bill for $230.05 for a “no showed” appointment. I am very frustrated and angry at the lack of professionalism coming from this company and from Peter. It seems like they wanted to make money and not do their job. I would not recommend using their services.
I was so impressed with the turn around time and service provided by this company. They provided quick response time and fast turn around on providing me a quote for a water heater replacement. I really don’t have anyone in Alaska to call on to help me with these things here and with working full time and a little one, it is challenging to get things done. The Scheduler/Dispatcher had a very customer driven demeanor and the Plumber was awesome with communicating with me on arrival times, which helped me with getting my GSD pup put in my room. His notice gave me time to get my pup in the room and my daughter down for a nap without a barking dog. The water quality is already so much better.I will definitely be using this company in the future for other services and updates. I cannot thank them enough.
Larry from Klebs was a great help, knowledgeable, and friendly. He diagnosed the problem with our furnace and was back a few days later to install the new part. He even helped us with an override of the control panel to have heat while waiting for the new one. Larry became a welcome guest in our home after the first visit - I was comfortable with him here to install the control board when my husband was not home, which I find very important. I also must give kudos to Klebs for their fair pricing - their service fee was the best in town and the control panel was sold to us at a fair market price. Thank you, Klebs and Larry! Tons of stars, highly recommend!
I had a pipe burst in my ceiling Friday night and we had water spraying all over the place. I called Klebs and from the moment they answered the phone they made me feel like it was their problem too. One of their on call plumbers John Y called me back and made it over to my place as fast as he could and got the leak fixed and the situation under control. Great service, great work, and even after hours on a Friday night the price was reasonable. I cant recommend them more highly.
As a Real Estate Professional, I love working with Klebs. I get honest work, at an honest rate. I never feel like the objective is to mine my, or worse, my customers pockets. Looking for a complete replacement? I have found very competitive rates...tell them, The King Sent You!
Very happy with Klebs. I just needed a garbage disposal installed. Some places never called me back. One gave me a 6 week waiting period. Klebs was able to schedule an appointment two days out. As promised, the plumber called a half hour ahead to say he was on his way. Larry showed up on time, was efficient and professional, and had the job done in under half an hour. I would definitely use Klebs again.
I have nothing but great things to say about this company. We have the klebs care plan, which is phenomenal. We signed up after they installed our new water heaters and it has proved to be so beneficial. We had a pipe burst and they came out and fixed it right away, it was super affordable with the klebs care plan and I think they such a great resource for any home owner who doesnt know how to do these things themselves. David was the plumber who came, he was courteous, quick and professional. Everything was fixed right away. Thank you as always you guys!
Furnace went out and they lent us space heaters until we could get the furnace fixed. Newborn at home and they understood the importance of having heat in winter. They were late to reply with a quote but absolutely made it right by trying to take care of us. Will be using them to replace out hot water heater when it goes out, would absolutely recommend in the future. They actually care about people, which is hard to find. Love this company and these people.
My water heater went out this past week.. not only was Klebs quick to send someone over, they also took the time to help me out over the phone! The quality of service and professionalism provided were outstanding! The owner Mike is caring and makes sure his customers get taken care of!Larry his on call tech guy was quick and thorough and got my water heater working in no time.100% recommend Klebs!
Larry was awesome found the leak quickly and fixed it, he was great and very knowledgeable thanks Larry
My first dealing with Klebs was in 2002 when my new furnace was installed. Since then I have it serviced regularly and repaired twice. The services are always professional and the repairman are always courteous. I have nothing but positive things to say about Klebs and recommend them and their services.
They installed a $10k high-efficiency boiler in our house when we moved in. We were originally told these boilers last for 20-30 years, but the unit failed after 13 years (just outside the 12 year manufacturer warranty). I called Klebs three times to get someone to look at the boiler to find out about fixing and/or replacing it. First time I left a message - no response. A week later I spoke with someone who told me an estimater would call me back and schedule a time, but nobody ever did call back. So, another week later I called a third time and ended up having to leave another message. Its now three weeks later and there has still been no response from them. Ive been pretty patient because of the whole COVID situation, but this is VERY poor customer service by Klebs. In the meantime multiple other heating companies have come out to give me estimates after Klebs failed to respond, so the ongoing pandemic really isnt an excuse at all. They simply took our money for an expensive product and then refused to deal with it once it broke. I would recommend finding a different heating company that stands behind the products they sell!
TLDR; Best value and fastest response/installation of the several companies I reached out to for a boiler replacement. Very efficient and clean, got my boiler and water heater back in a day.It was Christmas when my boiler started leaking somewhat profusely from the holding tank. I reached out to the company that had serviced it before I bought the house, and they took almost 2 weeks to stop by and look. In the meantime I had some others stop by, including Klebs. Klebs was by far the clearest about what needed to be done, and the most pleasant to deal with. They were quick with responses and were able to fit me in to their repair schedule within a week, despite my unit having an uncommon setup that needed some special parts. Two technicians (both named John) came, put down floor protector, and got to work. They started at 9:30am and kept going until it was done late that night. They brought heaters to keep my house liveable while the boiler was down, and seemed very determined to get the job done efficiently so we wouldnt have to go without heat/hot water. I dont know much about these kinds of systems, but they did a lot of custom pipework, including cutting and soldering to get it done.Best of all, this replacement cost 82% of the average from other quotes. They bundled in some services that I can call on if anything else goes wrong in the near future at no extra charge, so I have peace of mind that my wallet wont get any more sad than it is already! Best case scenario, I wont have to do a project like this again, but if I do, Ill be going back to Klebs.
Klebs saved the day! Im 9 months pregnant and woke up to a cold house of 60 degrees and made a call to Klebs. They responded right away and were able to get my heat back up in just a few hours. Really happy with the service! Thanks guys!!
John did a fantastic job! Came early and was able to fix everything quickly. Very knowledgeable and efficient! Excellent work ! Thanks
Had two furnaces installed in our very large house several years ago. We chose Klebs after soliciting several bids, and they seemed to be the most knowledgeable and professional. They did a very good job, and there were absolutely no hitches in the process, though it was a complicated procedure (had to switch from three furnaces to two). If you want competent, experienced technicians, call Klebs.
Klebs installed a high efficiency combi unit for my duplex. They installed the new system faster than expected and were very professional. Very happy customer!
We have had nothing but Superior work from Klebs. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Our family was out of state and had a house sitter watching our place. She called over the weekend and said that the house was about 50 degrees. (in February) We called KLEBS immediately because 2 years ago the same thing happened and they were immediate in response. Within one hour they came to the house, checked everything out, and got the heat back on that afternoon. We scheduled a maintenance service on our boiler system and they cleaned and replace anything that needed it – and we have comfort knowing everything is done right!
Service was great! I bought a new furnace that was damaged in shipping but the tech didnt know until it was installed, once it was known they replaced it with another unit immediately. I would definitely use Klebs again.
Ive had Klebs over twice now to do work and both times they encountered unexpected problems. I was sweating that my bill was going to explode as they were troubleshooting for a long time. Both times, they were able to fix what was wrong and honorably charged me what they had originally quoted. Nothing is cheap in Alaska and great customer service is hard to find. My wife and I were really pleased that they ate the extra time and charged us more than a fair price for their service. Get the Star Service Plan is my recommendation. Well use Klebs for anything plumbing or heating related and will recommend them to our friends.
I appreciate KLEBS because they understand The Golden Rule . They often are willing and able to fix other mechanical problems that are caused by the previous person or owner that didnt know what they were doing. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I also would recommend that customers who have an emergency describe in DETAIL what is happening on their end.
March 2015 - Furnace went out on a weekend so the old lady called Klebs. She talks to the technician on call who just asks for the address (no mention that he lives in a town 30 minutes away, and no mention of the fact that he will be on the clock for his driving time at over $200/ HR). To be precise, I live in Anchorage and this guy drove from Eagle River. I was on the hook for 32 minutes before he stepped in my front door.Next makes it out to the house, and starts fiddling around with the furnace (I already had the lid of). He tested wires by literally plugging them in and out and blowing on them for about 30 minutes, with the conclusion that they were fine. He finally decided to test the inducer blower (which should have been tested first; pretty much the only mechanical part there) and lets us know its bad. He said unfortunately he doesnt have that part and will have to check their inventory on Monday (the next day). The only thing he could give me was a bill for $300 for what should have been a 5 minute diagnosis (i understand the weekend rates and 1/2 hour minimum charge they have, so would have been fine paying $110 or whatever for the diagnosis). But, to pay $300 and still not have the problem fixed? To leave an even fouler taste, this guy promised that Klebbs will get back to me first thing the next day (which was a Monday). No one got back to me (its been a week now as of this post).Morale of the story is go with anyone but these guys. I called Moore heating. No issues with those guys except for the 200% markup on the part (compared to internet price). I just needed the work done asap due to cold weather so couldnt wait a couple of days.
Terrible. I did get a new furnace, but the quote didnt include necessary work, so now Im left with an unsafe system that is not up to code. Fixing the problem would have cost me another $850. I was almost willing to suffer that additional rip-off charge, but then they didnt who up when scheduled and they quit returning my calls. Klebs sucks! Avoid. Avoid. Avoid!
Paid thousands for them to install new furnace and on-demand hot water heater. Their lack of expertise in all areas of the install forced them to come out 5 additional times. Exhaust pipes into roof were leaking water, adjustments to water heater were way off. 1 year later they had to come back out because the furnace wasnt working. I was told it was a condensation issue and theyd install a t bar to fix it. They insisted on payment regardless of the great warranty they claimed at the time of install. I found out several weeks later that the t bar should have been completed at install. I immediately asked for a refund in march 2015 and then asked again in May and June. Just hours before filing a small claims case (Aug 2015) they deposited that money back into my account with no apology, no communication. Some of their service guys seemed to be really nice, but I will never use this company again even for repairs to their own work. I would really like to see compensation for the hours taken off of work and the permanent purple glue on my vinyl.
This company was impossible to deal with. I had to contact the company multiple times after paying for the deposit in order to set up the appointment. After about 4 messages, no call-backs and 10 business days, I was able to set up an appointment with the company the following week. They asked for a deposit and I willingly provided the credit card information as that made sense; I asked how much they wanted to install the bathroom fan and they said it should only take a couple hours of work so a couple hundred dollars. Since there was no wiring needed and since the original fan was already removed, I thought 2-3 hours seemed reasonable.Being that my mother was at the house when they arrived and left, I know that they were not working on it for more than 2 hours; however I got charged $800, or 6 hours of work; the worst thing is that there was no follow-up with me, nor did they leave me a work-order or mail me a bill. They charged my credit card without calling or sending me any notification of the hours worked on the job, which was higher than that quoted.Id advise on using a different company for your residential needs.
This company doesnt have a sense of what customer appreciation means. They have had to return several times to fix their OWN work and each time they come, they take our money with them. I run my own small business and even though it is not in the same industry, business fundamentals are business fundamentals. The customers are to be taken care of 101% and it should always be done right the first time. Klebs is far from being anything about the customer and doing things correctly initially. The workers that have come out have been nothing but helpful, although the water tanks in which they install are not. Its almost as if they knowingly install these crappy products just to come back and make more money off of you. I have asked question after question, although no honest answer comes from these guys. I will definitely never recommend this company to anyone in my lifetime and I hope by writing this review, many people will see it and look for a MUCH better company as well.
I love this place 😊
