My car had been making an odd noise, I took it to a random shop but they were really rude and didnt care to look into my issue. I then took it to this Pep Boys and Joseph actually cared to look into the noise that my car was making. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explained what was going on and fixed it the same day! I will definitely be coming back here for all my car services.

Great place because the worker get job done. The place will send you a message of the worker name and about time your car will be done. The work here is great that you may want to try it again. I went to get a new tier and they got me my new tier without any problem.

Andrew is a well spoken, knowledgable and thoughtful manager of any car shop I have been to! He is the best! I feel comfortable that he has my best intentions at heart. My car runs like new! His advice was great and he saved me money. They recognized every single detail down to my windshield wipers ( which I already knew where worn out!) unlike any other mechanic I have been to! Plus, I was accidentally running a bit late to pick up my car and he was sweet and understanding and did not make me feel guilty and even spent time with me to explain everything to me! I have a mechanic for my car as long as he is manager! Thank you Andrew for not making me afraid to go to the mechanic as a single woman! What a refreshing stress free experience!

This review is for store manager Joe Mendez. If I could give him more than five stars I would because he deserves it. Here is my story with him:I live in the Bay Area and last Friday my three teenage daughters drove to Disneyland for the weekend when their car broke down in the Disneyland parking lot in the early afternoon. Id had good experiences with Pep Boys up her so I cold called Joes store and spoke to him for the first time. I explained to him that this was an emergency and that I needed a point of contact to fix the car. I said I would handle the costs and that I did not want to ruin my daughters vacation by having them involved.Joe immediately took control of the situation and offered to have the car towed to his Anaheim store to do the work. He also offered to pay for Uber rides for my daughters to where they were staying in West Hollywood. I did take him up on the tow.By the time the car problem was diagnosed, it was too late to order the necessary parts so the work would have to be done that weekend. Joe again offered to Uber my daughters to the store that weekend but I declined.Too make a long story short, the car continued to have other issues that Pep Boys dealt with, including having to tow the car from the Grapevine to a Pep Boys up North where I met the driver. This ordeal was finally over.Throughout, Joe was in constant communication with me and I feel that he looked after my daughters as if they were his own during this emergency. I had complete trust in him and his decisions. Joe is a very capable and professional man, one who gets the job done correctly. He is also a very caring man who truly looks after others.When I first cold called Joe he was a complete stranger but after last weekend I got to know him pretty well. Went on Saturday. Needed help about my splash shield. Needed my tires pumped up in the front only. I did not make an appt. Did not know the name of that part at the time. $20 to zip tie the splash shield only if I bought 4 tires for $500. That is price gouging. I asked the Mgr. Vinh if I could make an appointment for another day. He said no. Just wait. I waited a long time. I felt under duress because that tire price point is too high for a 2003 Honda Civic. My back tires are okay. I am a Senior Citizen. I felt exploited. I left because I had another car related event. I dont believe that they were ever going to fix my car that day. I had gift cards worth $500. I have contacted Pepboys Corporate. My friends and I and others that have been exploited and price gouged by Pepboys will Boycott several Pepboys locations. It is all very quiet and civil. We will take our cars to other car repair locations that treat people fairly .BUYER BEWARE!!

The last time I took one of my cars in for an oil change, I went in for just the simple $20.00 conventional oil and filter change. After getting home, I decided to check my oil filter as it occurred to me I didnt seem to notice the change the oil filter. Upon checking the oil filter I learned it actually wasnt replaced and it was in fact the old one that had been on their prior to the change.At the time I decided not to make a fuss about it because I just copped it up to maybe they had just forgot to change it and that I would be more careful the next time.Today, I went into the establishment and asked for another regular oil change. While waiting for my oil change, I spoke to Kris who was the assistant manager at the location and asked him if it was a normal practice that oil filters were not changed and informed him of my last experience with pep boys. He said that it was weird that they wouldnt have changed the oil filter and advised me that the oil filters were to be changed every time.After they finished the oil change and handed me my keys I immediately popped the hood to double check if the oil filter had been changed. I noticed an undisturbed layer of dirt, soot, and grease and contacted Kris and showed it to him. He looked at it and didnt say anything, instead he walked over to the pile of discarded filters and motioned me over. He then found an oil filter that was used and said this is the same model as the one in your car and the one in the car was new.Having changed the oil in my own car a few times I was sure the oil filter had not been changed and told him Im not here to make trouble and I just wanted to have it done properly. He then walked over to Allen the mechanic who worked on my vehicle and they both confirmed that the oil filter was changed. Allen stated you can see that I initialed the filter and proceeded to use his phone to take a picture only capturing half of the filter showing an illegible scribble.At this point Ast. Manager Kris had become indifferent to my concern and was adamant the dirt seen on the filter was just from the dirt transferred form the mechanics hands. I decided not to push the issue any further due to Kris noticeably being irate.10 minutes later I got home and decided to check under myself to see the oil filter myself and found the filter had the dates 3/21/17 which just so happens to be one of the times I had my oil changed 6 months prior. I realized that Allen intentionally left that part of the picture obscured so that I wouldnt continue pressing the issue.I decided to contact Kris and tell him what I had discovered and told him about the date that had notated the last oil change. Kris did not address the issue of the date but instead just told me that it was in fact a new oil filter and it was only dirty because of the mechanics hands. When I again specifically asked him about the date and why it had 3/21/17 written and not todays date which was 9/27/17. Kris again stated the filter was changed, and that I could come in to check the video cameras if I wanted to and again assured me that it was only dirty because of the mechanic.The first time, I was able to let go due to giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they forgot. But today there was no excuse, it wasnt busy and there was no rush for them to skip such a simple step. Furthermore, all he had to do was fix the issue and let me be on my way, instead he insisted that I was wrong and that the filter was changed. If this filter causes damage to my car, I can promise they will have to do a lot more than replace my filter.Attached are the photos of the Initials the mechanic left. Notice how they scribbled out the old date in hopes that it became illegible.

Not friendly. We needed tires. After putting on tires they turned on windshield wipes to make sure they were working. It was not necessary. Told us it would take about 1 hour. Ended up being almost 4 hours. We were waiting for our car

I am very disappointed at how unethical this Pep Boys is. Seven months ago (5/5/19) I took my car in for an oil change. After the oil change, the service writer informed me that I needed to change my brakes and have the rotors resurfaced as well as new tires. I got a quote of $250 for the brakes but no quote for the tires. That seemed like a steep price so I decided to shop around and get a second quote.Well today, 7 months later, I finally had time to take my car for a second quote on the brakes and tires at a different tire shop. To my surprise, the service writer informed me that my brakes and tires were just fine and they still had plenty of life left so I walked out of that tire shop with peace of mind.Shame on Pep Boys for taking advantage of a young woman and telling her that her brakes and tires needed to be changed when CLEARLY 7 months later an amazingly ethical tire shop is telling me everything is fine with my car. For 7 months I drove around concerned for my safety when I had nothing to worry about to begin with had it not been for the gross misinformation given to me by the Pep Boys team.I do not recommend this tire shop unless you want to be lied to and taken advantage of.

Dont go there. Dont waste your time. They try to make money on you. I needed to repair a flat tire. The mechanic looked at my car, when it was parked outside and said he didnt see any nails or something in the tire and added that I need to replace the tires. The other place inspected the tire and found a nail and repaired it.

I only do the oil change. I personally think sometimes they take their sweat time. And also their prices are too high even with thier discounts.

Wife brought in Vehicle for simple tire plug. She was told it needed brake pads; they are completely worn and offered a great price. Following her instincts, she refused.I order some pads and prepare to do the brakes. I check and there is about 50 percent left on the pads. What a scam!

I went there about a week ago to get my tires changed and they gave me a really good deal on 4 new tires, and gave me an extra discount. Andrew was very helpful.

3 hours wait with an appointment for only an oil change and tire plug. Cant recommend due to extreme wait time.Made an appointment for 11am, arrived on time. They didnt seem have any knowledge of appointment and had to look it up on their computer. The guy at the desk was very friendly but I was told it would be a long wait, about 90 minutes. He said I would be before any walk-ins though. I told him I would wait nearby and walked to my gym in the same plaza. I came back 2 hours later to an empty waiting room but I still waited 1 more hour. Definitely didnt get helped before the walk-ins. Also selected a $10 off oil change coupon on the website when making the appointment which it said would be applied, but later saw on my receipt that it wasnt. I reached out to customer service on website but never heard from them.

The team here at Pep Boys is THE BEST! I am so grateful for them. Today, I started to drive my Honda Civic and I heard a metal piece dragging from my car. I knew it wasnt safe to drive so I took it into the nearest auto shop which happened to be the Pep Boys on Lincoln in the Anaheim town square (store #1455). I didnt have an appointment and I wasnt sure what was wrong with it, but they welcomed me in and reassured me that they could resolve the issue. They were able to identify the problem and fix my car on the spot. I didnt wait long at all and I enjoyed the company of the sweet receptionist and the knowledgable manager who still engaged in conversation with me and another customer despite taking phone call after phone call. You dont always get that human interaction at auto shops, and I genuinely appreciate that as I work in the hospitality field. I cannot thank you guys enough! I would highly recommend Pep Boys in Anaheim! Excellent customer service and excellent work. What more can you ask for?! Check them out for yourself and youll see what Im talking about! Thank you guys SO SO much! Ill be back :)

Very disappointed i will never go to another pep boys after today. They should be ashamed of themselves and i will be giving there corporate office a call as well. My grandmother went in to there store today to get her ac charged, but walked out with a $1,996.62 estimate unbelievable because she was elderly and a women in there store by herself this pepboys took the opportunity to take advantage of her. After she placed a call to my cousin who is a mechanic and let the mechanic tell him what was wrong the mechanic at pep boys told her if we do the work for you i will give you 50% off NOT TODAY BUDDY YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF WHAT IF THAT WAS YOUR MOM OR GRANDMA.

This store has a New manager (35) years of experience in the industry and what a difference. I came in for new tires for my truck and got great service. They really take care of your needs and do not try and stick you with things you do not need. Service was fast and friendly.

My car was having issues where it had trouble starting, the engine idle was very loud compared to normal, and giving it gas just did not accelerate it fast enough. I had just changed the battery with CostCo so I had no idea what was going on. Andrew (mechanic) took a look at it, and immediately pinned it down to my alternator which needed replacing and that kept sucking the life of my battery. He provided such a great customer service! He provided Lyft service for me to go home until my car was serviced. He ensured I got the best parts replaced (quality, to keep it running better, longer). I am SO glad I came here, and cant recommend it highly enough after this experience!

My husband and i will never got to pep boys ever again this was the worst experience ever. I would give them no stars im sitting in their parking lotand they made us wait 4 hours....then after that they tryed to rip us off on a part that only cost 150 they wanna charge 375 cause the work and the part are supose to be covered under warranty now they wont fix it with out charging us more on top of the warranty by 400 they wont be getting any customers sent by us we will be sending everyone to big o tires down the street

These guys have really taken care of me through a less-than-ideal used car situation. Allen and Ignacio in particular have gone above and beyond in finding and fixing problems and keeping me updated along the way. They also helped me out with towing and getting a ride while my car was in the shop. I will definitely take my car here for oil changes and routine maintenance.

Al helped me out with new tires and shocks. Got me a good price, a little high but once I had a problem I took it back and they fixed it for me.

Staff is trash and they are hurting so they try and over charge you for service.

They fixed our flat tire and unbent our backing shield after our failed attempt at changing the tire ourselves and having the car fall off the jack. They did it all for free on the 114 degree day. These guys are great!

I worked for Pep Boys and im fully familiar with their inside problems...but for tires..Pep Boys is the best...im an automotive professional...they rotate tires for free and offer an extended warranty on tires for relatively nothing...ask for it...

Set a appointment told me I have to wait for their cars to drop off my car horrible, come to find out the car i had took 2 days before that they messed up and didnt screw on my oil filter.. pathetic

My battery died and my alarm system had reset and the kill switch was busted and these guys were basically one of the only shops open after 6p. They couldnt fix it right away, the price out the door wasnt the best in the industry after parts and labor, but let me tell you why Im going to go back anyway.The store manager and his techs saw that I had a problem. They already had a full plate but they wanted to solve it. They made suggestions, they pushed for testing because they refused to charge me if they couldnt fix the problem. I made a couple of calls and with a little bit of elbow grease and a lot of prayer, my bucket was working again.I dont need a mechanic thats an expert and wants to fleece me for everything they can. Id rather have a mechanic that puts an emphasis on getting the job done and fleecing me for what they have to. I havent met a mechanic that can provide it all, but at least these guys can put forward honesty and effort, traits sorely lacking in the industry.

Came to get an oil service. The price was a little high but fine lets go with it, why not. The very next day I had massive oil puddles forming underneath my car. So I decided to come back to have them fix the leak at least but to my surprise management claims it wasnt their fault. How they had the audacity to do that is beyond me. A perfectly maintained car with no previous leaks preserive and now its my fault the leak happened after they changed the oil. Good riddens to this horrible place.

The employee that helped me acted like I was bothering him, and was not helpful at all My Aunts battery died so after I got a jump, I drove to this Pep Boys, since it is right around the corner from her house. After standing at the counter and being ignored, I was finally asked what do you need not, May I help you or How may we assist you, it was what do you need Before I could answer, the phone rang and the employee answered it, cutting me off in mid sentence. When he finally got off the phone, and I explained my situation, he told me they didnt have the type of battery I needed in stock and suggested I try another store. I told him Im not driving all over town with a battery thats almost dead. He said they could order the battery, but it might take awhile to get it in. I said ok, and he told me they would call me when the battery arrived. Of course he never called. Bottom line, I will never visit this location again. Horrible customer service and employees with bad attitudes makes for a lousy experience. Avoid this store at all costs.
