I needed to find a tracking number for one of my packages I sent and the clerks were incredibly helpful!
Great staff, patient & helpful - thank you!
I had a problem with a delivery and called the office and talked to Jim. He was courteous and called me back after fixing my problem. In general the current staff at the office tend to be efficient and helpful and our regular mailman is excellent.
Always helpful.
Even though the lines a few times are long, the staff are very efficient and friendly. I dont the problems of the people who rated this below 5 but I have lived here for 20 years and this post office is great and a pleasure to have in our Community
Thanks to the Anacortes post office for a perishable delivery in a very timely manner. Ive been waiting for something coming over from Eastern Washington from a bakery. Online it said it wouldnt get to me until the 24th, 2 days after it shipped. To my amazement it was delivered on the 23rd in the morning. The box had seen better shape but the contents inside were just wonderful! This made my Christmas! Thank you very much!
Consistent issues with deliveries. Post Master should be fired for his attitude and poor management of a small town post office. Embarrassing to say the least.
Ive been shipping packages weekly through the Anacortes post office for about a year and I have yet to have a problem. Staff is always kind and helpful. During busy times there might be a line, but they do their best to get everyone taken care of. My suggestion is to go during the day, 10-11 a.m. seems to work well for me.
Ive lived in quite a few towns and cities, in various states across our country, and I think this is the most efficient Post Office I have ever been in. The staff are always helpful, cheerful, and hard at work.
Staff is hard working and efficient. I think they do a great job considering how busy they are. A key part of Anacortes.
I went in to the Anacortes branch to set up a po box. I was told that it was a one time payment unless I opted for auto renewal. I did not want renewal as I was moving out of state. 3 months later and the Post office has posted another payment. I called to ask why and was told call your bank and tell them to stop payment, we cant help. She told me that I signed the papers agreeing to Auto renewal. I shouldve actually read the agreement but instead I trusted the postal worker that helped me when she said it would cancel at the end of the term. Be warned when dealing with the Post office in Anacortes Washington.
Understaffed office, long lines (out the door and across the building at Christmas time), one clerk regularly berated one of my young co-workers because some senders sometimes leave the P.O. box number off our business address (business is 125 years old and right across the street from the post office), another gets annoyed if you ask for interesting stamps for a letter overseas. When an elderly, reclusive woman I know died in her bathroom a few years ago (on 12th Street), the mail carrier apparently never gave a second thought as mail and newspapers and notices from utilities piled up out front -- for FOUR weeks. These behaviors particularly stand out in a caring community like Anacortes.
THE POST MASTER AT THE ANACORTES LOCATION IS VERY RUDE. I SHIPPED AN INTERNATIONAL PACKAGE ON 6/15/17, AND TRACKING SAYS IT IS STILL AT THE ANACORTES LOCATION. I WENT IN TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON AFTER CALLING AND NOT GETTING A RETURN CALL, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO DO A MANUAL SEARCH FOR THE PACKAGE. WHEN I ASKED HOW LONG THIS SHOULD TAKE, I WAS TOLD WELL HAVE YOU SEEN OUR BACK ROOM?WHY NO I HAVE NOT, BUT IT SHOULD NOT TAKE AND ADDITION TWO WEEKS TO SEARCH SAID ROOM AND STILL NOT GET BACK TO ME. WHEN I WAS ABLE TO TALK TO THE POST MASTER AGAIN, HE SAYS TO ME, I TOLD YOU I WOULD CALL YOU BACK WHEN I KNOW SOMETHING WHEN I ASK HOW LONG THIS MIGHT BE I WAS TOLD A DAY OR TWO, MAYBE A WEEK. HE ALSO TOLD ME I WOULDNT WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE TO FIND OUT WHERE THE PACKAGE ACTUALLY IS. IT HAS NOW BEEN OVER A WEEK, AND STILL NOTHING. I CANT EVEN GET ANYONE TO ANSWER A CALL. MESSAGE KEEPS SAYING TO CALL BACK DURING BUSINESS HOURS. ITS VERY FRUSTRATING WHEN I HAVE A CUSTOMER WAITING ON PARTS, AND THE POST OFFICE IS NOT WILLING TO HELP GET THE ISSUE RESOLVED, AND BECAUSE IT IS AN INTERNATIONAL PACKAGE, THEY HAVE 90 DAYS TO DEAL WITH THE CLAIM.
Fast, freindly and efficient. They do a great job moving the mail and providing an essential service to the community.
Every other time the few employees here have been friendly and helpful, although when I go, there is usually a long, slow line. This one time I was running late and was overjoyed when the doors were still open at 502pm! There was still one customer at the desk finishing up. But a female postal worker in the lobby hollered over to me, Maam were clo-osed, with a definite tone of finality. I begged. Sorry Im late but pleease, let me send this out, its for my daughters birthday. Im sorry, maam. (It really didnt sound like it) Please just this once? I asked. No luck. She wouldnt budge. We could have been half through sending my ready-to-go, flat rate box. The other customer was still there. So sad. My fault for being late but its a small town, I hoped for a helping hand.
I dont go to the post office often, but every time Ive gone to this one the staff is particularly rude and short with me. Its a shame.
Never an issue, and whoa Jim chill out....... You sound like you have more problems than the post office with that rant lol. No need to take it out on them...
Anacortes, WA USPS only... I like all the other USPS offices, so far.Package sent: Priority Flat Rate Medium Box, Insured (thank heaven)Tracking shows it was delivered, yet the recipient didnt receive it.Calling the main USPS number (took forever to get a human), I was told it is scanned as delivered, and given the number to the Anacortes office. After a few calls to them, I was told the carrier says he remembers putting it on the porch, in full view of the apartments across the way.I will go to Fedex next time.
Our company sent a package to an address in Anacortes, which had not reached its destination. I called Anacortes Post Office number and quickly was talking to Ms. Maynard. We had a great exchange of the on-line reports that said the package was delivered, but the customer reported they had not received the packages. The next day the customer emailed us to say they have received their packages. Thank you for you excellent job Ms. Maynard. Darlene Berges, Planetwork Press LLC.
I have never had such a hard time sending and receiving mail/ and packages until i moved to Anacortes. The staff is rude and very un-professional. Its hard to believe they get payed to NOT do their job.
Very nice building very friendly staff
Ditto this branch returns mail to sender as not deliverable.]they also ndo not answer thier phone
This branch keeps screwing up my mail delivery. Many letters returned to sender. I filed a formal complaint and that did not work.
