Just canceled my membership because staff are blatantly not masking despite state mandate. I checked with the WA State Dept of Health, and people in the act of exercising like athletes in practice or competition are exempt, so members can get by without wearing one while using equipment, but should otherwise be masked. And all working staff should be masked. At least they canceled my membership easily by email, and confirmed no other fees.
Clean gym with sufficient equipment, friendly staff but poor customer service. My wife and I were gym members for over three years. We recently moved from the area and subsequently closed our accounts.Upon closing my account, I realized I had been billed while my account was supposed to be frozen. It took over 2 weeks with multiple correspondences to have it refunded. I also noticed that I was charged an annual maintenance fee only 2 days before I closed my account. In fairness, I requested to have the fee refunded because but the request was denied. Being charged an annual fee - one without any notice - for a membership length of two days is absurd. This gym has always seemed to be very revenue focused but needless to say when I return to the area they will not be seeing us as customers again.
Fun, friendly staff... super clean... amazing amenities. 24 hour access, free weights, functional space, weight machines, group fitness, spin studio, tons of cardio options, saunas, massage, kids room, tanning bed and the Eat The Frog Fitness training is next level. Similar fitness centers in other areas would charge twice as much for memberships. Oh and memberships are month to month... no long term contracts! Its Rad!
Great gym. Great staff and locally owned!
Im so sad to no longer go here. Unfortunately I was injured under the instruction of a trainer. I saw 2 Physical therapists, and visited an orthopedic surgeon. I experienced pain for a long time as my injury was a difficult one to heal. My SI joint was sprained stretching one of my ligaments. I am a mother to a 3 year old and an RN student. The gym didnt compensate me at all or even give me a refund for my training sessions. I spent 1000s to fix this injury. It is so unfortunate when a business is unable to act with dignity.
Love everything about working out here. Amazing staff and very clean.
Thrive is the best! I love the membership that includes the coaching. It helps alot!
I love coming to Thrive Community Fitness! Their staff is friendly, always welcoming with a smile and their facility is very clean. Cant wait to get back on track and into a routine.5 🌟
I want to say a huge thank you to Justin for his response and solutionto our membership refund. We had gone around in circles with theprevious owners and management with no positive outcome.Justin came in and said It makes common sense to refund thiscustomers unused membership and make them a happy customerHe did what he promised, a true stand up guy!We need more Justins in this world. Thank you!
I had been away for a while and was greeted with own arms when I came back. Not only very professional but also very helpful and motivating!!! Best ETF coaches......big shout out to Mary Beth and Sandi
Ive been going to Thrive for years and have never had any issues. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and there is a great variety of equipment. The only complaint Ive had is that it does get very busy during peak hours, but what can you expect when it has become the only gym in town?! They do a great job of keeping it clean, and if youre able to go after hours the crowd is a lot smaller.
I love this place! Has provided me with many friends, fun, and awesome exercises. I love the classes, and the staff is always so helpful. This is such a great place to be a part of.
One the things that attracted me to Thrive is the -family-like atmosphere. The staff is amazing and always eager to help when needed. My happy place
Thrive Anacortes is an excellent place to get in shape and to socialize with other health focused people. Clean facility with sauna, childcare, group fitness classes, and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Joined about 2yrs ago. Reasonable price. Good equipment. I have never been unable to have a treadmill or bike available for a aerobic workout. Staff are all very pleasant. Some members are a little negligent in wiping down the equipment no matter what the cleaner is and maybe a few posters reminding everyone to do this might help as there are always lots of cleanser bottles around. I do wonder about the strength of the cleanser as it seems to have no smell at all at times, leading me to believe it might be diluted too much. The body flow class is great but on some days there are so many members in attendance that you are constantly bumping in to each other. I do not mind the bring your own towel policy as I imagine quite a few people took them home and the cost to maintain and clean these is probably pretty high. I much rather prefer to bring a soft washcloth from home with me.
I started coming to Thrive in November 2014. I really liked how reasonable the membership was and the fact that I could attend classes at the gym for an extra ten dollars seemed like a great deal! I love how enthusiastic the instructors are and that they have such a variety of classes that I can go to. Every time I walked in the door someone would smile and check me in, it made me feel like I was a part of some sort of family. Because of my positive experience as a member, I decided to see if they were hiring part time. I am glad to be starting as a part of their team now.
The best gym here in Anacortes!Great staff!New treadmills are AWESOME!Thanks to the management!
Thrive in Anacortes is definitely my favorite gym ever. Its clean, very well-equipped and well-designed. Even when there are a lot of cars in the parking lot Ive always been able to use the machines I like. without waiting. The staff are all really nice, knowledgeable & helpful, They offer a lot of classes with excellent instructors. Ive consistently noticed that other patrons are focused yet considerate. The prices are reasonable - particularly their specials - and hours are long to accommodate a variety of schedules. I rarely write a review but feel compelled to compliment and recommend Thrive gym.
Amazing community-centered family atmosphere. Classes, instructors, trainers and front desk staff are all incredible.
The gym was previously open until 10pm on week nights and later on the weekends. When the 24 hour membership was introduced this changed to the hours as they are now. The gym its self is good. The free weight section in whole is limited, but sufficient. Gym membership is fairly priced.
Better equipment than Oak Harbor center, which is antiquated. Main problem is its filled with old guys who think they run the place. They sit at the machines between sets.
Body Flow and Yoga classes are outstanding.
Ive had a membership with Thrive in Anacortes since 2012 and I was extremely satisfied with the membership until the gym went under new management around a year and a half ago. The cleaner for the machines was changed from a clean smelling spray to vinegar, which smells badly and I notice less people are inclined to use it because of that. The hours that the gym is open have decreased drastically, but theres a 24 hour access option thats more expensive. They also no longer offer laundered towels that you can take before you work out and then put in the laundry basket after youve used it for your work out. Overall, the equipment is sufficient, but the free weight section could be more varied ideally.
Gets the job done. The staff is decent and reasonable. Its just so packed from Monday To Friday 3pm to 7pm, especially when you hit the weights. Overcrowded gyms where you have to wait for equipment is understandable but not optimal. Its cheap 20$-50$ a month is decent. Just expect a little surprise fee every once in a while, aka, maintenance fee. 3/5
They no longer honor Silver Sneakers!! Why?? I stopped in to ask.Silver Sneakers is a benefit of my health insurance so it does not cost me anything extra. Thrive wants $19.95 (special offer to Silver Sneakers people they cut off). They say Silver Sneakers only pays us $6 per month. They will get $0 from me now. If the gym was full of customers, I could understand but it is not.
I appreciate having this gym in town and the wonderful staff that work at it. There are showers, a tanning bed, childcare, teen room, saunas, classes, smoothie bar, 24 hr access, and trainers available. I have been a member on and off for over 10 years... I wouldnt go anywhere else!
My all around good quality of health & fitness at near age of 75 is largely due to my 6-7 days a week workouts at the anacortes thrive & fitness over the last 10 years
Thrive is a place that I have to be accountable for becoming more than anything I have been in my time yet as I do i am finding it a blessing to get the privladge to be able to get something to create the goals within myself aswell as the person that I am not familiar with that im starting to see and appreciate the way it really is throughout this gym the staff is very aware of the different types of people who are here for safe and healthy lifestyle choices that are part of who we are mk no differences in the way you can be sure that it is going to be a positive influence and Im not goin anywhere without feeling better than I have prior to the gym and I have enjoyed everything from free weights to Treds and machines that have no issues with my using and with great condition and outcome but there is one REAL problem with the gym ... I have a hard time finding a better place to be !!!
Good but the prices are kind of high went to thrive comm. Fitness in maryville and it was less than 10 dollars a month
Love this gym!
Very few there...clean...
Everyone is friendly they take the extra mile to help u out! Love it!
