Overall didnt have a horrible experience but not a good one with Ez properties. I felt as though they nickel and dimed me for everything they could think of. The carpet cleaning charge is outrageous for two tiny rooms. Also I was told they were renovating my unit to all hardwood after I left so not sure why I still got an outrageous charge. Upon moving out I did feel they overcharged me for turnover repairs where there was no explanation on what the charges were for other than parts, labor, and supplies. I made sure to leave the unit in better condition than when I moved in; because I wanted to get my whole deposit back. Clearly thats not possible. I was staying on Hayward ave where their main office is at and the place was built very cheaply in terms of quality, and the walls are paper thin. I wouldnt stay with Ez properties again.

Excellent communication through signs, emails, phone calls, and text messages. Everyone was very polite and helpful when answering questions. Maintenance requests were filled promptly and accommodating for variable schedules. Snow was similarly cleared promptly. Rent, work orders, etc. were easily done online.

The nicest and efficient property managers I ever had to deal with. Special thanks to Mark and Nicole for making our living arrangements comfortable. The team helped us starting from finding a place to moving in, at one of their many properties that met our requirements. Application, signing the lease and paying rent is hassle free, thanks to their streamlined online process. Maintenance requests are also addressed promptly. Thanks again to the entire EZ properties team for working with us and being flexible.Our 2 Beds apartment on 515 S 4th St came with a functional kitchen (microwave and dishwasher), led lights, and windows with ample sunlight. Coin operated laundry room in the building is clean. The properties and parking spaces are well maintained. The apartment is right next to the bus stop, east Hyvee and walking distance from several other grocery stores & downtown. Our neighbors are friendly and quiet as well. Due to the pandemic we mostly work from home and we enjoy calling this quiet place our office and home.

My apartment buildings were bought out by ez properties 6 months into my twelve month lease. Every week there were new passive aggressive notes from management that came across as hostile, notes about parking and laundry room etiquette that read as though they were dealing with a dorm, and not a multi family 25-70 median age apartment building. In sixth months I had to let in ez properties more then 6 times for work, twice having to shuffle around everything in my unit to allow access to install Internet and other upgrades. Upgrades to our building never ceased and I would be woken early morning everyday for their maintenance. They came in to change our door locks and left every unit open unlocked and unsupervised meaning anyone in my building could have come into my apartment and no questions would have been asked. Our building had had break in issues in the past and when I stated my concerns management acted very flippant about the whole thing. Now that I have finally received my deposit back more then a month later, they have taken money out for carpet cleaning that didnt exist in my contract, and a key replacement fee which I cannot explain, as I returned all the keys I had upon moving in, and the multitude of keys they gave me when they took control. All in all I would be incredibly weary of renting from them.

I rented from ez for 2.5 years. The staff was always professional and courteous to me. If I had an issue and I filled out a maintenance request at 2 am, they always replied back by 10 am with a plan to help. One morning they texted everyone about a water heater going bad and the need to kill the water at 5 am. The water heater was right above my apartment and water was leaking into my entrance. Within an hour they were checking my apartment and once the upstairs apartment was replaced, they came and did everything to clean my carpets. I am thankful for the time I spent at an ez properties apartment!

I enjoyed living with them, they seem very trustworthy, they will work with you if you have an issue with anything regarding your property.

Moved into a dirty apartment, then was charged for cleaning upon move out after we had cleaned it. Charged for painting when the apartment was not painted prior to move in. Would not recommend if you want any deposit back.

I’ve lived in their properties for the past 2 years and I have found them to be professional, reasonable, and punctual to work with.
