I took my taxes to Knapp Bookkeeping the first week of April and called numerous times to check on the status of our return. the answer was always “we’reworking on it”. Finally, on June 16th, I got a text message saying they were “trying to contact me”, even though I gave themmy phone number every time I called and have their number in my contacts list so it isn’t blocked by my robokiller.I got the name of this company on Dave Ramsey’s Endorsed Local Provider list. Ten weeks is a ridiculous amount of time to get taxes done.My accountant that I used formany years moved out of state andcharged half of the amount Knapp charges. I could have walked to Alabama (where my formeraccountant moved) and gotten my taxes taken care of a lot quicker.Any recommendations for a good, honest accountant that won’t charge an arm and a leg will be greatly appreciated!
This afternoon I was doing my laundry at Brocks 2 off of 1400 S. Washington, and the supposed owner was there- an older Asian female. She told the older Hispanic female attendant to badger me about not wearing a mask. During this time the badgering lasted for about 5 minutes. The attendant was very unprofessional, and I wasnt the only one in the facility- nor was I the only one not wearing a mask. The attendant accused me of ignoring the sign outside of the establishment about not being allowed inside without wearing a mask. I went outside and there is no sign, and never has been during quarantine time. There is also no sign posted inside the facility about wearing a mask inside the facility during quarantine. I came back inside, told her there was no sign, then told her that when I was done I wouldnt be back. The attendant and the manager continued to argue with me, yet did not get on to any other laundry goer that werent wearing masks. This next argument lasted for about 3 minutes, and then I went outside and called Amarillo Communications, explained the situation, and the arguing stopped as soon as the next arriving attendant told the owner what I was doing. The oncoming attendant was the older attendants daughter. I wanted an officer to go to the place to explain the rules of quarantine to the owner so that the badgering would stop. Amarillo Communications said they wouldnt send a cop to the location because a crime hadnt happened, and that the owner was allowed to act in that way because they had a right to refuse service to any customer. After I hung up the phone I asked how I could make a complaint against the owner, and the older attendant said there wasnt a way because no one was above her boss. She said the older Asian female owned 3 of the Brocks laundry mats. The owner then got on to me about how I was doing my laundry, even though Ive gone to that laundry mat for years and have done my laundry the same way. I will not go back to this business, and they had no right to argue with me and make me feel uncomfortable while I was forced to be there waiting on my laundry to be done- especially after I told them a few times that I would not go back to that laundry mat. The oncoming attendant then offered me a mask, which was in an open bag that other staff had gone through- that means the masks are contaminated. After the owner left there were no more arguments, no one besides me was pounced on, and I will tell everyone not to go to any of the Brocks laundry mats. The older attendant lightened up and didnt have good things to say about the owner. The younger attendant apologized for what happened, but didnt have anything good to say about the owner either.
Unprofessional organization. About a year ago I had an interview there. With a lady named Janna. I was very professional. I showed up on time. I brought a printed out resume And a presentation. After the interview she told me that she was going to call a reference but I told her I would not give her permission to call that reference that I would submit my own references. she went ahead and called her reference that I did not give her permission to call. She never return my calls or my emails. She’s not very honest. Very unprofessional and a messy desk. This place is a joke. And the fat guy at the front desk eats breakfast right in front of his customers. This whole organization is a joke and has no direction. It is beyond me how these people have jobs and actually getting paid.
The BBB helped me resolve an issue with a company that was generated by a scam operation that I was led into by doing a Google search. I had given up all hope of getting my money back. But with the help of the BBB, the company took mercy on me and refunded or replaced my money. I am now very happy camper, so to speak.I hope we all realize that the BBB needs our financial support. I have sent them money in the past and will continue to do so. They are extremely professional, and they never give up when serving people. They are a most extraordinary institution, with helpers all over the country.

BBB is an amazing tool. I had been fighting with a company for a breach in contract for 2 weeks. The customer service representatives were rude & discourteous. I filed a complaint through BBB & had a phone call from an executive of the company in less than 24 hours. She was amazing, and resolved the issue in a matter of minutes. I really had no idea that BBB was so influential. Thank you BBB! I have a new found respect for you!
Excel Construction Group: They are dishonest, trying to represent a company without authorization. They pressure people to process an insurance claim using mold and health reasons to file the claim. They contact your insurance company without asking you. Bad business all the way around. It took me two weeks to undo what they had started late on a Saturday evening. Watch out for them.
They were very helpful and did have a vast knowledge of the scams into todays world. Some of the most helpful staff I have met in Amarillo and very patient with alll my questions and concerns
I just started with a great company and one of my clients was getting phone calls so I told her I would find someone who would take care of it so I was informed to call BBB and let me tell yall Angel from the BBB was so sweet she she gave me the information I needed to help my client my client was so pleased and I want to thank u 😇 for helping me help my client God Bless You
As a business owner I can tell you this non-profit has no business educating the consumers on companies in our area. They are very unorganized and just flat out dumb. Thank goodness we now can rate the company that should not be rating ANYONE!!
