My boyfriend was driving from LA to OH to see me. He called me at 12% battery to let me know he his bike stalled on Route 66, he had no internet and could only reach out me. It was 1am (3am for me and I had just landed from a flight) in the morning and I called several tow trucks but NONE was helpful until I contacted Ricky Towing. I called another tow company prior to reaching Ricky Tow and the lady was so rude and told me to call somewhere else. I then called Ricky Tow and was greeted pleasantly by Samantha who went above and beyond to help us both. She stayed with me throughout the whole 4 hour process (all trucks were out 😩). Her level of care and concern was amazing. She was on top of things and her communication was rapid. Samantha thank you for helping us, we need more people like you in customer service.

I’ve used Ricky’s towing for many years. I’ve used them twice this month for my sons pickup. This time I didn’t have the keys. Michael was amazing. He took such care in getting the vehicle on and off the trailer. It was very impressive to watch! Thanks again! Pam Rushing

The response time was good especially with the weather conditions. Only frustrating thing was I told them I needed a jump on a F350 and they send a small car with a hand held 1000w jump pack. F350’s have 2 batteries. But he did redeem himself by getting a tow truck there really quickly. If it weren’t for the kid knowingly bringing a small jump pack for a diesel they would get 5 stars. The dispatcher and both drivers were kind and courteous.

Office staff is outstanding but drivers and management leave something to be desired. One driver in particular doesn’t care about the cleanliness of his truck and it stinks like cigarette smoke. Quite a shame since the truck looks brand new.

The office staff was rude to my Son. Who clearly just wrecked his car, and proceeded proceeded to say they just let the owner of the car get in the wrecking yard when he (My Son) has the title and has owned the vehicle for almost a year. Now they want $25 entrance fee to get to the car that he owns to see if we pay them to crush it or fix it????

The office was very professional and reassuring. They gave me an approximate time and met that estimated schedule. The driver, Andrew, was polite, professional in all our dealings and even helped me climb up into the tow truck. His truck was clean and tidy. He went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my comfort in a very stressful time. Will absolutely use them again should the need arise.

This is got to be the worst towing company I have ever dealt with. A few years back when they were starting out they were really good, I used them several times. But now that they have grown, they want to up charge you for everything. I m with AAA and this is who they use but they always come up with something to up charge you. I’ve turned them down twice because they wanted to charge me an extra $100 on top of what triple A pays them. The first time they said because of weather and the second because supposedly they needed special equipment. I guess thebigger they get the greedier they get. I called another company that charged me $65 total both times. I also told triple A that unless they get a different provider I will be looking for a different road assistance company.

Called after was run into by another vehicle. Found out later that four other towing companies would charge between $57 to $100. Rickys charged $300.15. Other 4 companies were given exact same directions, etc. When called them to get an explanation they got nasty and when we said wed complain to insurance company and attorneys the receptionist, good luck with that! Taking advantage of an bad situation is totally unacceptable. DO NOT USE company ! Uses anybody else. Only gave 1 star so it would give my review or would have given none due to rude receptionist!

You know when you are having to have your vehicle towed, its not a good thing! But at least Rickys Towing made it easy for us and took care of business. Fast and friendly drivers and office staff!

I had a very good experience with Rickys Tow Service.. the lady that I first spoke with was friendly and kind and my driver was very good and friendly as well.

They came to get my friend and I out, 2 cars.... then they got stuck in my yard for 3 hours and when another way larger tow truck came to get the original tow truck out of my yard.... both tow trucks drove away and left my friend and I to figure out our own cars.... and I had 2 small children with me.... we were out there 14 hours before I finally got us out of the mud.

This is my to go to towing company theyve always move my vehicles for me with no problem at a good price also.

Not willing to listen or help at all.. I tried to resolve a simple problem I had with my receipt. I needed a original copy for my insurance. The lady at the counter was rude on the phone, and in person. She Was not willing to do anything to help.she didn’t know how to appropriately resolve my issue wouldn’t let me talk to anyone else either. I do not recommend this company they don’t know customer service. They rob you blind with high rates an then won’t even budge to help you with a simple request of giving me an actual receipt.

My car died out of town on our way from Florida to Colorado and Ricky’s was there to help. Josh was our driver and he was very professional and helpful. We had our dog and needed a ride to a hotel and he was more than accommodating. My wallet fell out in my vehicle on top of everything else that could go wrong and Josh was right there to bring it to me. Thank you for making a terrible situation a little less terrible. You guys are awesome.

Trustworthy and dependable

Terrible customer service. My vehicle broke down in Texas traveling to Montana and it was 30 degrees outside in the middle of a lightningstorm so I hitched a ride in to Amarillo and they refused to pick the car up unless I drove 150 back to the vehicle to be there when they picked it up. It may be their “policy” but they have no concern for what situation you may be in to service customers. Not to mention the service desk lady Jesennia has been the rudest stuck up person I have not had the pleasure of speaking to in the state of texas. Look elsewhere for tow services

These people are absolutely top notch the young man came out to my home on a sunday morning to put air in my moms tire because due to weather the tire pressure got low and she had to get to work that evening and the young man was really respectful and kind and treated me with the utmost respect. and he did not just check one tire he checked all 4 to make sure that everything was in tip top shape. the young man dustin even called when he was 5-10 minutes from our location and i am glad that he did that because i did not half to wait in the cold for him and when i came out the door there he was.

Passing through and broke down, they came right out picked up our vehicle and stored in for us until we could come back to pick it up. Quick on getting to us, took good care of our truck, easy to work with

Great company. Always on time and they try their hardest to make sure they understand whats going on. When I locked my keys in my car they were there quick and the driver called me personally to make sure of where I was and to let me know he was on his way.

Calles last night, 95 miles outside Amarillo, in side New Mexico, was told they had to get a permit and couldnt get one that late. Lady acted as though she didnt care and wanted to get off the phone with me because she had better things to do. Gave me no recommendations and hung up. Called T-Miller, they were there in 90 minutes and the most professional people I have ever dealt with! Will never use Rickys towing!!!! T-MILLER IS THE BEST, CALL THEM!!!!!!!

Called to have my parents Chevy suburban towed to our home after a busted ball joint left it stranded. Within an extremely professional timeframe, We were greeted by 23-year-old Dustin. During this time of uncertainty, Rickys is doing their part by towing legally parked vehicles from apartments. Two times they have towed a vehicle they had to return with no charge due to towing illegally. Great job, Rickys! Ill be doing business with ethical companies.I would like to edit this review to add that the owner responded that the problem isnt with Rickys but with unclear parking enforcement in neighborhoods. In other words, they will not err on the side of the customer, but on the side of profit.

Not professional at all. Over charges! They take for ever to return your vehicle, but real quick to to make a buck. The signs posted are not very visible and all bb shot up. It would be nice to have visible wording.

I called around and Rickys Towing gave me great advice over the phone and were the most affordable towing my daughters car all the way! They arrived when they said they would and took great care of my daughter and her car! Absolutely excellent customer service and honest and professional.

Called for service ..I showed up waited for work they could not do..He had me go to another family members business..asked for price quotes the owner kept going around the question...after doing only half the required work he wanted to rank up the price 3 times the amount from his competitors normally charge(I went to his shop it was not road service for him to want to charge those ridiculous rates) To this date he has failed to respond and give me my receipts. Very unprofessional business.

I had a good experience with Rickys Towing. My tow truck operator was Darryl P. Nice fella was quick and honest. Although late due to a morning meeting, still showed up did his job professionally and got me to Shorty Bears quick. I would recommend this operator to pick up your vehicle if you had a bad run in with this company, try this guy out, he will change your mind.

Miscommunication

We waited for almost three hours for the tow. I understand being busy but the lady answering the phones was very short with me multiple times. Then the driver did no give us a receipt. I had to call and was expected to drive to pick it up when the driver had just left. Made arrangements for them to email me the receipt and still have not gotten it. I would not recommend them.

Excellent service. Once I made a request for a tow truck, they arrived within 15 min. Professional staff, easy process, happy with service.And again, Rickys towing came to save me. They were prompt, knowledgeable, effiecient. Hayden was professional and quick to get my issue fixed. Rickys towing is my go to. It should be yours too!

I would give them less than 1 star if I could. He blew by me doing at least 65mph down Hillside with my vehicle on the back of his truck. He then blew the red light at Hillside and Coulter because he was already going to damn fast to stop. DO NOT USE them if you can avoid it.

My insurance companys road side assistance sent them my way.When they delivered my truck, the driver backed into my tree. With my truck on the rig. Driver offered insurance card and his drivers license. Said they had insurance to cover this sort of thing. After two weeks, my insurance company advised that they dont have coverage. Rickys insurance company said the same thing.Ricky called after several attempts to contact him. He was rude, cursed me out, called me stupid, said I was an idiot.He wanted to come over to my residence. I gave home the address. Offered him to come right now (He is only 45 minutes away from me.) He backed down.A man is only as good as his word. There you have it.

Where do i start...... horrible service and they steal out of your vehicle.. i was warned about the theft before.. and they are justrude rude rude. Make you get papers notarized to get in a wrecked vehicle

I would rather be stranded on the side of a deserted road for 65 days than let this towing company touch my vehicle again. The employee they sent cracked the hardtop on my 3 month old jeep. And so called owner Ricky Cantu handled the damages completely immaturely. I mean, I had to go through insurance to have him take any steps to making the situation right. Instead of using the estimates sent by 2 different jeep dealerships, he took it upon himself to take the cheap route and order the part himself. Needless to say, the one he ordered was the wrong peice and Im stuck with a damaged hard top on a 2017 vehicle. My best advice if you do need to do business with this man, is dont.

Stole my brand new ray bans and refused to take responsibility. Yelled at me on the phone that if I give them a bad review for stealing and denial that they would sue me for slander. There is a reason they are the worst rated towing company in Amarillo.I am re-reading this review from a couple of years ago, and wanted to add that not one pair of ray bans was stolen from my car, but two. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

They do shady business and will always tow you for a quick buck, regardless if they cut corners to screw you. They continually work under contracts that find loop holes within the law. That is why the contact with the city! 😏

The guy that came to help me change my tire, lost one of the Lug nuts to my car. It wouldnt have been that big of a deal but he lost a locking lug nut that keeps my car tire secure.( only my manufacture can replace it)This man also brought his girlfriend who was dressed so trashy(spaghetti strap shirt with no bra), disgusting. (Very unprofessional)My mom and I were so uncomfortable the whole time.Called ricks to get my money back or get them to pay for the lug nut the man lost, and they said no refund and they would order the lug nut. So basically because of theyre sucky employee, I wont be driving until they order my part that they lost.Thanks a lot.Never ever using them again.

They charged 1500$ to tow my car and trailer that had been hit by a semi truck and charged 4 hours of clean up when they only cleaned up for 10 min. This place it a total rip off don’t ever go to them. They will hold your car hostage till you pay a stupid amount of money.

My boyfriend got charged $200+ for being towed. The stuff treated it like a joke. He could barely pay the ticket. When he told them how broke he was they LAUGHED. Not only that, they have a super dirty dog just running around inside the building. The dog growled at me as IT WALKED TOWARDS ME. The CHILD that drove my boyfriend and I back to his truck was TEXTING WHILE DRIVING. How irresponsible can these people be. I was in the lobby waiting for my boyfriend to get cash and too CHILDREN working there were laughing about it. They are so unprofessional and disrespectful I am at a loss for words. I pray to God that they get closed down AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I scheduled my car to be towed and they said they would be here in 2 hrs. Its now 4 hrs later and I had to call them so they could tell me they cant tow my car. This was after they had already rescheduled twice.

This company, and their partner Cantu Towing, are ethically on par with a strip club. Crooked and nasty people. I would advise pushing your car to its destination rather than calling for their help.

I get the people here are just doing their job but is it really necessary to charge 3 whole days when technically my car was only there for a whole 24hours ? They picked it up late at night on the 16th, had it all day on the 17th and a few hours on the 18th. Theyre already charging people more than $200 to get theyre vehicle out of there, PLUS additional fees. I really wish they would cut people some slack! Some people cant just pull $300 out to get their only reliable vehicle out of your establishment. Have a heart.

No idea what the service is like but a supervisor with the companys truck posted all over his Facebook has been making extremely racist Facebook posts so theyll never have my business
