Claudia and Eddie Mercer are the most trusted, honest, and kind proprietors in Amarillo with their Kwik Start oil & lube automotive shop. While we waited the final minute or two during their quick service, another woman came in while my wife and I were talking with Claudia and Eddie was working on our car. The other customer was saying how honest she thinks he is. Especially as a woman she said how much she appreciates Eddie after being charged too much at other places. They are next to Benjamins Donuts & Bakery on Bell Street, and take great care of their customers.

We were less than 24 hrs away from leaving on a road trip vacation and they got us in and out with a new starter and peace of mind for our vacation!

I can’t speak highly enough of this business!!! They are everything you look for in auto services. For the service that I required today my dealership quoted me $300 just to check it. Kwik Start was able to fix it ( loose wire) and charged me “0”!! I’ve had work done here before and they are always courteous, professional, fast but accurate and very fair in prices. Another example: my daughter needed a blinker bulb replaced in her Traverse. The dealer quoted $185 because it would be hard to get to. Kwik Start replaced it for $7!

They are reliable l, Do good work and are honest. I have never had to return my car after they have worked on it.

Took my car to get an oil change. Got my car back, and it was misfiring. I took my car in with no misfiring at all to Kwik Start, and received it back with it misfiring. Upon inspection, because of the misfire. I found oil all over my valve cover. I took it back to speak to the Owner Eddie, and he told me, “We didn’t do that, and get off my lot.” I have a co-worker that took it to them also, same thing happened to him too.

Its a top notch place to do business. Everyone is exceptional and efficient that works there.

Meineke has a loaner vehicle and will charge about half as much for brakes but they did a good job on the fuel injectors

So my step dad and mom took my car to this place because my check engine light has been on forever and we wanted to just make sure everything was good. First, they had my car for 4 whole days and didnt start looking at it until 2 days. Second, my car smelled like CIGARETTES when i got it back. Third, when i took my car in it had around 124,700-800 miles and when i got it back it had 125,100 miles on it!!! they told me my timing chain was all sorts of messed up (and it may be) and that i shouldnt be driving it a lot and how they’re surprised it hasnt blown up on me and all this stuff. every time i called them for a check up its like they had no idea what to say to me. i will say that they did not charge us for any of it and that was nice.but c’mon cigarette smell and 300+ more miles on my car??

I went in for an inspection after receiving a recommendation from a friend and I was very pleased. They were friendly and even though there were a lot of us there they worked hard to get everyone in and out quickly. I would definitely come here again.

I’m moving across town and my check engine light came on just outside of town. I stopped by autozone to get the code checked and then stopped by the shop afterwords. They had a full house in the waiting room but still got to me within 15 minutes, let me know what was wrong and let me know that it wasn’t serious enough to put my trip on hold to address. I really appreciated the honesty. I highly recommend if you’re having car problems!

These guys are awful. I strongly advise people go ANYWHERE else. I came in for a broken turn signal and I came back with them saying my car wouldnt start and they dont know what to do or when it would be fixed even though its already been there for 4 days. They were rude when I asked for updates. Very unhelpful. They were never working on my car. They were spiteful and didnt help me out at all. I ended up having to pay for a tow truck and have it taken somewhere else. I am down a vehicle because of these guys they took no responsibility and said it was my problem

We were planning a trip to Disneyland in California so we were getting our Suburban worked on. There was a noise and we took the vehicle to them 3 different times and their owner says the vehicle is good and he would drive it to California. We stop in Las Vegas and the sound is horrible. We take the vehicle to Meineke and their mechanic has the car for 15 mins and tells us he cant believe we made it that far without our tires falling off. Needless to say after $1,200 to replace our rack and pinion and rotators we were able to finish our vacation. I will never take any vehicle back to these guys, not even my kids Power Wheels.

I usually love this place but I pulled up there the other day to have my breaks checked and fixed . The guy walked out asked me what they were doing so I told him he said oh u need all new rotors and pads, your looking at 280$ with out even actually looking at my truck first.

This is the most unprofessional car service place I have ever experienced. When I showed up to my appointment they took my car in for service and I sat in the lobby for 2 hours without any word from anyone, when I walked outside to simply ask how it was coming, they told me the part hadnt showed up yet. They never told me anything the entire time I waited!!!! Terrible awful customer service. The old lady working the front desk, and her son working on my car were immediately confrontational and very rude and completely incompetent

Misdiagnosed a problem with my car and charged me $250 to replace parts that didnt need to be replaced then tried to lie about the whole thing. Made threats when I let him know I will be writing reviews. Leaves the keys visible in the cars out in the lot so anyone can come steal your property at any time. Extremely rude and disrespectful and the most crooked place I have ever been to.
