I have had problems with several channels with tiling/pixelization since Sept 19. I called and called Spark light has changed the cable from the street to the house, changed the cable box 3 times, and now on fire stick, I have told Spark light that it is on there side of the fence. they dont listenI was asked by a person on the phone to ask my neighbors to see if they were having the same problems, Really? ask my neighbors? I was also told by the person on the phone that spark light does not do any thing until they get 5 complaints in the same area from different address. for the price i have been paying spark light offered a $20 discount for 6 months? So you charge me $189.00X 12=2228 per year and they give me a 120 offAll in all go somewhere else this company is a waste of money.
Speeds were greatNetwork was down for part of a day...found this out after waiting on hold gor over an hour...system should be streamlined to recognize outages and inform customers.
When the connection works its decent enough internet, when it works. If it doesnt work then good luck because the have terrible customer service. Do not recommend, but they have a monopoly on internet availability in this area so you have no other options. For a decent connection you have to pay $80 a month.
Absolutely the worst cable service imaginable. Cable is unwatchable about 20 percent of each day and every day due to transmission issues. All that and its grossly overpriced too. Thank you for choosing Sparklight!!!
Stay as far away from this company as possible. They over charge on their prices and if you get disconnected you pay a $90 reconnect fee plus you have to pay a month ahead. That is flat out ridiculous. No other companies do that. They charge $30 at the most for a reconnect fee and dont charge you an entire month ahead. Who in their right mind would pay for a month they havent even used yet So glad Im switching providers

Sparklght is Better than AT&T, in the area I live in I can download games to my PS4/PS5 with no problems I can stream movies with no problems at all Im a satisfied customers
Been with this business 20 years or more. Last 12 months the quality has gone downhill. My internet goes down almost daily. Automated tech support is a waste. If you have other internet service available with good speed take it. Sorry Sparklight/Cableone but your service has gone downhill.
We couldnt have asked for a nicer gentleman to make all ourhookups. The lady I talked to in order to reconnect was very informative and tried to help make sure we were getting what we want. The only issue is I was told what the total price for the first bill was one amount since it would be combined with the previous bill, and was charged about $80 more without knowing why. The service is more expensive than other companies.

I spoke to a representative concerning my service that I was paying for but wasn’t getting. He told me he wold get that corrected right away. He went on about how the billing wasn’t correct and assured me that my bill wouldn’t go up because of the change. I asked him how to access another feature and the directions I was given didn’t work.The internet speed isn’t much better than what I was dealing with when I had AT&T.Now if my son is on his game or my husband is on the computer, my calls or streams are glitching or drops all together, at least the phone is on during bad weather.
They give you a time between 8 and 7 pm and never show up no phone call or anything thats not right to have to sit and wait for no one to show up or at least call

Internet is constantly going down and when I set up my service I asked the lady behind the counter if there was a paper bill option and she said yes bit there was a 100 dollar 1 time payment for it but when I was on the phone with the lady from the home office she said there was no such charge
Just started internet service. Installer not allowed to come in due to covid so we couldn’t get the WiFi One and very disappointing. Had to call 3 days later to get account number. Never received a text, call or email like most companies send to new customers. Internet speed not noticeably faster. But I’ll give it some more time.

I wish I could give 0 stars. The people that work for the company is fine, but the ISP itself is awful. Consistent drops, overpriced, and data caps. Also, I swear if they reply to this with data caps are a standard in the industry I will lose it. The point of being a company isnt to fall in line with a standard, its to be the best at what you do. This company has no motivation to do anything besides monopolize small towns and take advantage of the people that live there through extortionist prices. Even my previous ISP, Windstream, was better than this. Google them and find out how horrific that is if youd like. No, I dont want to contact you. You know your service is horrible and yet you continue to pretend like youre helping customers. The literal second ANY other company moves into Altus, you can consider my subscription cancelled, happily.
I live in Altus, Ok - In the 2 years Ive had them, I can only recall one slowdown but never an interruption.. and that was a phone call combined with a router reset. I have no complaints. The only thing I would add it their 100mb down service supplied about 130mbps in reality.. when I upgraded to 200mbps it only increased to 147mbps... Now I never called them because my Upload speeds went from 4mbps up to 22mbps.... I didnt want to jack with a 150/22 connection
I have been working from home from my father’s house due to Covid-19 and the company could not keep a consistent connection. It kept going down every day between 11 am to 4 pm. Peak hour for people to be working. I was told it was because they were doing maintenance on the lines. Common sense would tell you to do maintenance overnight when most people are sleeping and not on the internet. The only thing consistent about this company is that it will bring down the lines during the day when you need it!!
Review update:They are getting better. While I still have an issue getting service to my residence due to some issue with the address in their system, the service to our business has been mostly stable with a few interruptions over the past 8-ish months. I am still not getting the full advertised up/download speed during the day but it is close and fast enough to handle moderately heavy traffic. Im about to request static IPs to host a low traffic server so i will report once we have an idea of how that is going.

I thought switching and paying a huge amount a month which was something I didnt want but At&t gave no choice. I rated 3 stars because I have pauses when watching on Video On Demand. We have way less that allowed for devices to be connected and 3 times now I have had trouble with speed and frequency through Sparklight Internet backed up by Fiber Optic Cable.

The local representatives and techs at our local Sparklite are the absolute best. I wont give names for privacy, but the rep. Actually asked me if today would be too inconvenient for me, and they actually sent out two techs since it was late in the day. Just recently moved to the area. My last home had AT&T fiber internet in the neighborhood, shocked to find that internet speeds are just as comparable here. My service technician Robert was outstanding! In and out of the house in less than 30 minutes even with a small trouble shooting problem with my modem. Couldn’t be happier.
Wouldnt recommend for tv service but their Internet speed is the best you can get anywhere for the price. Not sure what people are complaining about but I have never had any issues. Can Stream multiple 1080p videos from various devices without any stuttering. A+

I came from Cox/AT&T territory and there were a few that were happy with one or the other. But, mainly it was a bunch of whiney babies like you all. Both services go out all the time and get slow. Competitive industries do what they can to get ahead of competition, thus they get ahead if themselves and cant keep promises.
I wish I could put zero stars. This is the worst cable company ever. Good thing no one competes in this are or they would be shut down. The Internet is out more than it works and the digital cable is no better than using rabbit ears on the tv
I can only be on one device at a time. I cant stream on my PS4 and use my Alexa. If I want to use my laptop for homework I have to make sure everything else is turned off.
Do use this company!!!!! Not only does the internet constantly buffer or just plain not connect but they will force you to upgrade if you got over your internet. I’m switching to att.
So lucky they have no competition here in altus. My internet goes in and out as it pleases. My router i get from them resets itself all day long whenever it wants to. And when its working its usually running slower than it should be.
Nearly impossible to get into contact with a representative, and absolutely impossible to contact a representative in under 10 minutes. Spotty, slow service at best. Only thing keeping this lack luster company is the fact that at many locations around town there is NO other competition.
Too much automation, too many times systems are down, too often questions cannot be answered...wish it was more localized and not so much commercialized.
Cable One is the worst ISP Ive ever experienced in my 23 years of life.Growing up back home, my parents always paid for the cheapest internet because they did not feel it was a complete necessity, and even those companies were significantly less horrendous. I pay for the high speed package, and the (lack of) quality is a constant reminder that I still need to work on my anger issues. If you enjoy playing online games (even games from 2005), be prepared to have random, unplayable lag for undetermined amounts of time. If you have another choice as far as internet goes, choose the other option. These people only exist because they have no competition. In fact, a team of 6 well-trained monkeys could run Cable One and its room temperature IQ employees out of business. I would be perplexed to learn that ANY employee of Cable One is proud to be a functioning member of that team; They probably lie to their family, saying they do something far less pathetic, like begging shirtless on street corners, or stealing from defenseless, blind elderly people. Every person whom I asked Is Cable One any good? prior to purchasing, always immediately began laughing.

I have had multiple internet services. Never in my life have I had internet go in and out so frequently. 2-3 times a week is uncalled for. I cannot wait for the day that a better cable/internet company actually gets approved in the area so cable one can realize how awful it truly is.
Weve had Cable One for a month. No cable/internet on Sundays. We were also shut out on a Friday. They still bill my account for the whole month.If I call the 877 line, Im informed that the outage is an upgrade, or a repair. What a load of crap!Update: Basically no internet for last 2 weeks as of 11/5. They gave me a credit for $20.72. Once again, they were upgrading and repairing the node. Ive had this service for 5 months on a promotional charge. They plan to increase my bill to $120 next month. Im planning to change our service.

Spotty, intermittent connection. They never provide the service they advertise but you bet they’ll always charge you. I wish I could record the times I have no service and they could just refund me. Abysmal customer service as well. If it wasn’t for the fact they have zero competition they would have been gone long ago. Data Caps should be a crime, it’s just a greedy way to make you pay more.

I have been stationed all over the world; everything from high end cities to third world countries. I have had internet at all places and only had the occasional issue every once and a while. I Then get the unfortunate pleasure of having to deal with Cable One. It started with service issues and constant calling tech support. I have been put on hold multiple times; with waiting times of 20 minuets that result in a disconnection. After two straight months of hell I finally called to cancel my service. The Cable One customer service lady actually told me good luck because they were one of two internet providers. Wasnt a big issue for me at the time until I found out the other service was an AT&T 3G service. I am not a legal specialist but isnt a Monopoly illegal? Also, not to mention that they are fully aware of the dynamic and doesnt care whether or not you are a customer. They have no motivation to provide fast reliable service; customer service is a joke and is very rude. The techs tracked dirt through my house and became angry when I asked for an additional hookup upstairs. The same tech just up and said he refuses to install the 2nd access point even though it is an additional charge and Cable One would have made more money. Tolerating 3G service is much better than dealing with Cable One. OBTW if you want to change service options or need immediate assistance outside of local business hours; your out of luck and have to do without until the next day. Defiantly run the other way.
Im not really sure why everyone else has problems with this company, but they really are not bad at all. I come from a big city, and have moved around quite a lot, altus being the most rural place I have ever been. The internet here is amazing for being in the middle of nowhere practically. I have never had an issue. The internet is fast enough for me to watch/download anything within minutes. The people are very nice and installed it when they said they would, And they did so within 10 minutes. Weve never had an outage with our internet as well. I honestly think this is a great service considering where its located. I have no complaints.
Overpriced, always removing more channels, internet connection sucks! Hours and hours on the phone with tech support explaining the same thing over and over.

Internet has been going down multiple times a day. Sometimes every 2 hrs or so for 3-30 mins. REALLY FRUSTRATING.
Cable One has to be the worst service of all times. Customer service is bad and they have no idea of what they are doing. The Internet is very unreliable and extremely slow. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone but since we live in a town that still thinks is the 50s then we have no other good choice but to get this crap because AT&T is bad here too.
Terrible services. They ran and line and left it above ground and it got ran over by the base lawn mowers. I called and they came out to fix it but left the new line above ground again. I was told its not their job to bury it. Their corporate office says otherwise.
TV service is bad Lot of interference and off a lot. Price goes up when this happens not down. Look elsewhere for tv service, may cost to start but you will save moneyin the long run.

How are we supposed to return equipment when you’re only open half a day? Called customer service to cancel prior and they said the only way to cancel is to bring equipment in, but their hours don’t allow it. Absolutely terrible customer service and worse internet speeds. Stick with AT&T
