We had a wonderful experience this week. Look at the beauty we bought — a new Santa Cruz! We did our homework beforehand but still had lots of questions. Dan was calm, professional, and patient throughout, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful, too. They were happy that we were happy! Though we drove a little distance to do business at Dean Patterson, well definitely do it again in the future. So worth it.

The entire staff treated my Mom like she was a VIP. They walked her thru every step and insured she understood every piece of paperwork she signed and made sure she knew all the bells and whistles her new car offered. IT is a 2 day story, I stopped in on Saturday and test drove a used 2500HD and it was just not our cup of tea. So my salesman Camden Hoover saw that i was serious and took my info and promised to call when he gets something. Well low and behold didnt a 2022 2500HD show up out of the blue. He could not have been at work more than a min. before he blew my phone up. after a brief conversation he hit the nail on the head it was the model we were looking for. We have bought 3 vehicles from Dean Patterson and always go back for service of the vehicles. This week I took my Equinox there for oil change and tire rotation. The service department alerted me that it was due for inspection in 2 days of which I COMPLETELY forgot about. They fit me in and got it done for me and the service gentleman couldnt have been any nicer. They also washed and swept the inside of the car for me!! Thats great service!!
You will love coming here to look around taking your time without being pressured. The sales personnel are there to help you in any way on buying the vehicle of your choice. You can even test drive many vehicles, ‘ place them side by side to see the one that fits its you and your needs. I did a few times before I decided on the one I liked. You definitely need to go down to Dean Patterson if your looking for your ride! We took our vehicle in for recall work. When we called and made the appointment, they went over all the issues and we were told that everything would be fixed and it would take approximately 2 hours. We took time off work to drop off the vehicle and when we went to pick it up, we were told that it was not fixed. They apparently neglected to order one of the necessary parts. Now they want us to reschedule and make another trip to bring the vehicle in for service. I realize that it was repairs for a recall. but we really hoped to be treated just the same as a paying customer, and not have to deal with making more trips to get the issues fixed.
Whether you have less than perfect credit, or stellar credit, theres a deal that can be made. Purchased a vehicle here this past weekend. No pressure, no pushing cars on you. Their willing to make something work for you at your pace. Dans a good dude.

They didnt have the vehicle we wanted on the lot, but got the car of our choice within 5 days. No Hassel salesmanship. They were very reasonable with our needs. We put a fair offer down per month and they actually went a couple dollars a month less than what we asked. Very respectful and they wanted our business. We had a bad experience in 2010 and were told this wasnt the same Management team from a friend. So we gave them a try and will do so again with our future vehicle needs. Thank you for making this a great experience from beginning to Finance. Really Great experience and would recommend to family and friends!

The sales and garage /services are amazing people. They go above and beyond for their customers. The detailing shop isnt good for interior cleaning. Theyve done my car 3x. And never fully vacuumed the car nor treated or cleaned any of the leather. Their detail services are a disappointment.
Unfortunately, my old car suffered a somewhat catastrophic failure and I needed a new car. I have been partial to Hyundais for the last 10 years, so i went looking for a replacement. I went on-line and said I was interested in a car and I received an email that night. I contacted the salesman (Joe Carper) and we setup a test drive for the next day.Due to my situation, I had a rental car until I could buy a new car. Well, I liked the car I test drove and the paperwork was done within an hour. Not only did they give me a ride to return my rental car, but they also towed my old car (which I traded in) at no charge. My old car may have not made it to the dealership. The staff really went out of there way to make a difficult situation as easy as possible. I would highly recommend Joe carper and Dean Patterson if you are in the market for a new car.
I was looking for a new Jeep and trading my Jeep Compass. I saw so many dealerships offerings the year and model wanted..as far away as Harrisburg, as near as Bedford. I stopped by Dean Patterson and was told that the appointment I had made with a salesperson was not available and the vehicle that was to be reserved was out for a day long test drive. I was ready to blow the dealership off...until Patrick was tabbed as my salesman. He and the manager Robby as well as the financial manager talked me into the sweetest Cherokee Trail Hawk. I love everything about the vehicle..from the exterior color to the really cool interior to all the gadgets, bells and whispers. My Cadillac is my summer car and if I get to trade in time with it, Ill be going to Dean Patterson.

It took more time than what my husband and I expected for a oil change and a tire change. But, I was very pleased that my car had been cleaned inside and out. This was the first time that Dean Patterson Service Center ever washed my car. Also, I was glad that I had a voucher from GM points to pay for my oil change and tire rotation - I am still disappointed that GM took the benefit away that this would be free during the warranty phase of the new vehicle!

My initial appointment was July 9th but told my parts would not be in until July 12th and my car would be fixed by July 15th. I called on the 15th since I never heard from the dealership and told my car was not even touched and that the Tech was on vacation now. I picked up my vehicle and on the 16th. I received a call on the 20th and told my car will be able to be fixed on the 28th. I dropped my car off at 8am and received a call at 9am that my car will not be seen today and the Tech is backed up so I would have to push the appoint back another 2 weeks despite my car still needing an inspection done by the end of the month. I picked up my car again and will not be returning to this dealership. They are unprofessional and continually changing their stories when spoken to. I’ve never had such a poor experience with a dealership before. I would not recommend trusting this dealership with your car.

Stopped by just to show my wife the line of Cadillacs. Brent assisted by showing us the different styles. After asking the right questions and listening to what we were looking for, Brent led us to what would be our new car. We were struggling between two vehicles and he and the team worked deals on both that made the choice difficult! Both were great cars and awesome deals. I have been looking at Cadillacs for months and knew that the deal was solid. I have heard from several people that Patterson was a good dealership and I have to agree. I have purchased a lot of vehicles in my life and must say none of my experiences were better than this.
Just a few days prior to having my oil changed on my 2020 Hyundai ellantra I went to Dean Patterson to purchase a new oil filter because I was unsure of cost of having it done at dealers and I normally do my own upkeep.Concerned about future warranty issues, I decided to go to dealer to have documentation. My wife made appointment and was very specific that we already had oil filter on dash and it was stated on work order. When she picked up the car after service the filter was still in place and she had to pay 50 dollars until she was notified that its a warranty service and is free for 3 years.Thank you Dean Patterson for keeping customers in the loop and paying attention to work orders even though the customer very adamantly stated the customer had the oil filter.

I have been taking my car to Dean Patterson for service for a while, mainly oil changes, and they always are very friendly and courteous and get the work done in a timely manner. They also did a great job cleaning my car after the oil changes.
I made a service appointment that they confirmed by email 4 separate times. They then lost my appointment, which was on a Wednesday. I got a notification that the part my car needed arrived Thursday at noon, but I called on Monday because I STILL hadn’t heard anything and they had clearly forgotten all about me as they only pulled my car in after I called to see if it was done. (Brandi made sure to tell me that they had been working on a line of vehicles that were scheduled after mine so I’m assuming they just forgot about me). It doesn’t seem like they did everything they charged me for, as the original issue of a leak is still very present. Additionally, they BROKE OFF and didn’t replace my windshield washer fluid cap. They also damaged my radiator shroud as it is pulled away from the vehicle. I’ll be going elsewhere next month to purchase a new vehicle because this was ridiculous

I was very dissatified with my experience with the manager and the service team at Dean Patterson. When I bought my car there was an issue with the tire and after 2 trips from state college to altoona they found the issue and then I had an issue with my car smelling with antifreeze and needed 2 hoses and they were claiming my warranty didnt cover it and tried charging me 654.00 to fix my car. I had made 2 payments on my car and I ask to sell it back to them and the manager tried telling me I needed to come up with 3000.00 to sell it back to them. I will never recommend anyone coming there for a car . The only person that I would recommend is Camden Hoover he is very professional but as far as everybody else DEFINITELY NOT. I will be reporting my experience with the better business bureau.

After having negotiated the purchase price and making a down payment, I asked them to sweeten the deal by asking for an accessory and a spare but they said no can’t do. However, when I showed up I was given the 150.00 car accessory I had asked for plus a box a chocolate to sweeten the deal. Great first experience with Dean Patterson.
My service at Dean Patterson is always done professionally and in quality time. Jimmy that works on my car always knows exactly whats wrong and fixes it right the first time. I have been buy Chevrolets for the last 40 years I wont take my vehicles anywhere else.
This was an emergency service since I was visiting family in the area (and I am not from the area). They listened to my problem and evaluated the issue within an excellent amount of time. Even though they couldnt complete the repair, they did a great job with the car so that I could get home and to my normal service dealership.
I came in and told them what car I wanted and what color and they made it happen. Matt was the BEST! Super down to earth and not fake like a lot of salesmen tend to be. And Dean Alexander IV helped make it happen, and quickly! Best customer service I have ever had at a car dealership! Thanks guys!
The quote I was given didnt match the final bill. When I questioned it, I was told the diagnostic part of the bill wasnt included in the quote so my bill was $200 higher. Be careful when taking your vehicle there for service, make sure you ask for the entire amount when they quote the repairs.

I brought my truck in for a complimentary oil change and tire rotation which was nice. Apon picking up my vehicle after hours of the service department i noticed several grease smudges and two hand prints on the side and hood of the truck. I usually keep my truck washed and waxed, so having this mess on my vehicle didnt make me too happy. It did however wipe off easy with a good t- shirt.I was offered to get my rear brakes replaced due to being very warn. When I got the quote of 500 some dollars I was blown out of the water. I thought that was awful pricey for rear brakes so I declined.
My salesman, Dan was excellent. He worked with me to find a perfect truck match. He never pressured but was persistent. Great experience

I called service dept. 4 times on 3 separate days due to factory recall. Service dept. never answered or returned my calls when I left a message. Gave up after that. Took my business to Ziegler’s in Claysburg after that. They answered my call that day and scheduled me ASAP.Gave Patterson 2 stars only because I used them before for a minor repair without an issue. But I won’t waste my time there again.

My husband and I just happened to be in Altoona. We stopped by.i had been researching Cadillac xt5 for few months options etc.i have been a loyal Jeep Grand Cherokee limited customer for yrs.but since retirement I wanted a smaller suv.but still wanted all the luxury options I was accustomed to. I had my mind set on the Cadillac xt5.the dealers are few.they just happened to have 1 in pretty much everything I was looking for. And we worked out a deal that we could agree on.i was very content with working with Chris the sales manager whom works with the numbers.if they continue to work with me.we will be loyal customers in the future when we are ready to upgrade. Only downside was not having someone show me the features and what the buttons all do.in that aspect I think the sales team should be better trained on that.our sales man Pat didnt know.and Im just figuring it out myself. I was accustomed to being showed all that in previous vehicle purchases.
It would be nice if u put the price on used cars and trucks for online shopping, you guys say your 0 hassle yet hide the price, why hide the price unless you intend on getting peoples info see what they have for a trade in and then change the price. 0 hassle my A$$.
