This planet fitness is awesome (I’ve been to 3)! The staff go above and beyond daily. They keep the gym nearly spotless, they speak to you upon every entrance and exit, some even greet you by name which is so kind! I had to switch gyms solely due to equipment needs, but I still miss the kindness of the staff here very much. If you’re considering joining, do it!

My partner and I visit here multiple times a week, and we love it. Planet Fitness makes it incredibly easy to workout however you want, whenever you want, with plenty of equipment to choose from. The staff are really friendly, the equipment is clean and organized, and its nice and cool in the gym. The environment is perfect for anyone who may be a little nervous about going, since theres a strict anti-bully policy. Definitely my gym of choice in the area.

Robyn is an awesome and caring manager who has been very attentive to the members. Great staff and members are super friendly! Lots of cardio equipments, training machines and free weights. Facility is super cleaned. Love the massage chairs and hydromassage beds!

I canceled my membership and was charged after my cancellation. I called and was told there was no record of my cancellation. They said would credit the amount back to my bank account but they never did. I called a few times and was assured it was being processed but in the end I had to dispute it with my bank. Never heard from them again.Edit: Management is who I reached out to and they never got back to me.

This planet fitness location is usually not too busy and Is the nicest 24 planet fitness Ive been to so far and I generally enjoy them all. The staff here is very friendly and Ive seen a lot of different staff so whoever is hiring is doing a good job. Clean

Best gym I have ever been a member at.

My first time as a Planet Fitness member and I am loving it. The facility is very clean, everyone has been friendly and willing to help. In addition, there is a wide variety of machines and stations. I am loving it.

Offers very little in free weights however, a wide variety of cardio machines and weight machines. The place is overall clean and usually not crowded. Good place to get toned up

I Always Have a great experience..i love my gym. Its clean, all the employees there are wonderful and very helpful. They are practicing social distancing and keeping equipment sanitized.... not only employees but the members as well. Great job!!! I will recommend this gym to all my family and friends.

I just joined, I decided to join as a blk card member because I wanted to have access to the tanning beds in the winter, hydro beds and massage chair in which I really like using after a good workout, so far showers stay pretty clean so I use it, all in all I made a good choice. Also as a blk card member you can invite a friend or family member free so they can see if they like it enough to join without the hassle of a 7 day free trial that you have to use in 7 days!...nonsense.😉

Just got a membership here and I love it! Very clean and the staff are awesome!

I have been patient with this branch of PF because it only opened a few months ago. I own two businesses myself, so I am sympathetic to the problems that come along with this. But unfortunately, the issues here seem to be snowballing, instead of improving.The problem is that the management here takes little pride in the maintenance of their equipment. You would think that this would not be much of an issue because of the newness of the facility, but you would be wrong. They have a lot of equipment issues. And while I dont blame management for these things breaking, I DO hold them responsible for not fixing them.For instance, cardio equipment...Many of us have become very frustrated because a lot of monitors are broken. There are also a significant number of machines that are broken. If you want to use an Arc Trainer (the popular handleless model) and watch a monitor at the same time, you are out of luck. Though they have seven machines, each station has either a broken-down Arc Trainer or a broken monitor. AND IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY FOR MONTHS. There are other problems with cardio equipment as well, but I would like to keep this under 10,000 words.The newest debacle is that they have closed the Standup Hybrid tanning station because the door is broken (?!), and it has been broken for over a month. Of course, a lot of members are paying for Black Card membership (including me), but not able to utilize the Black Card services.On the positive side of things (Im actually a very positive person), the staff here is generally pretty good. They are mostly helpful and professional. Unfortunately, they have very little control over these maintenance issues. In fact they, feel pretty bad about it when you bring it to their attention.A couple of my friends have already left for Club Fitness, but I am holding out for a miracle (new management?), because I live closer to this facility.

They will tell you anything to get the membership and then all of it changes after they have their money. Management is unhelpful and rude.Response to owner: I spoke with staff members about the issue. along with management. They were rude and aggressive. The membership was cancelled before it was used and a bait and switch claim filed with my bank and the state.

My husband and I live in south Florida and are staying in Bethalto for a couple of months. We just happened to be able to go into this gym for the grand opening. Its so nice not to have to drive into Edwardsvilles PF when we can save time by coming to Alton. And I can tell everyone it is the best Planet Fitness we have been in, and we have been in several across the country for work! The employees are so helpful and the gym is super clean. Highly recommend!

The gym is smaller than the other one I went to but I don’t mind it too much since I go so early in the morning. It’s pretty clean and staff seems friendly but The only thing that bothers me is the music. The music is so loud that even with my AirPods on almost high I can still hear it... maybe it’s because of the size so it echos but it’s annoyingly distracting.

Nice place. The people working there are nice. Unlike club fitness theres no card to use to get in the building but a app. But if you have android phone (like me) the PF app is not available. So to check in you need to give them your phone number that you use to register with. Its a bit annoying, dont know how that would work if you come in late nights or early mornings with no staff..
