** EDIT 9/27/21** I left this same review with the salon’s internal review system last night, and received a text from them this morning extending sincere apologies and offering to make the situation better. I am impressed with their responsiveness and will continue to update this review. ***Making the appointment was easy and I was greeted warmly upon arriving. They even let me add a pedicure last minute, which I really appreciated.This was my first time getting acrylics. The lady doing my acrylic set seemed like she was rushing, and continually got frustrated with me not knowing how the process worked/ how to relax my arm/hand. It felt like she took advantage that it was my first time getting acrylics. She got the shape right and beautiful for most of my nails, but really did a sloppy job on other nails.When buffing down the acrylic with the drill, she cut into my right cuticle/ finger,making me bleed - and DIDNT EVEN NOTICE until I said something. She did put Neosporin on the wound. There were bubbles in the topcoat paint, and she didnt take care to fully paint the tips of my acrylic nails, so the tips look incomplete. Overall really disappointed in the service here and will not be returning.My set looked ratty and sloppy.

Wonderful service! I got a gel manicure and the nail tech Jenny was meticulous, detailed, and friendly. They get you in and out in a speedy fashion, while producing great results. Their prices are very fair and always worth it. I never have to worry about being happy with my nails at the end of my visit to Altadena Nails & Spa :)

The new owners purchased the business a few months ago. I have been very satisfied with my services, in fact my gel and dip manicures have lasted almost 3 weeks. Today I tried the cellophane design. I love it. If you were used to coming here under the old management, you did not need to make an appointment. Now it is a necessity, and I think it works better everyone.

I showed up a little earlier to my appointment and they took me with no problem. They were very nice, and there work was great. I will definitely be going back

I love this place I’ve been going here for years and the new management really stepped up the service here. Due to covid-19 it’s appointment only which is efficient. They really make you feel safe and relaxed and the nail polish lasts 3-4 weeks
