Rarely busy, above par compared to most post offices. Drive further to go here vs waiting in lines in Lakeside or El Cajon for same service.

Lot of my mail always delivered to other neighbor with similar address number..about 3 every month

I would give them 0 stars if I could. They lost 3 FIRST CLASS IMPORTANT PEICES OF MAIL AND HAD NO EXPLANATION WHERE THEY ARE WHEN ASKING FOR HELP AT THE OFFICE ALSO NOT BEING HELPFUL AT ALL! I have had my neighbor bring 2 pieces of mail to me that was clearly my unit number not theirs! ALPINE HAS HORRIBLE USPS EMPLOYEE’S HORRIBLE!!

Mail consistently goes missing, post office is closed almost all the time, currently seems to only be open 2 hours a day. When we stopped by to ask about missing mail we were berated in front of people. Worst service ever, and in a small town that is unacceptable.

I submitted a change of address, and the Alpine post office was VERY quick to respond. I just called about a package that was to arrive today....the phone was answered during the lunch break and the lady was super sweet and helpful! Kudos to the efficient workers at Alpine USPS!

I moved to Alpine for the small-town atmosphere where everybody knows everybody and people really care. For example when you ask for directions in the big city you might just be ignored or you might get the feeling that you are annoying whoever youre asking. But here in Alpine people say let me show you or Its this way, just follow me, Ill show you. Thats why I moved here. So the fact that they close for half an hour lunch doesnt bother me and everytime Ive called its never more than 3 rings before somebody answers the phone with a pleasant attitude and has answered my questions happily and thoroughly without making me feel rushed.

Cheapest PO Box rate in East County. I forgot to hold my mail and found my box crammed with Vons ads that I have no use for.

Its a post office. Not the fastest place but do you really expect speed here? If youre in a rush, just go another time when you arent. The staff is friendly enough. They get the job done and thats what matters.

Was left a Sorry we missed you note in our mailbox which is at end of road. It indicated that nobody was home and there was no secure place for them to leave the the package. Couple things wrong with that! Husband home all day today with the garage door open, several secure places all over our property to leave package. We live in the country on several acres, The worst part of the whole deal is when I called the office, the supervisor did pick up. I let him know that there was no way they came up to our house with package. Told him my husband watched the post truck drive by our house and did not even stop. He told me I have to back my drivers. He said we are open from 6am-5pm for package pickup. You can pick it up then. He was really rude, I finally had to hang up before I came unglued.He pretty much indicated to me I was lying. Im just pissed at how inconvenient they are. They love collecting the money but dont deliver the goods. Sounds like someone was in a hurry and didnt drive up to house. In the past, we have also had the post office leave a large package underneath the mailboxes out on the road rather than leave it at the house. They felt they did nothing wrong that time either.

Made an appt to get a passport and no one was there to help, why make an appointment. I drove 45 minutes to get there.

Of all the places that I have lived this is the friendliest and helpful especially the large gentleman who answers the pick up window .

Thanks for losing my DMV reg renewal. Now Ive got to spend all day in line at DMV to pay my tags. Thanks again you collective of geniuses! Hope the same happens to you all.

Updated 01/09/19: So why do you people even get paid over there when you clearly cant do your jobs? Why do you keep messing my deliveries up? Tracking number says my package arrived, and now its going to San Bernardino? Virtually the same thing happened a few days ago too. This is literally the most incompetent post office Ive ever had to deal with, these people are idiots.-----------------------------------------------------Ive been waiting for my license for 3 months, after finally calling the dmv, they confirmed the post office received it nearly 3 months ago and lost it. Now I have to go to the dmv and pay to get another one issued, because the post office cant deliver letters? I also had a package get lost earlier this year after it was marked as being both at my door and in a parcel locker, they recommended I ask the ebay seller to refund my money even though they lost it, and marked it as having arrived (you cant get a refund on a lost package when the post office marks it as arriving).

Slow slow went n one staff working counter older female came out to help line kept growin other clerk doin passports could care less need to at least hire part timer african american sup who was real nice to customers got the boot due to employee disaray how much does post office make on passports a year need a change n customer service

I live at 1461 Alpine Grove Lane, Alpine, CA 91901. Every since I have lived here my mail box has been left open at least two times a month, sometimes more. I left a note for my mail carrier and from then on he was careful to close it. Lately it has been happening again. Yesterday I came home at 4:30 and it was wide open again and the rain blew in and my mail and magazines were wet. What can I do to stop this from happening? I dont see my neighbors boxes left open.Thank you for your help in this matter.Glenda Archer

The worst post office ever. What business shuts completely down to take lunch?

I have had 4 packages on different occasions misplaced or so called not received even though they have been signed for. There is no point of having express or first or second day air delivery because this post office makes you wait one more day. They have a supervisor who is extremely rude and unprofessional. It is no wonder why post offices are closing.

No not just closed at 12:30pm everyday, but a lot f times 10 mins beforehand at 12:20pm

It would be apprectaed if the mail carriers would leave the mail in the mail box.... The is NO way to contact the Post office directly...Just a 1-8-00 number...

There phone always seems to be busy and never can reach them for questions.
