It takes a lot to impress me! Syllables Learning Center has me turning back-flips! I learned to read by sight-memorizing of words, one at a time. If only I had known that there was a better way, learning the sounds of the English languages in a layered, structured journey that is fun, and takes a struggling reader and advances them for their future success. Check it out for yourself. Youll be glad you did!
I could write a long essay on what Syllables was able to do for my son’s reading abilities. I could write about how they got his reading grade from a C to an A, or how professional and enthusiastic they were when working with a kid that is dyslexic and has ADHD. But, as a parent, the only thing that really matters to me is that my son loves reading by himself and is now on the 5th Harry Potter book. Syllables worked for us.
As a former student of Syllables, I can say unequivocally that the people at Syllables gave me the skills and tools that I needed to become a successful reader and writer. I attended Syllables when I was in 3rd/4th grade after I had been recently diagnosed with dyslexia and ADD. My parents found Syllables, and although I did not initially want to go, I quickly could recognize the progress that I was making as a direct result of the tutoring I received there. Now as a college junior I have been asked to write in nationally recognized research journals, I regularly write reports for my CEO at an internship, and I also TA for a sophomore level rhetoric and composition class.
