I still have horrible, stinking garbage in the can in a country club since Monday. If you are not going to respond to the email, and there is no need to include an original post within the email you tell us to send, a problem is a problem, it is unfair to ask, what do you need the original review exactly for except to possibly dislike the customer, but anyway, please don’t concern yourselves with putting an email address to reach out to in an “apology” email if you won’t respond. Rather, please provide specific instructions on how to cancel, get the prorated amount back, without fees, as you have my money and I have my garbage. I’m in a Country Club and I’m thinking of getting an attorney to get me out of my contract without ridiculous fees…..my homeowners association should be thinking of banning this company as they miss trash pick ups every week, the cans are at the curb, on time, not overflowing do not have any hazardous waste and still they are missed. If you live in an homeowners association please, do yourself a favor and hire basically anyone else, or you will be fined by your homeowners association as your can sits outside for the false promise of a missed pickup. Next stop, the BBB AND Department of Consumer affairs in Georgia. It’s a simple complaint form. Write your senator as these waste management companies need to be held responsible to not be in breech of contract. They are responsible for upholding their contractual obligation and dispose of garbage. During the summer months you can bet that Republic Services has the streets smelling ripe with missed pickups.
I used republic services for my trash and recycling pickup.Awful service. Hidden fees not discussed previously. Wanted me to call every time I have yard waste. I had to call more than 4 times to find out that they wanted to charge $7 dollars per yard waste bag on top of my $90 normal bill, and they want me to call ahead every time.I will be recommending everyone I know to stop using this service
This company is absolutely awful. They have missed at least 5 weekly pickups this year, and their customer service is terrible. Alpharetta needs to find a better waste management company. This is shameful.Another Monday, another missed yard waste pick up. Why does this happen with such regular frequency????? Nobody answers phone lines. This is a lousy operation.....
Would leave a zero star review if it was possible. Raised my rates every billing period this last year til I am paying nearly double what I was a year ago.Despite this, they repeatedly miss pickups, even after promising theyre coming that day. My waste has sat at the curb for WEEKS waiting for them to come and get it. Absolute GARBAGE of a company.
If you live in the city of Milton, there are several options for waste management companies. I do not recommend Republic Services. I scheduled a pickup of 6 yard waste bags in early January. Despite charging me for the pickup, Republic missed 5 scheduled pickups, 2 of which were after I called and escalated with a supervisor. Multiple phone calls into customer support to no avail. Their mobile app and website are pretty useless as well. Save yourself some pain and use a different option. There are several to choose from in Milton. We will be changing providers after this experience.
I sincerely cannot say enough bad things about this company. Zero communication between drivers and HQ. Did not pick up trash from the door for my elderly mother (after they had agreed and assured me over the phone). Generally speaking, they miss pickups once every two to three weeks, so be prepared to call them—A LOT. I have had to send message after message—calling, email, carrier pigeon—they still do not pick up in a predictable pattern and do not follow instructions. Truly a *garbage* garbage company. Do not use. Nota bene. Verboten.

First, let me say that Im not upset about service pick-ups. I havent had an issue with them missing pick up dates. What I am upset about is that the rates keep going up and up and up. If you go to their website right now, they are charging $21/Month or $63/Quarter for regular pick-ups not including the first year discount they offer. I just made my most recent Quarterly payment which was for only weekly pick-up with no extra bags/materials and no special pick-ups and my cost was $177! Even when you take out their self-imposed Environmental and Fuel-Recovery Fees the monthly cost in the invoice is still $42/month.The website does indicate that costs can go up and I get that, but costs should go up for all. How do they justify charging me double the cost of another customer for the exact same service?Plus, their Fees that arent government required or regulated are a percentage of your invoice so my fees are twice those of other customers just because they are screwing me on my bill.Time to look for someone else. Dont be scammed like I was. Find a better company.
Paid for a full year, began having problems with them in May. It’s been 3 months of calling minimum of 2x week to inquire about my missed pick ups- with no resolution. At this point it’s normal for their supervisors to promise a call back, my garbage and recycling to be on the roadside for two weeks at a time, and Republic trucks passing by. I get picked up once a month on the scheduled day if I’m lucky. Their customer service team is very polite, but I have to explain my issue every time. Supervisors and corporate are completely uncourteous.
They have missed my house multiple times on multiple months . They tell me that someone will come to pick the following day and like clockwork no one shows. I also has gotten to the point that I expect them not to show at all whenever I complain. I have spoken to management at this Alpharetta location who gave me only lip service. Look at their ratings and reviews. I agree steer away!
My weekly schedule pick up is on Thursday. I was outside that afternoon and the truck picked up the bins across from my house but not mine. I called them that afternoon and they said they will pick it up Friday. They never did. Called them Monday they said they will pick it up Monday, they never did. Called them Tuesday early in the morning and they said they will have somebody pick it up today (Tuesday). I called them at 3:30 because no one picked it up yet, the manager said I don’t see any pick up scheduel. I’m begging them to pick it up for a service that I’m paying for. These people are lazy and don’t care about customer service. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
First the billing price changes every few months started at 35$ for trash & recycle and now it is 63$. Service was never on time but billing is really bad and they its fees and cancellation is free but they will say removal fee of 64$ very bad on them. And no option to even drop the cans to avoid the this fee. Cannot get them to resolve a billing issue which they add on late fees when I can prove Ive consistently auto-payed with my bank. These accumulate even after Ive called and had it resolved the first time. Will probably have switch to another provider to stop this cycle. Horrible dealing with a company that cannot manage billing for something so simple.
BEWARE: DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THIS TRASH SERVICE!! They are a scam. Never call you back and never get things done, if I could give them zero stars I would.My story goes like this: I started my services with Republic online on 5/12/20. The containers were supposed to be delivered on 5/18/20. The date comes and goes and containers do not get delivered. I called on 5/20/20 they said “oh they didn’t have any containers so it got pushed back to 5/21/20.” Fine. A call or email would have been nice, but of course I didn’t even get that. The containers finally come however on 5/22/20, the trash and recycling does not get picked up. I go online and report the missing pick up. I hear nothing from them so I called on the following Monday. The rep tells me “they must have not known you are now on the route. I will have someone out on Weds 5/27/20.” I say fine that’s understandable. Weds comes around and again trash and recycling does not get picked up. I called on Thursday, and they apologize and say for sure it will be pick up this Friday when they come around on their regular run. Okay fine, it’s two days away. Friday 5/29/20 comes around and GUESS WHAT? Once again, no trash and recycling gets picked up. I am livid at this point and I called on Monday (yes, they are closed on weekends). They tell me how they understand my frustration and to give them just one more chance to make it right that they will come by tomorrow (Tuesday 6/2/20) I worked in customer service all my life so I said okay. One more chance. And guess what? No trash and recycling is picked up. I called on Weds 6/3/20 and tell them I want to cancel because I have had several encounters with them and I am not satisfied at all with their service. The representative agrees that she will have me refund the deposit I put in and also they will not charge me.You would think that this is where my story ends but it doesn’t. Two days later I get a bill for $34.50. This has to be a mistake. Nope I called and they say that they are charging me for having the containers picked up when I cancelled my contract. They have some nerves. I have called more than 3 times. They says they are escalating it to a supervisor and will receive a call. But guess what? They have NEVER CALLED/EMAILED. Nothing from them. They are great are charging people who they didn’t even service once.Do yourself the favor and do not, I repeat DO NOT CONTRACT THIS TRASH SERVICE. You will regret it.
Started trash service 3 months ago and still have not received any trash cans. When I call customer service they say my cans will be delivered tomorrow. That’s happened 4 times now. They’re not slow to send me a bill every month though which I obviously haven’t paid. This has been a complete hassle and am working on finding another company to actually get my trash. Stay away from this company

Placed numerous calls to pick up trash after a missed pickup, stated pickup day came and went and there is still a full can of trash on the street. On the heels of this poor service we are informed that our rate is going up. Called to cancel service and they want us to pay over $50 to pick up the cans! Not no but Hell No!

I have stopped using Republic and found someone else to provide reliable trash service. They continually miss pickups just about every week. I am left calling them only to be told it will be picked up on such-and-such a day, only to be missed again. My trash has been sitting by the curb for three weeks and I have called repeatedly only to have it still sitting there. Don’t waste your money or time on this company.
DO NOT USE WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! They do not pick up, they do not resolve issues, and customer service is disorganized and rude.
I have had Republic since 2014. Apart form their prices going up $3-5 every year, I have no regrets. They never push the pick up days because of a holiday, some how they make it work. What I like the most is the fact that they call you with updates if they are running behind or if there is change in schedule. The app works amazing too. I have used it to request a container replacement and they were there sooner than expected. Keep up the good work.
We left WM and replaced them with Republic because of service issues with WM. Republic was even worse. They charged us 25% more than WM for consistently missed pickups and throwing the cans in our yard when they did come on occasion. When asked about the missed service and bad service they were unbelievably and arrogantly petulant about it. Since they make their money renting the cans vs on the service they provide (or dont provide) they don’t care about whether they do what they are paid to do or not. After two years of absolutely horrible service and astoundingly arrogant customer service from them we went back to WM. We will NOT be using Republic ever again, they are literally the worst vendor we have dealt with since moving to the area.
ETA: Republic took care of this issue the next day after I left this review & reached out to them via e-mail with a complaint. Then someone stopped by our house personally to confirm that it was picked up, which we appreciated! Giving additional stars considering how they quickly reacted to grievances.My husband scheduled to have an old washer picked up on Monday and its currently Wednesday and the washer is still sitting on the side of our road in our neighborhood! He has called every day and the person has been no help at all. Apparently there is nothing she can do.... She is now telling us they wont pick it up until Friday. Its ridiculous that we are paying for a service that Republic obviously cannot provide and that we have a washer sitting on our road for the entire week.
The website says that you are open till 3:00pm. I was turned away at 2:35pm. The rude lady at the counter says that it’s policy to stop customers at 2:30.Please please list this very important information on the website so you don’t waste anyone else’s time. You really close at 2:30!
Republic was good several years ago when they first came to my area. Now they are horrible. I am on automatic billing yet they charge me a $5.00 late fee every quarter. Let that sink in. They take the payment from my checking account but they take it late & then charge me because they took it late. Not only that, but now their trucks constantly break down and either the recycling or the trash sits on the curb for a couple of days past the pickup date. I am going to look for another service! Don’t waste your money!
They were a great company, but something has happened to their service the past two mos. Our entire n’hood is constantly being missed week after week. Constantly calling to schedule a pick up. I didn’t have a good experience with the customer service calls I’ve made. I’m now switching service as everyone else has.
This company has a great service where they text you when they miss your pickup. We’ve gotten that text 6 times in 4 months. Their batting .650. Not bad.
This is the absolute worst company. My trash has been sitting on the curb for weeks at this point. I call them everyday and they apologize and say someone is coming out but no one shows up. Finally they say I didnt put my trash out and sent a picture of the bottom of our driveway. Yeah so I admit it. I put my trash to the side of my driveway so we can still drive our cars without blocking the driveway. Regardless, I provided video evidence to the contrary then they stated that they had new drivers who did realize the trash was ours. Okay but the trash is still sitting there. And if you try and cancel service they will charge you a fee to come get their cans (because you know they cant be bothered to pick them up ostensibly when servicing your neighbors because they are skipping their trash as well). Avoid at all costs.
We had decent service for about a year. In the last six weeks we have been missed three times. Our collection day is Friday and today is Thursday a week after we were missed previously. Aside from having trash stacked up in my garage at this point, Somebody thought it would be fun to come by and kick my overflowing cans over. The only reason they are still out is because my wife continue to call and was assured that they would come and collect the trash. So now I get to start my day clearing trash out of my yard. At this point I believe I would have better luck digging a hole in my backyard and burying the trash than ever getting collected.
It has been missed pickup services for the past 3 weeks, and I need to contact support everytime, and they only came to pick up from the support ticket once out of the 3+ support tickets. Why am I paying full price when Im getting half the service? This company has no idea how to care for and manage customers. I have tried for over 1 year to straighten out a billing issue with them and it’s still not resolved. How hard is it to bill for trash and recycle on 1 bill? Why charge 2 rates at 2 different times, collect the money automatically on a credit card, then penalize the customer with a late fee? A late fee after PAYING AUTOMATICALLY WITH A CREDIT CARD EVERY FREAKIN MONTH?????!!Stay away from this service, they suck.
Been our Thrash removal company for last 3 years with no issues in terms of service quality of field folks, suddenly removed our containers without any notice and charged us for both removal and delivery and when questioned about it, canceled our service and put it to collections. This not how to treat customers or resolve misunderstandings.Back office personnel’s needs big overhaul, they discredit the excellent service that their field personnel are offering.
Without a doubt, the worst trash service possible. They pick up what the feel like, when they feel like. We have two trash bins and then allowed up to 5 bags overage on the ground. Drivers have refused to pick up a single bag on the ground for the last 10 weeks and Republic has done ZERO to remedy the situation despite multiple calls. HORRIBLE.
Without a doubt the worst customer service. They raised prices by 40% without notification so we cancelled. Three months later and many, many calls, they won’t pick up their cans. Do not use these guys if you have any choice
Honestly, they deserve 0 stars. I’ve struggled to have them pick up both recycling and waste. They can’t even manage to pick up after I’ve notified them of a missed pickup. The typical response is they are going through changes in my area. I will be switching to Red Oak at the end of the month as Republic is just terrible. I moved to Forsyth from Dekalb county (aka one of the most corrupt local governments in the greater Atlanta area) and the county run waste management was amazing in comparison to Republic.

If I could give negative stars, I would. It is August and I’m well into double digits in the number of phone calls I have made since May. My service was always sketchy at best. Then no trash or recycling was picked up the entire month of May. No matter how many times I called, begged, spoke to supervisors, etc. They would guarantee pick up the next day. Which never came. By the end of May - with trash piled from birthday parties, Cinco De Mayo and graduation - I pleaded to just have the cans removed and cancel my service. The cans were removed and I thought I was done. It’s August and I have been going around and around with them on payment for May. Are you frickin kidding me???? I’m not paying a dime when I got no service! Calling the company is like Groundhog Day. Until they do a major operational overhaul, I would stay as far away from this company as possible. The level of incompetence and lack of customer service is unparalleled.
Our neighborhood has no choice in selecting trash removal companies for service. It is handled by the City of Alphartta. This company is the worst. Over the last three months they have either neglected to pick up my trash, or my recycling or my clippings. When I call them to tell them they neglected to to do it, it takes three to four calls for them to return if they return at all. If I had a choice I would NEVER use this service.

I have been trying to get my trash and recycling picked up for 3 weeks! I have been told certain days and that I would get a call back and nothing has happened. This is absolutely ridiculous!! Nobody is on the same page and nobody can give me an answer. This is not professional at all. I was told that the service sucks and I I should have listened.
Multiple times one of my 2 trash cans (recycle ) was not picked up and after waiting next 2 days I had return it back to garage. They forgot me for 2 weeks. I was calling to their customers service multiple times and was assured that notice will be send locally and it it will be picked other day. After 2 weeks they picked up again just one of 2 trash cans. I called again, request 2 weeks reimbursement and promised them to cancel their service tomorrow if recycle can still full by the end of the day. It seems talking with customers service representative is just formal and goes no where. I am pretty frustrated and would be concern with companys poor reviews if I would be a manager. Get your strike, Republic Services!
My trash is picked up about 50% of the time. Always have to call in and get same answer we will send somebody out but still no pick up. This company SUCKS!!! Taking business elsewhere after rates have gone up and service goes down!!
They did great for 6 months or so. Then I went through 5-6 weeks with 1 correct pickup, 1 off day pick up and about 10 phone calls. They missed rescheduled pick ups over and over. It finally culminated with a letter I just received saying they will no longer be in my area due to route changes and will pick my cans up in a few days. Service terminated with 4 days notice... The ironic part is that the recycle container was picked each week by a different truck. They never missed a beat. This company needs serious leadership/management help.
Worst company ever! First 6 months started out fine - no issues. However, they have missed my trash pickup now 4 weeks in a row (with multiple calls each time to get them to come back out) and a few times here and there before that. Ive been told straight up lies on the phone and have been promised that they have resolved the issue and not to worry as my route will be monitored and picked up next week...yeah...that didnt happen. Never was offered anything for the inconvenience. I was with Red Oak before these losers and never had an issue with them. Guess Ill be going back to them.
Tried for about 6 hours to call this location to simply get pricing on dumping construction debris. I also tried to call the location in Roswell. Neither one of them bothered to answer the phone a single time. So with that said, dont waste your time giving your money to them. They clearly have enough of it already.Edit - $84 minimum to dump here. They are out of their minds. The next most expensive I have seen is Roswell at $50. Cumming is 45 and Dawsonville is 10. Ridiculous.
The customer service here sucks!! Dont know where they find this cream of the crop crew!!!I have a problem with having to pay a bill in February for April, May and June service. I get paying it in April but February? I would rather use my money than give them cash flow for two plus months before they have to provide the service!!! Republic, you should look at your accounting department if youre having cash flow issues or go get a line of credit from the bank instead of ME!!!

There is a trail of glass that followed the truck throughout neighborhood. Every week there seems to be another problem in Hillbrooke.

Garbage collection was missed on Monday, May 22 2017. Called to dispatching phone and was told that garbage will be collected by EOD Saturday, May 27. Collection was not done. The service is absolutely unreliable!
When the next billing cycle comes around Im dropping this company like a bad habit. My trash has been sitting on the curb for two days, waiting for them to get around to picking it up. I tried calling them (repeatedly) but they never answer their phone!Back to Allied or even WM.
Rebublic Services almost never picks up their recycle bin even though I have spoken with the customer service people several times. Unacceptable.
