For a Small Town mechanics shop you couldnt ask for more!!! They are honest, friendly, reasonably priced, and wonderful at their jobs. Scott, the owner, is on top of everything and makes sure you feel like your car matters. They are the first shop I recommend whenever someone asks for a good mechanic.
I used Lavery because it was in walking distance, but Lavery misdiagnosed my problem (told me it was one wheel bearing and not the other) even though I told them to check the wheel bearings. I went to Pops after they came at me with a ridiculous price tag after the fact, and Pops did a great job. Problem solved at almost 1/3 what Lavery wanted. Will use Pops again, never Lavery.
Terrific place always does top quality work. Definitely should take your vehicle there
Great affordable fast friendly service if you need your car fixed and your on a budget they do it right this is the best place in alliance Ohio to go I love them they do such a great job at fair price
Pops auto is very dependable place.Far price for the work they do.Ive used them several times and not once have they miss lead me.Nevere had to have them go back over and correct what they where paid to do.I highly recommend them.Fair price and quality work.NO back yard mechanic at this place.
Awesome experience and excellent price i needed my my universal joints changed i figured to do both. The shorter guy i think his name was scott was honest and said the front was newer and i told him about my truck how it slams and he said he also had a silverado to stuff the driveshaft with grease and that worked great. Im a DIY i dont like shops but, i will highly reccomend this place.
This review will be long but honest. Just my experience with them. Years ago I went to Scott and Steve down at mobile. My grandfather, father and myself went there. Years later things change. I had been out of town and working in Oklahoma for about 7 months the wife calls and states her f250 is having trouble starting. I say ok call mobile and get it looked at. She tells me what had happened with mobile and also now Mr. Lab is at pops.... Okay give pops a try.... It turned out to be a simple battery terminal issue and it was fixed and she was on her way at no charge.( I hate to say no charge because I do not want ppl to expect that. It just happens every now and then.) Next time I get tires on her other vehicle and ask for an alignment. Im told cant do it due to bad ball joints. I get the quote and it sounded high. I will not bash the tire place cause yes tires were fair. I called pops and repair work previously quoted was just shy of half the price. They did a great job. Just within the last couple weeks I had a younger family member tell me he had a bad wheel bearing.. He got a quote from his normally used big name muffler and brake shop.. Once again it sounded way high. I was thinking ok a hub assembly..... Not that bad we can do it. After looking into it...... Yea no things gotta be pressed in.... pressed on and other things may need torched off.... Thats beyond us... I tell him call pops. Once again they are less than half the previously quoted price. He drops his car off expecting to pay a certain amount. Turns out not a wheel bearing and he walks away paying 1/4 of what he expected . Bottom line I do most things myself. When I cant I will always trust pops. I will go so far to say and I hated to do it... My grandmother still has the corkboard by her phone. I had to remove the mobile card and replace it with pops auto!!!! Thats just my 2 cents!!!
I did not go in so take my review lightly. We went during open hours but noone was there. The price difference for the same style vehicle and year were almost double to linville auto sales. I wasnt pleased with the vehicle selection as it was bare. But i have heard good things about this guy so i want that noted. Just didnt feel anything good from the lot.
Honest people, great work, reasonable prices. Will definitely recommend to anyone in need of a mechanic!
I took my car here because it was shaking, the check engine light kept flashing, it was bogging down and the only time I could get it to start was by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.I was told to bring it at 9 when they open, and I never even heard anything until I called them at 330. Apparently I needed a new catalytic converter, a new cam shaft sensor and TIPM module. $591 later and when I picked up the car, I go to start it and it stalls. So I go back inside and they ensure me it was a glitch and it was fine. We drove around with their little computer and all checks out.I go out to go to work the next day, car doesnt start so I call them up and they are puzzled. They said changing the TIPM module should have fixed the issue of disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it to get it started. Jeep is shaking bad, wont start. (After I already paid 591). They tell me to bring it back. They have it all night and I dont get a call until the next day about 4 saying they hillbilly rigged it so I dont have to disconnect and reconnect the battery anymore. They didnt charge me for this since I already paid 591. Cool. The next day the car is shaking again really bad, check engine light is going crazy, car is barely drivable again. Code reader says a misfire in cylinder 2.A simple $32 coil pack fixed the problem. That my dad installed.Ive explained the situation to many friends and theyve all ensured me that pops took advantage of a single mom who isnt familiar with cars and to not trust them. Heck someone at OReillys wasnt caught by surprise when I told them it was just at your shop and it didnt get fixed.A $591 problem two weeks before Christmas that a $32 coil solved.
Very fair pricing and fantastic service. I will definitely use them again.
