The team at Absolute Dental is exceptional. I had several procedures done with Dr. Shahdad. She took the time to explain in detail all the options available and worked with me to maximize insurance coverage. Dr. Shahdad really cares about her patients, I was experiencing pain on a Saturday, and she came in on her day off to performed bite adjustments. I cannot emphasize enough how professional and caring the team is. Highly recommend it.

I used the dentist a while back but never got to writing a review. I went for cleaning, she advise that I need a filling even though previous dentist I saw said all my fillings look good and don’t need any. I thought,maybe I do, so I agreed to have it done. I wish I did not! She grinned half of my upper wisdom tooth and up to date it still bothers me when I feel it because it’s shorter than the others....I would not recommend the office for anyone, never went back again. Also, at the time,front office personnel was not friendly at all.

I been going to her for years now and have never had a bad experience - very thorough and she likes her work to be done perfect. Which I love ..... gentle and kind. I hate going to dentist but she makes the over all experience worth it. Dental assistant is very acknowledgeable, good at her job, very nice and professional. Front desk staff is pleasant to deal with. I’ve rarely had any long wait periods. Overall great office .

Dr. Maria has been my Dentist since 2016. My teeth are weak and have lots of cavities. I have had fillings before, but Dr. Maria is very precise and uses the best products. She takes time to carefully analyse the bite and doesnt get tired of filling it till the bite is perfect and till there is no more pain. I also got an implant from her. The whole process, from getting the first x-ray of the empty space to the crown took one year. I have had the implant since 2 weeks now and I have no pain and a perfect bite. She is a perfectionist, so I fully trust her. I even slept during some of the procedures she was doing on me. It was that smooth. I would definitely recommend everyone to go to her, especially for implants.

Favorite dentist Ive had. Dr. S takes her time with me, making sure I understand all the aspects of the status of my teeth. Scheduling is always accommodating, friendly, and gives frequent reminders as appointments approach.**Update 7/2020 - Still love going to this office. The hygienist who does my general cleaning remembers my family and job every time I go in. Dr. S does my periodontal cleaning and Im in and out surprisingly quick. Wish I had found this dentist years before I did.

I was recommended to their practice from another patient of theirs. It was a wonderful experience. Everyone was very sweet and patient. It’s not one of those places where you’re just one in 100 other patients. They take their time and make sure you understand and are comfortable with what is happening. Very personalized! I just wanted to share my amazing dentist experience with Dr. Maria Shahdad’s office. Wow – an obsession to secure outstanding patient experience! Which dental office has pre-Covid-19 hygiene routine with shoe covers, N95 masks from 3M only, head covers and surgical gowns. Every part of the office is wiped after each patient visit – yes, it a bit longer for each visit (as a result) with no waiting at all, but they don’t mind investing in patient and staff safety! That is not all…They far exceed all thresholds CDC, ADA and OSHA guidelines. Hot and cold towels and pain-free and anxiety free dental care and attention to dental care like none other – to me the best dentist – hands down! Unless you visit this office, you don’t know what you are missing.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Plano. Ive just finished with Invisalign. They did everything to make my teeth as perfect as I wanted them. Even if that meant re-ordering new trays until I was happy. All the staff is amazing! Caring, i absolutely recommend them.

Would not recommend this place. They stop in between your work to go work on other patients and leave you sitting for an 30mins-1 hour. On top of that they take about 2 hours for the simplest things. These ladies do no know what they are doing and argue with each other while working on patients. Finding a new Dentist!

I have been going to DFW Absolute Dental for more than a year now and Im confortable and happy with the dental work done at this office. The atmosphere and office environment at this dental office are pretty relaxing. The staff here is professional, friendly and caring. They have been taking a good care of my teeth and the appointments (regular, emergency, follow-up or as needed) are pretty flexible.

Promising first experience - was able to get an appointment in a very reasonable timeframe and then was called for a cancellation opening even earlier. The facility is clean and attractive, and communication and check in process with the front desk very clear and efficient. Liked the updated X-ray probe and projected images on the screen so that the dentist could explain clearly everything that she saw. Appreciated the explanations and help arranging follow up treatment from the front desk with clear breakdown of insurance coverage etc and what I will end up owing after that.Gave four stars instead of five only because I haven’t my actual dental treatment yet. However I’ve been to quite a few dental practices over the years and I can say so far that I feel pretty comfortable.

Cant recommend this place enough! After a traumatic experience at my previous dentist, I had avoided the dentist for a couple of years until I discovered Dr. Shahdads office. The staff did everything to make me feel as comfortable as possible and made the process as painless as possible. Very happy with my switch to DFW absolute dental!

Dont go here if you need anything major done. I spent a lot of money there only to have serious problems with my teeth. I had a bridge put in on my front upper teeth. It didnt fit right from the start and 4 months ago one tooth broke off right from the bottom. Another tooth is about to come off this bridge in the next day or so. It cost me over $1,200 to put in a new tooth for the first break because my ins. company wouldnt pay a thing, said it was long enough since the first procedure. I imagine the one breaking now will cost the same. Because they didnt fit right all this office did was keep filing down my bottom teeth and the upper ones they put in. They damaged the new ones by filing them down way to much. Also, there is another one that will break off the bridge soon too for the same reason. They cost me a ton of money. Dont go here!

Dr. Shahdad is very attentive to her practice and her patients. She is accessible via phone, which is a rarity these days. We searched desperately for a dentist to do a crown for our daughter after an emergency root canal while she was home from college for winter break. Our old dentist had moved and other dentists could not fit her in. Dr. Shahdad’s staff was very accommodating. They also have excellent follow up. We are very happy with our experience with this practice.

Office stuffs are friendly and professional. Very detailed screening is done; on top of xray, normal HD pictures are taken for almost each teeth, both-sided, hard-to-reach places by a stick-camera. I feel confident with doctors treatment plan and recommendations.

The doctor accommodated us in her busy schedule on a very short notice. We did not wait at all in the waiting room and were promptly served. Love the service and respect we received from her and her staff. Would highly recommend her.

Horrible customer service. No one greets you at the door. When I do get greet which is two minutes later they have no idea if I had a cleaning there before. They tell me I need a deep cleaning and charge me $45 I go back today and they want to charge me $95. No where in my Patient charge schedule say anything about a deep cleaning costing $95. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

Update October 2020: I am still very happy with Dr. Shahdads office. I was initially putting off my routine dental care because I am in the higher risk category for Covid-19 due to problems with my immune system. The staff reassured me and are being very careful to keep the building clean and safe during this pandemic. Only 1 patient is seen at a time, patients and staff wear covers over shoes, patients wash their hands and gargle with antiseptic mouthwash before entering the exam room. They also clean every surface in the room between each patient, it is crystal clear that patient safety is their number one goal. I feel very safe coming here, and am now back on my regular cleaning schedule. If some additional tests or treatments are recommended, they let you know what the cost will be beforehand, so again, I really appreciate that there are no surprises. I am now pushing my mom to become a patient of hers, and I highly recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a dentist.Original Review: I am very happy with my experience with Dr. Shahdad and her office. First of all the office is very clean and quiet. They use cameras and a large screen, so you can see everything that is going on in your mouth, and they explain the x-rays in layman terms. After visiting with the doctor, the hygienist sat with me as long as I needed to answer all of my questions. I do need more work done than I thought, but I could also see exactly what is wrong. They don’t leave you guessing about charges or what your treatment plan is, so there are no surprises which is great at the dentist!

The only absolute thing about this place is how awful it is.I paid up front for a crown, but after many multiple mess-ups on their end regarding billing and sending records and x-rays to the oral surgeon, I decided to go elsewhere to complete the procedure. They refused to refund the money even though the work was never done.

For any type of Dental work one has to visit DFW Dental office at Allen, TX. I am writing this as a Patient since day one when this Dental Office opened.

What a horrible doctor she is. Completely screwed up my fillings & the gum cleaning she did, gave me such a horrible reaction in my mouth that i couldnt eat or drink anything. It caused a horrible bacterial reaction & i required 2 different antibiotics & a checkup with my physician for her misadventures with excessive numbing injections. Avoid this doctor at all cost.
