If i put a business on google Maps I must be registered and certified. You send me a post card with my speacial pin code. Why is it this particular business that has my sensative info allowed to be listed in Google Maps with the wrong address. And why am i giving my sensative information. Your customer service is horrible!!!The other credit bureaus in the United States are easy to work with online and also on the phone.It is impossible call you on the phone and talk to a human being unless possibly we put in our social security numbers. I honestly wouldnt even give this place one star but I had no choice. They have lost or stolen my wife and sons social security and other credentials. They claim the envelope arrived with no information. My wife mailed this envelope double sealed and with a signature required. DO NOT SEND YOUR INFORMATION HERE OR IT WILL DISAPPEAR.
Experian is one of the worse company to deal with, i have been trying to remove fraud Alert from my account for almost 7months, no live person would answer my calls, i drove there they sent me away, saying they dont handle personal matters at their Allen location I mailed in documents as required to the same Allen location as stated online, no progress. they have cost me a lot of losses. i may have to take them to court. I downloaded the mobile app and had no issues. But all of a sudden a credit card I dont even use anymore or have, has been getting membership fees drafted from experian Ive never entered this card info anywhere. My bank has disputed the claim and hopefully all goes well but this place should really be shut down immediately!
There is no way to speak to a live person and JUST to temporarily remove a credit freeze you have to mail in a letter with ALL your credit info (name, SS#, last 2 addresses, PIN id, DL, 2 home bills, and a bank statement). TOTAL WASTE OF TIME... i was directed this way AFTER filling out an online application AND working through all the phone prompts. Ridiculous.
I received an alert asking had I moved and informed that a new address had been added to my account. Trying to remove an unknown address from my account has been impossible.
I subscribed to the monitoring service two years ago, but cancelled a year later. About 4 months after I cancelled the subscription, I realized that Experian was still charging me. So I called and explained the situation and asked for a refund. I was told there would be no refund, because it Doesnt matter if you cancelled, if Experian didnt except the cancellation.Four days later, an overdue debt showed up on my report dropping my score A LOT. Trying to do a cash out at bank but the credit report they pull is 120 points lower than what I pulled online. I was told to contact experience but when I call the number given online it is all animation and at NO POINT DID IT EVER ALLOW ME TO TALK TO A PERSON. I’ve never had such a horrible experience with a credit bureau’s website. I filled out all my information properly and it kept telling me I was missing something. I tried everything I could think of, then they told me I had to mail everything in instead. Judging by the other reviews here, it’s absolutely pointless to try calling too. I have been trying to get into Experian website but after I answer the questions and put my SSN I was kicked out with an oops message. I cannot get anyone on the phone. I did a mail request found there are errors on my report but have not way to get help. One of the errors is a company I never missed a payment and the account is paid and close shows I have been in collection for the last 5 months. They have the power to ruin your credit and no phone number for the public contact them.
Since Ive been on hold now for 35 minutes, waiting to speak to a human, I figured Id use some of this time to share my experience with Experian. My identity was stolen a few weeks ago, and I was fortunate enough to catch onto it after only one account was opened in my name. Went online to freeze my credit report- TranUnion, simple; Equifax, easy; Experian, next to impossible. I have been unable to put a freeze on my credit online, by phone on the automated system, and so far my only option is to MAIL my full name, social security number, a copy of my drivers license, a utility bill, and other sensitive information to Experian in order to get a freeze put in place! Really, Experian??? Im trying to lock this down and you want me to send sensitive information to you by mail now??? Hey, while I am at it, maybe I should put a few signed, blank checks; my credit/debit cards; and my pin numbers into the envelope as well!*Update*So, after 72 minutes I was connected to customer service, who then said I needed to be connected to Fraud. After another 24 minute hold I was connected to someone at the fraud department who, I have to admit, was pretty darned helpful. He was knowledgeable and gave me a lot of good information, and ensured my credit report was frozen as well. For that, I give two stars. Had the hold time been reasonable, Id have given 4 or 5 stars, but 72 minutes before speaking to a human, followed by another 24 minutes before being connected to the correct department is unacceptable in every way imaginable.
Its really one star but Im hoping for the best call me an optimist so far Im not impressed with their level of customer service but I hope it will improve for all I know Ive gone into situations like this and have gotten five stars to a provider. sometimes if you give people a chance they might impress you

Am I living in the 90’s? I have to literally mail physical paper with proof of ID in order to unfreeze my credit? They claim you can accomplish this via phone or online but that is absolutely false. The other 2 credit bureaus are simple and straightforward but experian makes you jump through so many hoops it’s absolutely infuriating. Very shady practices going on here.

It looks like I will have to send them a letter written in cursive with a dip pen on parchment. Or better yet, try Morse Code. This means you may receive three emails a month about issues with your credit and credit balances. No other information is available unless you log in. Upon logging in you may learn that your bank account balance may have changed by $25 that month. Was that worthy of a credit alert? Nope. Just a trick to get you to log in a few times a month.2. You also may not be able to use that online account for credit freezes. That is done on another site.3. The free online account is there not to help you but scare then sell you more Experian services and set up new opportunities for Experian to sell your information to 3rd parties.4. Please dont try to call for any help. Experian has no interest in helping you better understand or use the account. The automated voice system has no person as any option. Every phone option eventually results in a hang-up. It is there to save Experian labor costs, give you automated messages to encourage you to go back online for any answer, sell you more Experian services and automate the cancellation process. I received an email that appeared to be from Experian. However, I do not open unexpected emails from ANYONE if they appear to be suspicious. I attempted to call Experian to verify the validity of the email. I could not get past the recording asking for my social security number????? Lets face it, Experian doesnt do a good job of protecting personal info, so I did not want to enter the number. They had no reason to need my SSN. I was only attempting to verify their email domain and whether the email I received was legit.

There are 4 options given which do not service my needs. There are no options given to help a customer with legitimate needs outside the insufficient 4 options that are offered on the automated looped system. EXPERIAN gets a zero review in performance for assistance and customer service.
Experian put a freeze on my wifes credit, due to a date of birth issue. We are unable to create an account with them and unable to speak to someone over the phone!!!! You can not run a company you can not get a hold of, which has so much control over a person and their families life!!!!

Thought I was purchasing a credit report, to find out later they have been billing my credit card for the past 7 months. When I called to cancel and get a refund they literally laughed and told me to go dispute it with my credit card they dont issue refunds. Great customer Service!!!!

Absolute JOKE! Ive never been so furious with customer support in my life! I have called the contact number which when you look for more contact information Ive found a total of 3 different numbers to call so far. collectively Ive tried talking to someone 7 different times within a 20 minute period. Ive gotten as far as talking to A LIVE PERSON twice and she immediately hung up on me and when asking to speak to a supervisor she forwarded me to a completely different service! I cant chat with anyone online because their closed but yet you can get 1 person who answers the phone. I want a refund of my money RIGHT NOW! This whole thing is a F**KING scam! I would highly suggest just using credit karma which is a completely free service to monitor your credit and tells you ways to fix you credit as well! I was having a good experience until I had to deal with customer service, the fraud department and who ever else I talked to after the 4th, 5th. 6th...7th..8th time.
Im also a victim of identity theft didnt have any issues with the other 2 companies. They want you to pay for service to get a direct telephone number for the fraud department. Ive sent them police reports stating the person who is responsible for the theft. The police are the ones who found my info on her. They keep reopening my disputed account, saying the account was verified accurate. They shouldnt be in business!!!!

I have tried calling 8 times, got a recording each time, after over 10 minutes, waiting on each call, got no where. gave all my information, then they say, can not freeze my account at this time, charged me $10.83 each time, then tried to credit it back. I did the other 2 credit agency no problems at all, did it on line, froze the accounts and, very good companys . Cant get anything done with this company at all, will call the Texas Attorney General next and report all of this terrible service .

How can they be so bad?! They have my name wrong (changed 7 years ago with SSA and all companies) and cant update it, so I cant pass security checks for anyone using Experian information to verify my identity. They provide me with phone numbers that are for private companies you have to enroll with, and when you contact the toll-free number listed online you only receive the automated system which doesnt offer you anything beyond security alerts and security freezes.

Unfortunately, I will not share how to get ahold of a CSR at Experian because it’s no different than any other CSR system.. Very simple. Either way, my ONLY complaint is that they do not investigate inaccurate information.. Your ONLY route to fix fraudulent and inaccurate info on your credit report is by CERTIFIED mail which requires a signature. Online is useless. It may take time and more time to clear something up BUT it’s documented.. and you know by the signature that someone received it.. They don’t want to talk to you just as much as you don’t want to be calling them.
I am asking that the State of Texas Public and Private to no longer have access to my Public Records arbitration was filed years ago against Experian and The Attorney General has problems with Notarized Apostille Documents Authenticated and Validated in Foreign Countries. I have also filed complaints in the U.S. Federal district court in Tacoma along with my wife about Public Records complaints nothing ever got done or resolved
Trying to unfreeze my credit report but they make it so difficult. Wasnt that hard to freeze initially.These credit bureaus should be banned for making money off our personal information. The only Credit Bureau out of the 3 that intentionally refuses to pick up the phone. All i wanted to do was remove my fraud alert. TransUnion and Equifax, i completed over the phone in just 5 minutes. Experian, they force you to send your Bank Statement, Driver License, Utility Bill, and a written Letter just to remove an alert that will end up taking approximately 4 days to clear in the mail. I spent the entire day digging through papers and looking for places to scan and copy documents just for this lazy company. Now they have all my Bank information, and all my personal information. I wouldn’t be surprised if they use that information to commit fraud. That pretty much sums up this company.

Got through to a person who immediately asked for my SSN. Having had my information stolen before there should be an easier way to verify Im who I say I am. So far 12 minutes on the phone holding for someone to answer.
Customer service is non-existent but Experian continues to peddle services regarding your credit. I sent a letter with all proper forms of ID to Experian asking that the security freeze be permanently removed. You cannot reach a person by phone and if you try to temporarily lift the freeze, the online site fails. After receiving my permanent removal request, Experian sent me a letter SIX days later advising the TEMPORARY removal of the freeze - not what I requested at all. Why do you have office hours listed if you are going to operate 100% via the website and voicemail? Learn about real customer service or get out of the business of peddling service. F.
Horrid> No matter what, I couldnt unlock it; spent a day trying to unfreeze my credit report. First the site was down, both via my cell, then via my desktop. Finally got through on a land line after 5.5 hours. Was told by a supervisor, well, you put it on [i.e., the freeze on my account.] The last time I was in the account was 2014; there was no way to get a new link sent to my email address to re-set my password, despite my ability to answer any question going back over thirty years. They wanted $20 to overnight my password [meaning Id get it in 3 days, since it is the weekend], or they said they could send it in 7-10 days. Too late to finance my car.

Horrible company. Removing security freezes was ridiculously difficult and required sending in a physical paper despite having the security freeze pin available and all supporting information.
I have had Experian service for years. Customer service was very good then. The fee went from $9.95 monthly to $19.95 monthly without notification. I called to cancel and held over 1 hour to reach someone, with absolutely no customer service skills. They dont care about my loyalty with them, I felt like a number to them. Its time to look elsewhere for my business. Very disappointed with Experian.

They sent me back a form saying I needed to send them all the information I had just sent them and to clarify something that I explained very thoroughly in a letter attached to my all that information. I have never seen a company with WORSE customer service, signed up for the freeze after ID theft. Every time i need to unfreeze, its a problem and can never reach a person on the phone. If there was a Minus five start, I would not hesitate to give it to them. If you want to screw yourself up, go ahead and sign up with them. My experience with them has been traumatic over and over again. Initially they will talk you into at 5 dollars a month but then all of a sudden the fee increases to 27 dollars a month without any notice and when you try calling them, they say the wait time is 15 minutes but then even after an hour of wait, you cannot get a hold of anyone . I have been trying to cancel my membership with them since December 2nd 2017 . Called several times with long waits but no luck, several emails/ no response . I lost my wallet so I called all 3 credit reporting agencies to put a freeze on my credit report. Everything went smoothly with Transunion - they allowed me to create my own PIN; Equifax provided me with a PIN. But Experian, the automated phone system did not provide a PIN or allow me to create one. According to their website, I have to snail mail a copy of DL, SSN and a utility bill to get a PIN. Ridiculous to MAIL all of that sensitive information when it could be lost or stolen. Come on Experian, how about providing a secure email or fax number. Hey were in the 21st century. . .maybe allow info to be uploaded through your website.
Don’t be fooled it’s not free. Its impossible to talk to a real person in customer service to get a refund.
Worse credit bureau company. Ive tried to get my fraud alert taken off but I cant get a hold of anyone just leave a voicemail and will get back to you as soon as never. Online services are garbage.
Absolutely the WORST customer service EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Just like many other people have tried multiple numbers and all I get is a recording that eventually hangs up on me. All I am trying to do is remove a freeze that I put on my credit file and they are incompetent! Complete waste of time. Do not do ANYTHING with Experian! I would put a negative star if I could!!!!!!!!!!
Calling Better Business Bureaus !!!! I have Multiple Sclerosis and wanted to cancel and the man on the phone advised me not to but I still told him to and ha hung up on me and now no answer. Took advantage of someone w a disability and he knew that I told him. Consumers are ignorant of their credit its laughable at the things im reading in the reviews. Ppl blame the credit bureaus i stead of taking responsibility for their ignorance. Ppl are ignorant at what the credit bureaus do and their processes in order to protect sensitive information. Everything a consumer needs can be done online, but we are too lazy to go through the processes
Signed up for their $1 trial for 7 days, on the 7th day I tried to find their 800 number on line, because my credit card denied the charge and I wanted to go ahead and canceled. Unfortunately I could not find the number and could not get on the website to find a number because they kept requesting an updated credit card number. I decided I would try later, got busy and forgot. Fast forward 16 days later they pushed through a charge and overdrew my bank account. Bank can’t do anything until Experian refunds my money and Experian will not refund my money. Customer service was the worst; I was mad and upset over their unauthorized charges 16 days later and told to calm down..DO NOT TELL A PISSED OFF FEMALE TO CALM DOWN!!!!!
