Mr. Pfeifer was my tutor for the SAT, and he helped me bring my score up 140 points in just around 2 months. He not only taught how to do specific problems, but also strategies for the overall test. His tutoring was very helpful and I feel very happy with the score I got.

This Pandemic has been hard for everyone. My Junior went from the high honor roll to failing most of his classes. He lost all motivation, didnt turn in homework, and slept through most of his Zoom classes, accruing dozens of detentions and well as Fs. We were recommended Shining Students from a friend, and we started with S.S.T. in Feb. 2021 with 3 zoom sessions per week. Dan is a kind and skilled teacher, and by the end of the school year, my son was back to good grades and had much of his spark back. For Senior year, we have already booked S.S.T. to help keep son on track from Day 1 of the school year. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This is now my second year with him tutoring, he is very helpful as well as makes sure you learn the material. He is also very flexible with his time and works with you to create a time that is best fit for you. He is also helpful in all subjects.

I met Dan a few years ago at church. ⛪️. We talked about math tutoring, but I never reached out. This year we connected again on Facebook and Claudia started tutoring.I cannot thank him enough for working with her on math and sometimes reading. Her confidence has soared and she actually likes math now. My son is In 7th grade and 3rd quarter he was struggling with grades and missing assignments. I looked around for tutors and Dan reached out right away. Dan is always very professional and goes beyond what I ever expected from a tutor. He not only helps my daughter with math and English, but he helps her understand the big picture of why her education matters. He explained to her how GPA works and how cumulative GPA works. She is in eighth grade, but when she starts high school, her grades from freshman year will affect her senior year and college acceptance. It really helps her look beyond the day-to-day coursework. He is also capable of explaining things in multiple ways since each student learns differently. I know when my daughter has gotten stuck on something, he has presented it in a new way. Dan was very professional from the beginning. As an adult student returning to school seemed like a daunting task in itself and Dan was wonderful at reassuring and making sure I understood the material. When school was starting to transition to E-learning, I struggled with the formats as well as paying attention to the given videos. When I came in contact with Mr. Pfeifer, he was able to explain things in depth as well as give me advice for future references. I finished my physics course as well as improved my English skills over the summer and im looking forward to a fresh start next year!

What a game changer! My daughter has struggled with math her entire school career. I finally decided to hire a tutor to hopefully stop the struggle and endless hours of math homework. Dan Pfeifer came into our home at the beginnging of the summer and worked with my daughter one on one to help her understand math a bit better. This past week she took the STAR Math test and is now above grade level. I never thought that would ever be possible. Well worth the investment, I would highly recommend Dan because of his patience, understanding and drive to make his students succeed.

Mr. Pfeifer is an excellent tutor! Mr. Pfeifer works with both of our children. Our daughter is currently in high school Algebra II and Physics I and Mr. Pfeiffer explains concepts and makes understanding easy for her. She has struggled with math and science concepts in the past and under Mr. Pfeifer’s tutoring she has overcome her difficulties and now is receiving A’s on quizzes and tests.Our son is currently in Calculus II in college and Mr. Pfeifer takes a lot of time preparing and analyzing his homework/problems.
