I have been going here for the last 4 years and not once have I had a bad experience. I love this place and the staff is very friendly. My nails always turn out perfect. I’m not sure what these bad reviews are about. But I will forever go here.

The guy working there did an amazing job with my pedi. He sure can massage a foot. Also no wait. Good service and quality work.

Went to this place once and will never go back. The staff is unfriendly. Don’t say hi when you walk in. Don’t talk to you during your service. Don’t thank you. 2 days after my gel fill my nails were chipped and the polish was peeling. I walked in to get it fixed and they told me “we don’t have time you’ll have to wait an hour” I walked out and got it fixed elsewhere.

Kevin is amazing at what he does. He pays close attention to detail and I am more than satisfied every time. My gel acrylic nails don’t pop off like they have in the past when others have done them.

Pedi was done okay, but when it was time for my manicure I was asked if I wanted acrylic or natural nail. Mistakenly I said natural. I IMMEDIATELY said acrylic fixing my own mistake. Lady walked away I was thinking maybe she went to get things she needed. When she came back she proceeded to do my nails I noticed there was no acrylic so I asked what she was doing that I came for acrylics. She then said nothing and looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and see how these nails came out after all I went to get my nails done and I didn’t want problems or bad vibes getting my nails done. The whole time the lady criticized my nails on how short they were and how it’s so hard to do manicure on short nails after that I became annoyed because obviously I didn’t want my natural nail to begin with when she was done i noticed my nails were so poorly done I just wanted to get out of there complete waste of money as I also took nails off same day.

Horrible. Unprofessional and under qualified. They will lie and tell you they can do a set you show them when they can’t and over charge you. The chunkiest misshapen most crooked set I’ve ever seen.The lady was texting on her phone the whole time no lotion was offered and it’s the most I’ve ever paid for literally just a regular set. Very rude. Do this do that .

Terrible. My daughter got acrylics done from the owner. Not only did she stop doing my daughters nails to answer/send a text every 5 minutes, she never even said hello! Her nails are uneven and extremely sloppy. I dont know why I keep giving this place chances. They have lost me as a customer! Save yourself time and money and go to one of the many other nail salons in the area. This place is terrible!

I was running a bit behind that day so I called in advance and asked if it was still ok to come the person on the phone said come on in. I was grateful at first, then towards the end the owner was shaming people for being late to her other clients. Was not impressed and showed lack of professionalism. I would’ve rescheduled if need be. Let’s just say don’t plan on ever going back. Not worth it.

Pedicure was ok. Even if I asked for not doing a scrub bc I just needed a hard work on my soles, she did scrub to my feet and was working on my soles maybe 30seconds per each ;) so.. disappointing experience. But nails were polished perfectly.If we talk ab menicure... so I usually do no chip manicure by myself but this time my nails were to short and I really dont like working on that short nails. So bc of my laziness I decided to do my no chip manicure at Star Vision Nail Salon. And my nails looked like that time,when I was polishing my nails for the first time in my life!!!! Really! I totally dont recommend. However in total with a tip i payed 80$!P.S. such a dusty and dirty place that I statrted to think of if they sterilize pedicure accessories... really. I will attach my feet nails, but i already took of my no chip on my hands ;).

I went to this nail salon today for the first time. Kevin was amazing. He did a fabulous job on my nails! I couldn’t be happier. I definitely recommend him!

Worst nail salon ever. They do not care about their customers. I went in on 2/3 and got a full set and was told to try the dip. After sitting in the chair for 3 hours while the nail tech continuously re-did their work because it wasnt sitting right I was charged $55. I appreciate the time he took to make sure it looked good but exactly one week later 1 nail just popped off. I thought weird? And put some nail glue on it and went about my day. Then the next day 2 more popped off. WHAT! That never happens. Here I am 10 days after getting a full set and I am missing 6 nails! I just went in today 2/13 to have them fix their mistake. I was greeted at the door and told to sit. I sat and waited 15 minutes without anyone saying anything. I left. Their was a man sitting in a chair drinking water, another lady on her phone and people just putting away nail polish. They were not busy! I am a very patient person and gave them the opportunity to fix their mistake before taking to this review but they lost a costumer forever. I will never step foot into this nail place ever again. $55 for nails that dont even last a week! Total rip off!

I would give less than one star if i was able to!!!My daughter and her two friends went to this place to get a full set of acrylic nails. They were expecting to pay $23 (as quoted online) and apparently the color they choose was a “no chip” color, which is more expensive. The nail tech didn’t bother telling the girls the “no chip” color they choose was more money until they were completely done. He told them their total was $45...that’s a far cry from $23.When we (the parents) heard how much they paid we were shocked and irritated. We came back to the store and insisted on a refund, because they completely took advantage of these girls.They argued with us instead of trying to find a solution that would satisfy everyone. The customer service here is awful and they are RUDE! Don’t come to this place!!! Save yourself the aggravation! Go somewhere else!

Made an appointment with my sister. I ended up having to wait 25 minutes for them to start me & my sister ended up wait an hour. She got dip nails & the guy took SO LONG to do it & the white color she picked out ended up pink. No money off or anything. Will never go back.

RUDE..I went into this nail salon, and was serviced by an older woman...not sure if it was the manager or owner. This person from the beginning of the service showed that she did not want to service me by making facial expressions and her whole general attitude. Made me feel uncomfortable but she had already started so stayed. I did not like that once she was done putting on the acrylic tips (has not even put nail polish or anything) told me to pay now...I was taken back, because I expected her to finish the service and then charge me, not while in the middle of the nail appointment, I took it as an insult, why do I have to pay in the middle of the appointment? Why not charge me at the beginning if you want to get paid before the service is done. All the while she was doing my nails she was quiet and like I said had facial expression she was not happy... while drying my nails I could see she was taking care of another customer and I could hear and see her attitude had changed, she was smiling and making conversation with that customer... I was waiting for my friend to be done with her nails and while I waited, the customer my nail tech was servicing was done with her and I could see THAT customer was charged at the end of her session....In the end... the nails were not great either..so yeah i was very disappointed about the rude service and the end result.

Terrible. Went in the first time..asked for a full set gel.. ombre..girl said they didnt have the purple i showed her a pic of..fine..pink/ white it is. She knicked and scratched me. Entire thing was uneven and sloppy. My nails wernt even the same length. They were so thick on top it looked like she glued jelly beans to my nails.FineShe told me to come back tomorrow.. but not without telling me that i should have told her sooner..which i did..she kept telling me she needed to shape them..no.Next day..i return. I decide that since they have to come completely off amyways..im not really happy with this pink so i want something else..the new woman tells me i need to pay for a color change...whatever..she also..knicks my skin..burns me..their demeamor is rude..they do not listen they are rude.At the end..its $15 for the color change...after the nails needed to come off after their screw up anyways. I am literally red about several nails and sore. Ridiculous.NEVER AGAIN

I go every three weeks...i have nothing but great service. They always treat me great. I drive a 1/2 hour just to go to them. They where the only ones around that did my nails perfectly.

I had gone to this nail salon when it first opened a few years back. I was unimpressed with the owners attitude then and it hasnt changed. I went back there earlier this week and it looks like it has not been cleaned since it first opened either. My nail tech Alma was so nice and did a great job but I will probably never go back. Very dirty and very unprofessional!

This is the worst Nail experience I have ever had. The manager was so rude and she lied to me, insisting that I was late and that was the reason I had to wait for 50 minutes with my feet sitting in the water until it got cold, before they even started the pedicure. I am home now even though I waited under the dryer for 15 minutes three of my nails are ruined and I have to take off all of the polish. I spent over $200 because I brought my daughter and two of her friends and I talked to the manager and asked her to give me a discount because I had such a bad experience and she was absolutely not caring and gave excuses for everything. The woman doing my nails, was kind but there was nothing she could do working for such unprofessional and dishonest people.

The customer services was not good. Nails look fine, but they charged me a different amount after the card went through. They did not try to mend the situation. They just argued. Not happy. I will not come back.

I would love to be able to put - 5!!! This place is horrible! They have horrible customer service. The lady who seems to own it is super rude and racist. The place is filthy. Its not sanitary at all. They do not clean the tools just reuse them on the next person. Also I had gotten a no chip pedi two days ago and it is already chipping and it is not from anything Ive done. I DO NOT recommend this place. It looks super fancy and awesome but once inside you will realize how gross it actually is.

The customer service at this place is horrible! I sent my daughter with $40 dollars for a $30 pedi, which the remaining money was to go towards a tip. The lady at the counter insisted that my daughter only gave her $30 dollars, and not $40. When my daughter tried to explain that she gave $40 dollars they didnt believe her. I called to tell them that I did send her with $40, which I know is true because I had taken money out of the ATM, and it only dispenses 20s, but they didnt believe me! Why would I lie about 10 dollars!??? Plus, part of that change was going towards a tip so its not like we were trying to lie to get a bunch of money back from them! Also, in speaking to one of my cousin about our experience she told me that she had gone there several weeks ago, and they charged her $45 dollars for a $25 dollar fill. This place is shady! Go there if you want your money taken from you.

While everyone is very nice, the last few times Ive come in with my cousin our nails have been chipping within the first 48 hours. Pretty disappointing considering how much we enjoyed coming here

I having been coming here for a while and each time my experience has worsened. My no chip manicure chipped within an hour of coming home today. My family came from out of town for a relaxing experience instead we were met with rude and unprofessional staff that argued back. I will not be returning here.

While the lady who worked on my fiancé’s nails did great, a miscommunication on price and a refusal to correct a mistake or even try to ease the misunderstanding ruined the experience for us. We will not be coming back!

Our group had a good experience. We were a little slow getting in the door. The lady that did my nails, Mandy, did a WONDERFUL job, probably the best manicure Ive ever had!!

So this is a long-term honest review after going for about 7-8 appointments i think. And my takeaways were there are 2 main things no denying in this place. 1; the decor is beautiful and 2: They actually do a phenomenal job on my nails every-time. So sad i had to stop going because there were many problems.- Their pricing quotes each time is the the stock market it changes every-time and all i get is fills.- Ive seen them yell at their customers (unacceptable no matter how wrong/stupid they are being its bad business)- Im a guy idk if maybe that it but i honestly like to get my nails done almost every week. And they seem to have an attitude about that, very confused as to why?? That literally makes no sense I get solid colors every time; thats very simple and if i get a design its trivial. But honestly i can come as often as i want and that shouldnt be a problem.- I have paid 65 dollars sometimes for a FILL in!! with no special rhinestones, designs, etc. thats absolute bannanasAll and all these guys do a great job my nails were so good sometimes that damn near looked real but its not worth the changing price and other issues.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE OWNER AND MANAGER WHO JUST SO HAPPEN TO BE THE SAME PERSON LYNNI have been coming here for almost a year I love the place kevan does a great job. But my experience with them the last time was absolutely terrible. I called and made an appointment for the morning and specifically told the woman if I got off of work in time I would try to make it in before they closed before I could even finish what I was saying the lady hung up on me, mid sentence! Whatever though I made my appointment I was just happy to be getting my nails done. So I show up at 9am (when they open) and I see the person I made an appointment for working on someone’s nails, WHAT! I made an appointment! So I talk to some lady I never seen there before or maybe just never noticed. And she said I was talking to her on the phone and I never made an appointment. Um.. yes I did. She never even wrote down my appointment in the book. I had a busy weekend planed and didn’t have any other time I could go in. So I walked out. Pissed off at this point. Tried to have a good day with my F***** up nails. Called Sunday asked if kevan was free and of course he wasn’t I complained about my experience the day before. It was the same lady I talked to before :/. She started arguing with me! And hung up on me! I called Mack and asked to speak with the manager she said she was the manager. I asked for the owner apparently she was the owner to. LYNN WAS HER NAME WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN MY LIFE! I will never go back if that’s how the owner treats her customers. It’s not cheap to get your nails done I spend a lot there each time I go!

Terrible service! The lady was doing my nails and was distracted because she was having conversation with her co-workers. She would stop doing my nails to talk and she was rough while handling my nails. When I told her they were wrongly shaped she started complaining to the customers next to me and her co-workers. She would give me dirty looks and complain about having to fix my nails. Would NEVER recommend to anyone !!

Worst nail salon in McHenry County. Second time visiting and second time not happy. Rude nail techs. Over priced. Today my tech literally argued with me about me complaining about him not putting fill in areas that had chipped out and about my color choice as he was about to paint my nails the wrong color. The place looks great, but THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!The woman that greets you when you get there is very rude, doesnt smile at you just says what you need choose color and nothing else. She seems to be the owner. Anyways I went in there for a quick mani and pedi and the first person that did my pedi was friendly and and definitely did a good job. Then I moved to the mani where the second lady seem like she didnt even want to do it didnt say anything the entire time. I asked her to trim my nails because they were extremely long and they grow very fast and sometimes I cant make int to fix them because of my schedule. Well she started to file my nails didnt ask what shape I wanted and then I asked her to file them more and the gave attitude. Even though I asked her from the beginning to go short as much as possible. I wish I could have recorded her reaction. She literally sighed so loud like a child and really now I have to do it all again and again I repeated myself for the third time I asked for short nails. If I could give a negative star I would. Hopefully they read this and they take it into consideration not to ruin someones enjoyment of getting their nails done and change their attitudes. I would no recommend this place. I never return to this awful place.

Literally the wosrt place i have been too for pedicure my toddler would probably had done a better job she did not clean the polish she just wiped it w her nail, i came back to get it fixedand she just put a top coat and said that she didnot notice anything wrong very rude and unprofessional never coming back!!

Worst service ever! My full set didnt even last a week! Then I got a fill and a nail broke off in 2 days! I called and the lady said it was my fault I dont understand how I wake up with a broken nail and she was laughing and being very rude on the phone and told me they never have a problem with costumers and thats all my fault and basically calling me a liar! This place has horrible service and very unprofessional. I went in for a fill and the lady who i was seated with didnt even ask what i wanted so i had to tell her how i wanted my nails shaped because she was too busy having a conversation with the lady in the first chair and completely ignoring me. As she was filing i noticed they were crooked and completely uneven only to have her snap on me and say it was my fault. When i showed the manager and asked if they looked even to her she started shouting at me and accused me that i asked for that, so i asked if someone else could take over. She then took me to her chair and very rudely said i shouldnt tell them how to do their job. Now here is my issue, i wouldnt have to tell her how to do her job if she was doing it correctly and even in the first place. As a professional she should be able to at least give a even set of nails, she argued the whole time and proceeded to talk in her language which is beyond unprofessional. I left with completely uneven ugly nails and treated horribly. Its a beautiful place but run by rude unprofessional people.

I had the worst experience today. I took my FIVE year old daughter in with my Mom, for a girl’s day. I told them we wanted 2 pedicures and just a polish for my daughter, but that she wanted to sit with us in the chairs. We had previously went there and they put water in the tub for her and let her put her feet in, with a pillow behind her to help with height. The guy came up to the chair and said, “She’s too short. This isn’t going to work.” At that point I looked at him and just told him what they did the last time. Long story short, he made her feel uncomfortable and was sensing his crappy attitude. She tried talking to him and he didn’t even answer her. She’s FIVE. She ended up crying and running over to me. Didn’t want anything done. He ruined what was supposed to be a good day. So thanks dude. You suck. I will never go there again.

Worst experience in a nail salon yet. I will NOT be back and I hope you dont either.I havent had a mani/pedi in 3 months and really looked forward to it. Got off work early and have 2 hrs till I had to get my son from school.Arrived and signed in. Told them I wanted a mani/pedi. Wrote in on the sign in sheet.The chairs were all full but I was the only one waiting. So I thought I would wait. 20 min later I finally get sat for the pedi. The girl did a great job and my feet were winter bad. I thought for a moment I would next time make an appt and have her as a regular.She completes and then says good bye. I said I need a mani too. So she seats me for a mani. Guy in the middle area tells her no and to reseat me by him with no manicurist. She takes on another client. I seat and the guy says You changed your mind. I said NO I always said I want a mani/pedi. He smirked back and continued on his client. I made a call. Then a lady in the first chair states someone will be with you shortly. I said I hope so. (I had now been there over 1 hr & only received a pedi)The salon got busy just after me. I look around and notice people after me are getting manicures... but not me.Then a new customer comes in and asks if they do eyebrow waxing. They state YES but there is a wait. The lady says no thanks and leaves. Then two workers in the front 2 chairs (a lady and a guy) they start to make fun very loudly of the customer that just came in. Then pulling in the customers they are working on to also agree that the lady was crazy to think she could come in and get her eyebrows waxed timely. After 5 min of that, I decided to pay for the pedi and leave.So my nice relaxing time turned out to me taking much to long with little result and my blood pressure to the roof. I then went to another salon near my home and have a great experience. They werent busy and they did my nails and did my eyebrows, and added nice flowers to my toes all for $26. They were nice to me and my son (who i had to bring w/as I was now running late).I wish I read these reviews prior to going as I would have not. I am grossed out by how unclean they are. Also the rudeness comments are so true as I also witnessed it. I will be blasting this message on many sites and will call the owner in the morning but I am sure they dont care or they would have done something about it. They have 2 toxic employees that sit in the front 2 chairs. They need to be fired for their elite attitudes, being slow, and treating customers awful.Owner if you read this you best do something about it or you will be out of business by summer. When you first opened it was a nice place. Also consider the many job openings you have are for a reason.Clean house both with employees and cleanliness.

I got gel nails and they came off in a week and broke 3 of my nails down to the skin. I have since heard the the nails coming off has happened to at least 3 other people. I was rushed out even though I went first thing in the morning.

Ive been going to this place for about a year, but Ive stopped going since that last two times Ive gone, my toe nails have looked horrible once the polish has come off. They look cracked and brittle. This makes me believe that multiple nail polish bottles have become contaminated since I got different colors both times. I will not be going back after this.
