I appreciate every aspect of this business! The owner Robert Hines is very knowledgeable and honest. I’ve been doing business with him for years and can’t imagine going anywhere else. He and his staff are very friendly and professional too. He sells high end products but services all brands out there. Thank you for consistent excellent customer service.

I could not be more pleased with the repair service at Sun Sew Vac. Recently I took in my mothers 30 year old serger for repair. Although the owner advised me that it was unlikely that it could not be restored to service because of its condition, he none the less took up the challenge. Fortunately, he was able to get it running again. I am grateful to him for his perseverance.

Sew great to find this business!My Kenmore sewing machine works great after service by Robert.I worried that I would have to replace the machine because the presser foot tensioner broke, and Sears doesnt really exist anymore. But Sun Sew Vac fixed that AND cleaned 40 years of gunk in it. The machine sews like a dream and is remarkably quiet.My only concern was that they had the machine for 3 weeks before I called to ask out it. The service was completed 3 days later.Thank you, Sun Sew Vac!

Family owned business and the only place to go to get a Miele vacuum! I have had Dyson handhelds and the roller ball canister and it just pushed around dirt and dust and was a pain to empty. Growing up my mom had a Miele, and I would volunteer to vacuum. So had to return to that quality of cleaning and went and visited Bob Hines.He asked me about my vacuum needs and walked me through his available products. Even letting me test drive them. Happily walked out (actually he carried it out to my car) with a pretty new canister vacuum. Super happy with the customer service, purchase and will definitely be returning for future purchases! I am disappointed that you could not be bothered to update your site with your new days and hours of operation. After driving to your store during your website’s posted hours to find it closed, I decided I’d skip supporting this local business and order what I need on line.

Expert telephone service to help me buy a machine in my price range (cheap) over the phone. Im a professional seamstress, but I havent bought a home machine in decades, and I really didnt need to look at things, I just needed to pick one, pay for it, and curbside pickup. They handled my questions flawlessly and my payment easily, and had my machine set up at no extra charge when I came for curb side pickup. Most sew and vac stores still excel in customer service, but I enjoyed the reminder nonetheless. I just moved to the East Coast, and Sun Sew Vac will me my permanent sewing store.

Took our vacuum to Sun Sew Vac for a second opinion. They quickly assessed the problem and repaired saving us loads. They take the time to do repairs right. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Sun Sew Vac for 30+ years. I have purchased a few vacuum cleaners and a sewing machine there and have had them serviced and repaired over the years. The service has always been professional and timely. The owner recently went out of his way to provide me with a temporary fix for my sewing machine so I could continue to use it while he ordered a part. Highly recommend.

I live in Bethesda but this store is worth the trip. Owner was helpful, responsive and repair was completed quickly and at reasonable cost. He also helped with accessories. Wonderful store and owner!

Where do I start? Robert, the owner is honest, upfront and an absolute pleasure to work with! My older Pfaff had some issues and he jumped right in to work on the machine! In addition, we did purchase a new Pfaff and Robert made the process easy and incredibly smooth! I can’t recommend Sun and Sew Vac more! If you’re looking to buy a new sewing machine or just have yours serviced, look no further! This is the best!

Very helpful group! I bought my new Pfaff seeing machine and the owner was happy to explain all the features that it offers. Ive been very happy with my Pfaff as well as the customer service! I like going to mom and pop stores, you get great customer service! Robert lives up to this, and he is very knowledgeable.Whenever my vacuum is in for repair or servicing it is always returned quickly. Nice owners.

If I could give zero stars I would. Sun sew VAC ate MY MONEY. I took my babylock there because it was making a wierd sound. The white guy at sun sew vac assured me he could get rid of the sound. after keepiny my machine for MONTHS It was returned with the sound still there and I was charged a pretty penny. Eventually I found a local who was not only able to get rid of the sound but also picks up and drops off! ... Please do not go to sun sew and vac I have called several times for a refund and have been completly ignored so I feel all I can do is write this honest review.

The only place I trust for service of my Vintage Singer Sewing Machines. My new Pfaff is amazing. Super durable and easy to use.

I do not recommend due to turn around time and price. I dropped off my machine 21 DAYS before I got it. its an interesting story so There is a local guy who repairs sewing machines near me my sewing machine has an annoying squeek so I took it to the local guy he tried but could not get rid of it. So I took it to sun sew vac (which charges literally twice as much as the local guy) and I was assured by Robert that they are a repitable store with the skill for my challenge. However, after 21 days I pick up the machine and it is JUST As loud as before. I find myself wondering what were they doing for 21 days? I fully accept that perhaps the sqeek will never go away BUT Sun sew Vac is quite pricy and I really wish they would have given me a partial refund as the sqeek is something they cant fix.Also the turn around time and limited hours is crazy! FOR AS much as they charge id expect speed or convience...i originally gave the first guy I took my sewing machine to a 3/5 review BUT after my experience with sun sew vac he gets a 4! He is JUST As inconvient and also unable to fix sqeek but he didnt charge me an ARM and a leg for it.

A throwback family owned vacuum store with great service!

My family has been going to Sun Sew Vac for more than 20 years because its a great small business that stands behind its products and work. Robert - the owner - has been in business for decades and his knowledge is the top in the industry. Just this weekend, my fiance and I were able to buy our first Miele vacuum and it only made sense to go to Sun Sew Vac. We couldnt have asked for more from Joe as he was extremely knowledgeable about our options and we will be coming here for any repairs (but we bought a Miele so it shouldnt need much!)

Excellent customer service! Purchased Miele vacuum over the phone. Robert unboxed it, assembled it and had it ready to pick up that day. He gave me a demo too when I arrived to pick up vacuum and loaded in my vehicle for me! Couldnt have been easier. Highly recommend!

Not all PFAFF certified dealers are the same! Before a move planned for early this year, I took my Performance 5.0 to get serviced and cleaned at a shop in northern Florida in early December. After four weeks, it was time for the move and I had to get my machine back without completing the ‘service’. Before I packed up the machine for the move, I turned on the machine only to discover it did not work at all! I had so much else on my plate at the time, I just resolved to take it back to Sun Sew Vac (where I originally purchased the machine) once I got back into Virginia so that they could take a look. They patiently listened to my very long and negative story about the Florida store and took a fresh look at the machine. Long story short, Sun Sew Vac sent my machine back to PFAFF and made the case to get my machine replaced with an upgraded model! I was so happy with their professionalism and prompt customer service that I ended up purchasing a Coverlock 3.0. Now I’m happily stitching away on both machines and will NOT blindly trust the PFAFF website to refer me to a quality certified dealer. I will go out of my way to have my machines serviced at Sun Sew Vac exclusively!
