Ive been going to Izalia for a couple of months now and have to say I am so pleased with the results. When you hit middle age, hormones go wacky, and you can become as self conscious about your facial and body hair as you were as a teenager. I could not keep up with the sudden growth on my chin (so embarrassing!) that I was going for waxing or threading every two weeks. I have been getting lasered in McLean VA for 2 years, but recently moved into the area. I was attracted to the convenience of this location. They are right on Rt 1 in between Potomac Yards & Old Town, theres plenty of street parking and a drive way to use before 5 PM.Most laser spas have groupons, living socials, or some type of promotion to bring people in, but from my research I found nothing for this spa.When you walk in its decorated like a bachelorette pad, its very welcoming and homey. My consultation was about 40 minutes long complete with an informative talk about what laser hair removal is and does. Then we moved onto prices....$1000 is steep for 5 sessions for a medium area, it just is. (Thats the package deal). Especially when you consider most sources cite 6-8 treatments for results. The prices are all on the website so theyre transparent. But theres no deals, no promotions. (Not any that really make the place competitive with other spas)This location does offer a forever guarantee- which if youre like me, understand that most laser hair removals guarantee youll be hairless eventually but youre not, and then youre coming back for touch ups every so often forever! In this regard this salon is different. If youre willing to shell out the cash for the 5 session package, + 3 more individual treatments (at 40% off each) then you hit their magic 8 number and for the rest of your life you get that area treated for FREE.So like other reviews, I say do the math. I know, despite what any technician says, laser hair removal does not cause permanent hairless skin for me. So a life time of 1 hour visits every few weeks could be worth the hefty upfront price tag.If I was staying in Alexandria Id go for it. But since Im not I will end up choosing a salon that has 6 treatments for $500 via groupon etc and pay $80-$90 for touch ups until I move again! (I will most likely move before I spend anything near $1000+ that would get me to the magic 8 sessions that promise free touch ups)The manager was so nice and informative. I did not meet the woman that actually does the lasering.
