Good Place to see flight takeoff

Nice and quite place for outdoor picnic and family get together. Along with Sailing Marina and boat rentals.

Very good at what it does: Provides river access for small sailboats and provides minimal services for same, i.e., restrooms, snack bar, small gear store.Also very good locale for picnics, (when its not 95 degrees).

Nice place to relax, also near the Mt. Vernon trail

One of the BEST SPOTS in DC! Unfortunately, due to COVID, they just told me theyve decided not to open for public kayak/boat rentals at all for the remainder of 2020. Ignore the website, its not up-to-date. I spoke with a person at their office today and all rentals are closed for 2020.

Great views and plenty of shade

Near Reagan Airport. So you get to see planes arrive & depart. Nice place to get a shot of nature and relax. I arrived by bicycle. But, parking is free for non- boaters.Burger place on-site is still closed, boat shop is closed, bathrooms where open, now closed.

If you like to get on water, even the Potomac River is good. (I came from Lake Michigan and Lake Superior in the midwest, Chicago so I adjusted.) Sailing here is great. You can get lessons, rent or dock, sometimes eat! Closest and best to DC.

Excellent location, friendly staff and instructors, and friendly boating community. Amenities and food on site, ample parking, and a quick sail to DC or Old Town Alexandria. Highly recommended.

Nice place to picnic and watch planes take off from DCA.

It is a cool spot because the pretty boats are there with a nice view if the airport and Marylands waterfront with its new buildings and the Woodrow Wilson Bridge too. People sail in peddle boats they rent and there is a restaurant on the water front to dine at and catch the great views with a grassy park area surrounding to walk around with a clean bathroom close by. Easy access to George Washingtons parkway with all the wonderful views of the water front.

Went to marina for a Scout BSA and Sea Scout event. Marina is. I’ve and clean and easy to find a parking. Restaurant was “closed for the season” but looks like it’s been emptied out for sometimes. Marina store was still open and restroom by it was nice and clean compared with restroom near the launch ramp and boat storage. Due to the marina’s location close to DCA, there were significant jet noise overhead but if you like water and jet taking off from DCA, it was great!

Came here to rent stand up paddleboards yesterday. Staff was friendly and attentive, got us out on the water very quickly. Plenty of space to roam. Got beers at the marina after, where they had a surprisingly nice selection.

I had a great experience with Washington Sailing Marina! I recently brought my boat here for a haul out to perform some maintenance. We had some unexpected issues come up with our project, and Jeff, the GM, and Christian, the service manager, really went out of their way to help get us back on track - ordering parts, giving us a ride to West Marine, and rearranging their schedule to give us the extra time we needed on the lift. And all with a reasonable price tag and a friendly attitude. By the way, the boat is a powerboat, which they now accept for service in addition to sailboats! If youre in the DC area I cannot recommend them highly enough for marine services.

An excellent marina with highly competent staff. These folks will make sure your time on the water is enjoyable and safe. With a surprise lightening storm approaching they called me while I was sailing and let me know they were sending a rescue boat out to get me back - very nice. They have Flying Scots, Hobie Waves, Butterfly’s and kayak paddle boards. There is also a great restaurant on the grounds.

Horrible! i wrote an email 4 days in advanced stating i wanted to rent a sailboat they quickly got back to me stating that I just had to go in and i DID NOT have to make a reservations. I went in today just to find out that you should make a reservation and that its very hard to rent a boat if u had not reserved it. Also their website is very confusing and does not make anything clear.

Good marina, havent tried the food yet. Its a nice little marina. The staff have always been friendly each time I went. A good place to rent small boats and get out. Be aware of their long shallow channel, the hydrilla trap for all short cutters and the small but not insignificant obstructions... theyll tell you about them and they are on the charts. Just understand your going to have fun returning against a north wind without a motor.

This is the old Indigo restaurant. Just went there today with my wife and our niece. This place seems like a well kept secret. Its basically a burger joint but excellent food. Plus its on the water and you can see the planes taking off from Reagan Airport. Places like this are usually super expensive but I didnt think it was that pricey. Burgers are about $10-$12. They also serve wine and beer and it would be a nice place to take your wife and enjoy the afternoon with some wine and food. The place itself is pretty similar in appearance to any fast food place like Chipotles or Five Guys. Tables indoor or on the deck. I saw families nearby riding bikes or fishing. Very peaceful. I hope it doesnt become too popular. LOL.

Great spot to get out on the water so close to downtown. The location has its challenges for sailors, but that will make you a better sailor!

Nice place. I really recommend Craft chocolate with Rum Amaretto.Delicious.

Inconsistent.. some chips had no salt..some orders had too much.. seasoning was absent on rosemary order. Bathrooms were awful - no door latch on stalls and outer doors were propped open, no trash cans, or even light over one if the two stalls. Prepackaged desserts are sold without ingredients or allergy warnings. Location and good shakes are not enough to make up for these problems. I hope management can turn these things around....
