More like a PRC authorized chop shop!They stole 2 cars that were donated to The Studio of Hope Corporation from apts located at 5601 Gibson Blvd.The manager of the property Lily Pineda contacted Acme to tow our vehicles off of the premises, in violation of NMSA 47-8-36(A)5&7 diminuation of services. It is illegal for a landlord to remove ANY tenant property from the premises, without a court order, NMSA 47-8-16 waiver of rights PROHIBITED, make any addendum to the lease that waives a UORRA statute or civil right unconscionable.Acme could be a co-conspirator to this larceny and the dozens of other victims that have been extorted by this towing business.(FYI: THE PRC ONLY SETS THE MAX. PRICE YOU CAN CHARGE FOR TOWING, NOT THE MIN; AND CONSENTUAL TOWING IS DEREGULATED/NEGOTIABLE PRICE FOR TOWING)

It started out as a bad experience because my vehicle wasnt in my name and the original owner is deceased. So i ran into a few issues, but mike was cool. He told me what i needed and i got my car back without being rummaged through and that means a lot to me. Thanks so much!

Our family was traveling thru Albuquerque when our truck broke down on the side of the freeway towing a 32’foot travel trailer. It was late at night. Acme came to the rescue. They were there in 30 minutes and towed us to the RV park. DART was friendly and professional. He was a great help in a bad situation. He also gave us the name of the auto shop where his dad works to fix our truck. It was a rough night but Dart made it a little easier with his patience and kindness. I would definitely recommend ACME. PS. The green chili burger was amazing. Your California customers appreciate the hospitality.

Friendly staff while dealing with a bad situation.

I went in next day, at no fault of my own, because an apartment complex decided to call less than 48 hours of my vehicle being abandoned by a friend. I then came the following day it was towed. Because I found out at 8pm. That my car was taken in. And so when I got there at 4 pm(not even24 hours) had passed. And they charged me the entire fee. Didnt care about the circumstances at all.

After waiting for almost 7 hours for Duggars Towing, ACME Towing came to my rescue. The gentleman who helped me was very nice and courteous.

My father had his 4-wheel truck towed by this company. The driver had problems unloading the truck from the wench. End result is a blown transmission and company will not take responsibility for it. Very poor service!

The people that work at the desk are very rude and unprofessional. If you have to do any kind of business here expect to be treated awful and as well as shout your personal information across office.

As dangerous as their drivers like to drive, I wouldn’t trust them to safely tow my car. Those trucks are way too big to be going about 15 mph over. Especially if the driver is inattentive.

LookPrices are outrageous. The woman who worked the front desk was very helpful and explained each and every charge. Yes I understand that this is a business and that nothing is for free but when you end up paying $400++ when you car was only there from Sunday to Tuesday that is robbery. This is why so many people end up loosing their car, with the hourly wage here in NM being so low how can anyone get a head. Its hard when you need your car to go to work to make money so take care of yourself and your family so of course when a company has such a vital piece of what you need to survive they hike up the price cause theres nothing we can do about it other than fork over every penny.

Acme showed up 30 minutes quicker than promised. The driver was very polite and friendly. He towed my truck from Albuquerque to Edgewood, NM. Once we dropped my truck at the mechanic, the driver offered to take me home as well since I had no ride. That was above and beyond and greatly appreciated. I will recommend Acme to everyone from this point forward.

Guy at counter was rude. Seemed angry. He even slammed the door. Guy at trailer in the back was very helpful and more friendly.

They were happy to tow my car after it was broken into and damaged the steering wheel so I couldnt drive it. I bought a trailer to bring it home payed 250.00. Then when I ask for a little help they offered to charge me for another tow to push it on my trailer. I called AAA.

Originally placed a call with NM towing but Acme was dispatched. Arrived when they said they would and driver called me when he was 5 minutes out. Had the pleasure of working with Nick who took care of my vehicle. Since its a low height vehicle he was diligent and used 2 x 4s to help get the car up the ramp, I usually bring my own with me since this isnt usually the case and appreciated the extra step he took to do this. Ended up having an issue with availability at the garage I was taking it too as well and ended up having to bring it back to my house. Nick worked with dispatch so I wouldnt have to pay double, which was great! Would recommend!

They have the best drivers

My 1/2 ton truck was recovered on the top of nine mile hill after being stolen a few nights ago. Acme towing was the on call tow company for the day as the truck was missing the 2 left side wheels. The area was soft sand and a bit hard to get to. I decided to go to the scene myself to see the damage. When I arrived, I saw a standard tow vehicle buried in the sand up to the frame. It appeared the driver tried to move to the downside of the hill and got stuck. A not so smart move to begin with given the terrain. Fortunately for the driver, I arrived in a 3/4 ton diesel with a winch, and with some trial and error was able to pull them out of the sand. I will say again, I was able to rescue them, or they would STILL be buried. During the trial and error time, my wife and I were digging around their truck, crawled under it, around it and did what we could to try and speed that recovery up. Both the driver and trainee of that truck stood and watched both my wife and I as we worked to get THIER truck ready to recover. Once this ordeal was over and they were able to begin to recover my stolen truck, the idea of getting 2 wheels on the back of the vehicle became necessary to make the extraction easier. The tow truck had already positioned itself in front of my truck. The driver decided to try and use the boom to drag over the top of the truck to the rear and try to lift the back to secure a wheel. This was a very bad idea, because one the cables dragged on the top of the truck leaving marks and also used the tailgate for leverage as he tried to raise the truck. This folded the tailgate and destroyed it. Once again, this was never a good decision as it could have been dragged to a better spot to allow a jack to get under the truck to secure a wheel. This was eventually the plan that worked to get it on more solid ground. The next problem was getting them to stop as they planned to drag my truck minus wheels on the left side over a mile on a hard dirt surface to the waiting flatbed which would have destroyed the suspension. I had to cut them off to get them to stop. I then said we needed to put a tire on it now. He was very put out about me stopping him and said he had been out here too long already. I had to remind him that he would still be out here had I not have shown up to pull him out. He agreed and I had to jack the truck up myself while they decided to finally slide a wheel onto the truck. I was later informed that they would not take care of the tailgate damage as it was incidental to the tow. This was pure negligence on their part and these 2 had no business even being involved in a tow business or being employed by one. I would never let them touch another one of my vehicles. I would sit and wait for another tow company first. I apparently have to rate at least a star to create this rating but am leaving a 0 star rating in text.

The place looks as run-down as the people. We were completely friendly and hassle free in picking up our vehicle and TJ tossed our paperwork around. The people had a horrible attitude beginning with the first phone call and they were exceptionally rude throughout. They charged double for cost of gas. They have at least 5 other LLCs listed in their mobile-home office. If you can avoid this business you should.

Call them! I got in a wreck and it was late and cold and Nicholas came to help, he was awesome and really helped saved the day. Very professional and quick. Waited less than 20 min!

Was referred to this company by a reputable company. Was inquiring about RVs for sale. They just hung up on me.. Bad customer service

0 Stars this place also sells cars auctions cars and theyre auctioneer is the Rookie of the Year always driving up prices and nobodys bidding and he sells the wrong cars and then when you go to ask for your money because you were there and they sold your car they say oh no your car didnt sell that was a mistake excuse me I got pictures with the buyer number on the windshield the car was sold the other car was not running my car was running and they sold my car but the car that was not running was the one that they made the guy pay for they would do nothing for me they dont care about their customers at all they only care about their money worst customer service worst business worse auctioneers worst workers at any auction Ive ever been to. CarMax IAA Manheim all better auctions none of this confusion at those auctions do not go to Acme you will be sorry you have been warned. This is a Mickey Mouse company.

Driver was homophobic and was cursing demeaning slurs to cars in my work parking lot. Very unprofessional. Will never give them my business.

Called at 5am for a tow back to town because my truck broke down in Tucumcari... they had a reasonable rate compared to the Tucumcari towing services I called. The drive from Albuquerque to Tucumcari take 2.5 hours going the speed limit, the driver didn’t get to me until 9am. Then the tow truck driver had to make a bathroom break in Tucumcari and on the way back, which is understandable but it took longer. We ended up getting back to Albuquerque around 12:00pm and then when it came time to pay they said my credit card had been denied and supposedly it was denied multiple times. I ended up using a different card then I called the credit card company and they said it went through once and then refunded it... it makes no sense to me. Took longer than necessary. Only good experience was the conversation with the driver. The communication between dispatch and him was disasterous from what I experienced. Very disappointed to spend that much and take that long to get home.

In order to review I must give a star wich i personally believe they dont deserve very unprofessional one guy was rude as soon as we approached and. Threw a pen at my sitter when he asked her to sign something. And the guy in the other building decided to get in my car and then in my face and start yelling at me because my sister drove threw the gate to the front to pay for the ticket . I honestly contacted APD and pressed charges

Dishonest and Irreputable!!!Parking in the wrong place happens. Being towed away happens. Would be nice if at least the towing company wasnt out to take advantage(for his own pocket) the situation. Towing fee=fine! Milage fee=hmmmmm. I travel from door to door 42 miles from belen to tramway/central. So unless youre charging big bucks per mile(in excess of $4/mi) or you are being disingenuous with the distance(which from louisiana/central is max 16mi). Either way it is shameful!!! You charged for 2 days @ $15/day storage. This is for a truck that was towed after 5:00pm on Friday and retrieved by 1:00pm on Saturday(less than 24hrs). Oh and I should mention you set the appointment at 1:00pm only to show up, with a rotten demeanor at 3:30pm. Ridiculous!! Finally, you charged another ambiguous $50, with no explanation as to why. Horrible. What you did was take advantage where you saw opportunity. You knew you were dealing with a young man, not an adult, with experience, and you intimidated and stole from him. He was already prepared to pay the penalty for his mistake, but to take advantage of the situation and increase the charges, extend days of storage, and place erroneous charges on the bill is tragic!

I was trying to set up a tow early one morning but the female who was working dispatch was very rude! I had asked to speak to someone else but she just put me on hold for 20 seconds and changed her voice and try and fool me. Very unprofessional and my company will NEVER bring business there again.

They suck had my vehicle towed from my apartment because my registration expired without my knowledge I asked if I could pay then and there for him to drop it he said yeah for 150$ so I counted it out he said he had another call and was rude as heck he waited till I had the cash in hand and left after I nearly begged him to let me pay and park it on the street because I have to be at work by 6 am then I called dispatch were a lady named Karen was absolutely rude and unprofessional I do think the driver was just being a jerk and should have just said I couldnt get it till the next morning instead of leading me on only to leave me hanging.

Kind of pricey

Terrible service, poor communication and very unprofessional. I called and was quoted $50 to have a car moved a short distance (from one side of a parking lot to the other side) instead, said car was towed to the Acme lot. When I called to question the drivers action, I was told they would bring the car back to the original location. After waiting two hours and trying several more times to contact the office, I was told that they would not bring the car back and I would be charged $150 to pick up from the tow lot.

Called for a tow. Waited over an hour. Called back and they never even sent a truck out for me!
