The staff and test administrators were very nice and professional. Also everyone there were doing their best to keep everything safe and disinfected.
Staff is amazing and the policies and protocols are interesting since they have to follow each tests rules due to their contract. I thought they handled every person with respect and care and it was obvious they were making sure the rules were followed for all of our tests. That old guy named Craig was amazing and made me feel less anxious thanks to the staff and Pearson for such a smooth easy process
Very thorough and professional. Minimal wait time, and able to address questions and concerns quickly. Everything is cleaned quickly between uses, and their efforts to maintain a clean, safe, and secure testing facility are well posted.
Upon arrival the front desk lady is extremely rude. She took a very long time just checking people in because she was busy trying to make a random conversation. Also the older lady who checks you in before entering the test room was not wearing a mask and did not clean off the mouse on the computer after touching it. They have all these rules about people needing to wear masks and then the staff do not. How does that make any sense? Especially with Covid-19 going around.
Absolutely amazing staff,. Safe and quiet place to get a successful exam.
Took my NREMT Basic exam, very clean and professional. They even provide earplugs and noise cancelling headphones
Giving 1 star. The overall experience for testing was fine. But upon arrival the lady at the front test is extremely rude and impatient. Very crappy attitude. Ive been to the testing center twice before and thought maybe she was just having a bad day. Nope, shes rude all the time. I was trying to find my ID in my purse and she kept glaring at me making remarks so have you finally found it? Getting impatient with me even though I was early to my testing time. Been to the testing center before and their policy is to have phones off. She didnt belief my phone was off.......woman my screen is black. Clearly its off. I had to physically turn it back on infront of her, then turn it off. Then she points me in the wrong direction for my test.... Find someone else to be your front desk person. She really upset multiple people that she was talking to. Know everyone has their days, but she was intentionally being a grump and rude . Understand that there are policies to follow, but dont treat people with disrespect . The front person should be welcoming and encouraging before taking a test. She ruined my day with her attitude. Everyone else was very kind and took their time with protocol....without getting impatient. When I got my test results that same front desk lady comes and gets me after Im finished with my test, rolls her eyes at me.....and points to get my test results. I will not be returning to this testing center if shes there. Everyone else was very friendly and accommodating. Really appreciate the man that was there. Didnt get his name. He was very helpful and friendly.
The “scratch paper” provided for the exam is a dry erase marker and plastic sheets. Would have been okay if the markers worked on the sheets. I had to pause and raise my had over and over to ask the proctor to exchange the markers. For whatever reason, the markers worked for a little bit of writing then nothing. This is unacceptable and not sure why they can’t provide a pen and paper.
Ridiclous testing facility. People come anxious only to find the door is locked with tiny writing saying to use the intercom to get buzzed in. Suggestion that if people are paying large amounts of money for testing, then the door should be open and run less like a prison or move it elsewhere to support people gaining easy access vs. increasing anxiety.
I had a pleasant experience at the testing center. I could tell both ladies were professional and pleasant to work with.
Most of the people that worked here were very nice. But an older lady with short black hair was awfully rude. The woman at the front, Deborah, told me to go to the right side and the lady looked at me, said No and walked into the test area. The man was very kind and communicated well. That lady was the only thing that made this center bad.
Oh my! The front desk employee gave rules that made me feel like I was headed to prison! After we did our mug shot and then our finger and palm prints I get that we needed to lockaway our phones.Next the real dehumanization began. I was basically ordered to take off the following: My shawl for warmth, crocheted hat, necklace, bracelets, earrings, hair tie, and my glasses were searched for Google spyware. I was caused to touch my belly and feel around my belly and rub my hands from my waist to my ankles. I was told that my hair tie could not be a “scrunchy“. One of the testers who came out of the testing room felt so bad for me he offered me his hair tie and he even offered to go to his car to get me one to hold my hair back. I ended up putting on someone else’s coat hanging on a rack that had been left.My testing score dropped from a prior 197 and 210 to a 193. The base score needed was a 220. Now mind you, I had already passed four State exams that covered everything that Pearson has gotten s contract to cover again.I’ve had $100 not returned when they claimed I didn’t cancel in time because I did not hit the “submit button though I cancelled in the timeframe given. I am now working on getting some other money back for a test I did not take. I have had problems with their testing sites with getting on their computer, loud noises, and freezing cold rooms. As I said, I’ve passed 4 required state exams for the state of New Mexico already! I have these final two with Pearson Vue and my time expired on my license so, I cannot teach for APS regular teacher status. My license is been suspended. I have to pay another $150 again (I believe) to the state once I pass these last two exams. Overall I have paid about $1400 in tests to teach. Teachers are not paid very well in our state and yet we are asked to pay these fees. The very interesting thing is that if you do not pass your exam even by one point, you must take the test again but the tester must wait 30 days. Working teachers can forget studied materials in 30 days. Each time you take the tests they are different exams. You are told overall where your weakness is but you’re never given the exact questions you got wrong so you can study for them and do better the next time. You can pay more money for study materials through them. The very interesting thing is that if you do not pass your exam even by one point, you must take it again! That 30 day wait time for working testers can be rough. Once again, a tester is never given the exact questions you got wrong so you can study for them and do better the next time. Is the goal to get great Teachers in the classroom? Great teachers are not proven by tests alone I guarantee you that.I’m getting broker and it seems that Pearson Vue is making more money as we speak. I am being denied the opportunity to have my license not because I haven’t tried. I also have my Masters in education but that does not seem to matter. What matters most is if you don’t pass the battery of exams. It would seem that it would be enough that I have passed the following exams: teacher content, teacher competency, teacher basic skills, and social studies. Now they’re asking me to do this reading exam. Finally a five subject exam in one. This includes a combination of algebra, geometry, history, science, and art which you must achieve a 220 in within your allotted 2.5 hours! If your strong suit is not algebra and geometry like mine you’re just in trouble. You might need to study for like 2 to 3 years in order to be able to pass the algebra and geometry portion of the exam or whatever area is your week weakness. I was teaching grades three and under so the fact that my masters degree said that I am K through eight is the reason I guess I’m having to take one of the exams. What’s crazy is if I wanted to go teach algebra and geometry in middle school they could test me at that time which I will never asked to do! Most of the staff I get in the company phones act similar to robots, cold and ready to get that money.
Great customer service.
Very cooperative people and they instruct you everything,l.I have only one issue with the location because its inside the bank building, l was lost till I entered and asked about it.
