Every one at VP is very talented and professional. But, Alan is the best barber in town. He took his time and didn’t make me feel rush. The facilities are always clean and and orderly.I highly recommend.Don’t forget to call ahead and make and make an appointment and always tip your barber!

Have had 3 different barbers here. Each was OUTSTANDING. Having to make an appointment now, in my opinion, makes it even better. Youre in and out in 30 minutes. These ladies know how to give the freshest and flyest fades. My wife definitely approves!

Very nice place. Excellent barbers. They really did go all out with the finest amenities. Then, they get cheap on you and charge an extra $2 for card processing. Personally, I think thats incredibly tacky. Especially when haircuts start at $20. Either get a new merchant or say your cash only. Dont push that on customers.

They are am, Maggie cut my hair and it is on point. She is very professional and courteous. Ill recommend them to anyone.

I’ve been getting weekly cuts from Kerrianne (owner) for the past 2 years now and she is by far the best!!! Always an amazing fade. I have never left the shop feeling unhappy! She’s very attention to detail and will cut your hair exactly how you want it. The additional barbers are all very nice and friendly, always welcoming. It’s a clean and very up kept shop. 100% satisfied and highly recommended!!!!

I feel like I need to defend my barbershop here. My husband gets his haircut religiously once a week here and we have never seen any of these barbers behave in an unpleasant manner even in the times they have been attacked. The low star reviews boil down to one thing - the wait and sign in sheet. I’ve heard them plenty of times let customers know when they sign in that whatever names ahead that are not highlighted are people still waiting ahead of them. Customers sometimes grab a bite to eat or a car wash while they are waiting and are not always in the actual waiting area. People Assume that because there is only 2 people in the waiting room when they arrive that they are next. Common sense says if 5 people are signed in ahead of you that you would not be next after 2. Some people wait for specific barbers, which also can play a part in who is actually ahead of you. The barbers here are phenomenal at their craft and have always been friendly and professional in the 2 1/2 years we’ve been coming here. They are busy for a reason. Sometimes you have to be patient but the haircuts are well worth the wait.

Called in at 1245 to inquire about wait. Was told 20 min, so the gentleman put my name on the list. Arrived at the shop 21 minutes later. Was not greeted or acknowledged in any way. I verified my name was on the list. 20 minutes goes by and 2 people went ahead of me, so I got up and checked to the list again to see where I was. 20 more minutes go by of me sitting there unacknowledged and 2 more people go ahead of me. I walked out exactly 1hr after I called and was told 20 minutes. Will never go back and would not recommend. The place seems to be great if you know one of the barbers, otherwise forget it....

They were busy. Told me to put my name on the list and it would be an hour. Returned in an hour. I looked at the list and all names above mine but one were crossed off. They then served two other customers but the guy above me and I were never called.The lady who seemed to be in charge then lied to me by saying there were others above me on the list. When I called her out on it, she told me to leave.WTF!

Ive been getting my haircut from the same Barber for 8 years now from the owner of this Lounge and since she has open this NEW location its a much better experience with having your hair cut, shampooed, a little Chair massage, couches to relax on while you wait... man just amazing here!!!! Ive had my hair cut by the owner, Kerrianne, for the past 18 years and Ive always had a great experience. Her shop is clean and comfortable and the rest of the staff is great as well.

I went to this barber shop Mon. Around 3pm signed and sat down. Around 4pm I was informed by the lady barber that i would be after all the clients who had came in after me. BECAUSE they had apparently called in. Short and simple these ladies are racist. It would had been professional to tell me this before I took an hour out of my busy day. Also these ladies are GHETTO!

Over 1 hour wait. Ranks with the worst hair cuts Ive ever gotten. Its a good thing hair grows back.

Barbershop is decent. Price for a cut is reasonable 20$ but for a beard trim 11$ idk. I’ve been here about 5 times every cut was alright. They always missed something Ike the line up on my beard or or I’m able to see lines in my fade

I wish I could give it a zero star but it won’t let me. I usually have good service and yes they do a good job and all that but today took the cake. After going there and waiting for up to two hours to get in the seat we tried to call and make an appointment this time. My son was told on the phone by a male to come in a hour and a half and his name would be written down and would be seen then. We get there on time and the male claims he did not remember my son calling and needless to say his name was not on the list. We were assured it would only be a few minutes. After waiting and others being called I asked the male again how long as I just wanted to know as every time we go there the rules seem to change and then he told us “If we don’t like it then get the hell out” and with the owner right there not saying a word.... needless to say we won’t be back and will not refer either.I am sure this review won’t matter much to some but if this is the way they want to treat their customers then maybe enough will see the same thing and VIP will feel the effect as there are many other barbers out there.

I was in ABQ for training and not familiar with the area barber scene and walked- in before lunchtime. Signed in & waited for maybe 5 mins & proceeded to get a top notch razorfade by Brandon. The service, conversation and professionalism was very much appreciated! In & out in about 45 mins. Highly recommended!

I’ve been going to Kerrianne for years now and I have to say I don’t see myself leaving anytime soon. She used to cut at another barber shop that was also fantastic and close to home. I definitely feel that it’s worth the 20 min drive. We can agree that we all have a barber we trust and feel loyal to. Kerrianne has instilled that loyalty in me. Out of the 5 years I’ve been getting my haircuts I haven’t had a single bad experience. It’s always quick, efficient and friendly.

I am new to Albuquerque and have been going to the same person in Southern CA for 30 years! Brooke Morgan Hair in Laguna Hills. For the last 10 months Ive been going back to SoCal every 90 days or so to get my hair cut! I did a Google Search and VIP Barber popped up and I realized I drove by it everyday on the way to my office! The experience with Maggie matched the great reviews on Google! Great location, clean professional and moderately priced. Razor neck shave was a nice finish! I dont give 5 stars often as I am a critical consumer but VIP Barber Lounge earned it! Thank you! Ill be back!

Worst haircut ever. The barber cut in my part about quarter inch wide and gave me a terrible fade. Its been three weeks and my hair is still jacked but I just have to sit and wait for it grow out enough to deal with it.

The worst haircut i have ever had. Completely ruined my hair, no fade and a lump of hair left at the top. TERRIBLE PLACE.

So, I got there at 5:45 to get a cut and they were already closed. The girl inside just stared at me through the glass. I guess when they say they closed at 6pm, what they really mean is 5:30-so lame. Poor way to run a business.
