Michelle cut my sons hair, she did a great job, very professional and knows what she is doing. Showed her a picture for five seconds and looked just like the picture. Barber Shop is clean and a great environment, but still has that barber shop feel. Thank you so much Michelle my son loves his back to school hair cut😊 We will see you next week!

I have been going here for a while now. Not often enough usually. I have had my hair cut by a few different barbers here, and all have been great. I always walk in and get a cut and out the door within my lunch hour. I do plan my times to catch them when they are not busy. Miah was great this last time. Great cut! See you guys again soon.

Barbers Knock is a very classy and friendly environment. Im also in the business of Customer Service and keep a very watchful eye at any restaurant or other businesses I go to. If I am not treated like more then a dollar sign, my business will not be given. Joel, Michelle, and Mark are all great people who put you first when you are in the seat and enjoy what they do while they are at it. I go in about every 10 days to stay clean and Joel is always professional, efficient and to be honest, one of the best Barbers in NM, maybe even U.S. As long as the staff continues to treat me like family, you can catch me at Barbers Knock in Joels chair getting the freshest cut in NM.

Mechelle has been my barber for about 2 years. I drive hours to see her, because my hair is coarse, wavy and has cowlicks all over. Shes the only person that has figured out how to cut my hair to where it grows out nicely - she is extremely talented. She’s friendly, very skilled and the shop is always clean. It’s usually busy, so an appointment is definitely recommended.

I have been coming to Barbers Knock for several months now. Although the barber I used recently moved I have been able to receive great cuts from Michelle and Jordan. This team is outstanding... appointment or not they have always been very professional. I recommmed appointments simply because they are a busy shop! If youre in a hurry schedule your cut when you have time. These are professional barbers and they take pride in their work. Last thing I want is a barber to rush through my cut! Five stars!

I noticed many of the poor reviews for BK mention an issue with walk ups and it seems that folks were not pleased with their experience when showing up without a reservation. I showed up without a reservation and I did have to wait for 20 or 30 minutes. However, thats what happens to people who do not call ahead! Dont be ridiculous. Of course you have to wait if you dont make a reservation. Of course you will not be seated immediately if you just walk in off the street. I came in off the street, waited 20 to 30 minutes and then got a hair cut and beard trim - I just wanted to point out that like some negative reviewers, I did not have a reservation. Unlike those negative reviewers, I had a tremendous experience all around at Barbers Knock.

My first experience with a barber style cut, and it was worth it. The staff was friendly and inviting when I walked in, and Mark was my barber. He did a great job! Quick and clean. Would recommend to anyone!

This is an awesome place. My story is below.Ive never been satisfied with Great Clips because of their speed. I would always leave and finish my haircut at home. I then finally found Barbers Knock and couldnt be happier! Joel cuts my hair and takes his time. He also trims my beard and does a great job. I have never had to trim any stragglers when I get home. Also, Barbers Knock has sponsored two beard competitions. After a fresh trim from Joel, I placed 2nd!As far as service, my recommendation is to make an appointment. Naturally, these will take precedence over the walk-ins.I will be moving out of state soon and Barbers Knock has set the bar high for the next place I go. Thanks for being awesome!

Ive been going to Joel for a long time and him and the staff at BK have always been really great. ive cancelled on Joel last minute many times and he is very understanding so if I ever wait a few minutes for my appointment time its not a big deal. This is a great shop and the cuts are always amazing.

The best! Consistent and great. Appointments are recommended but they seem to always fit me in due to my schedule. Every one of the barbers there are awesome.

Do yourself a favor and call ahead to make an appointment. They can get busy here, but its because theyre good. I havent seen any one walk out without a smile and a good cut. Ive been at least three times, different Barber each time, but a great cut.

You better be friends with the owner or hell let you set there and wait with his chair empty. Waiting in the name of the game at this place. Appointments are a joke because no body sticks around. I walked out with no cut at 40 min today while the owner had an open chair.

Horrible service. Been going here for a while out of coveinience, scheduled several appointments only to have to wait time and time again. Today went in expecting I wait15-20 minutes as usual for appointments that I show up 10 minutes early for and I was told time is money and his time is valuable. (Understandable) even though this shop is always making people wait.The manager/owner there is also very cold, might just be me but nasty non the less.A business that runs this way is not good, hopefully they learn, customer isnt always right but I would never talk down to a customer in front of other customers. And no resolutions were made, just oh well. Oh well, lost a customer. And will make sure to spread the word.

I never thought Id feel like family in a hair cut place. Thats what it feels like at Barbers Knock. Meshelle and the rest of the staff make you feel comfortable and welcome no matter what day it is. Ive never had a better hair cut, and I take my three year old son here to get his hair cut as well. I love the way Meshelle interacts with my son. She always knows how to make him smile. Ive given them chance after chance. I wanted to like them, I live nearby. Consistently unable to get a haircut with or without an appointment & they could care less if you walk. Found a great place down the street on osuna & it appears they are serving alot of disenfranchised barbers knock patrons. Never going back, never recommending.

I have personally been going to Meshelle and she has been giving me a great hair cut but the other barbers are great too. I had grown out my beard once and Meshelle trimmed that up to and did a fantastic job on that. They are busy for a reason, they are the best in town.

I waited an hour and a half to be seen, watched one barber talk to a pain for twenty five minutes after ringing them up. Im sorry, but my grandfather (A Barber) always said theres a fine line between friendly conversation with customers and wasting money. I never learned what he meant until today, as that was terrible etiquette, and a great way to waste an hour and a half. Rest assured Ive no intention of returning.

Been going to Meshelle for years. She finally decided to venture out on her own and open up her own shop. So proud of her. Definitely a loyal customer for life. Shes a master barber!

The sign on the door says walk ins welcome - absolutely not true. I took my boys in and we sat for over an hour. People kept walking in, supposedly appointments, but they were all friends with the barbers. One of my sons was finally called (and his cut only took 15 minutes!) and in the meantime my other son was still left waiting. Hes 7 - it would have taken almost no time to squeeze him in. Terrible customer service! Will never go back.

Called to set an appointment and the lady was fairly rude. As she handed the phone to my requested barber i wanted to see i heard her scoff and say great. Whatever maybe she wantes the business... Set an appointment for 10:30 am. Showed up at 10:25 and had to wait till 11:10 to get in the chair. The guy laughs and saies oh you got here really early. Then lies and saies no we agreed for 11am. Then charged me $20 for the posted $16 haircut. Really regret giving that guy a tip on top of that still. Go ANY WHERE else. Horrible customer service and professionalism. Plus dishonesty with your money

A Righteous Stache...Trashed. A lot of turnover. The barber I normally see left without word. I have a well groomed and grown out beard and moustache. The old barber would ask me if I wanted my lip cleaned up and this meant making the almost 2in hairs even. The new barber asked the same thing and then cut 1.5in of my hard earned stache off up over my lip!!!! Communication is key! At a minimum, if you are about to hack someones grown out stache, you should triple check with the customer. The hair cut was average, although the previous barber was exceptional. That level of inconsistency is not acceptable. I am looking for a new barber now...

Ive gone to Joel for the last three years, and have suggested multiple friends go to him. Im a my word is my bond kind of person and wouldnt suggest someone going to him if he wasnt talented, friendly, and accommodating. Hes always got me taken care of, and in the wake of his success as a barber, I have had to transition to calling and scheduling appointments to get my hair did, (im not super organized, so this has been inconvenient, but only because of a lack of planning on my part), instead of rolling in last minute. Ive gone to one other barber in the last three years (I know, I feel like I cheated on Joel 😬) and they jacked me up. Joel even forgivingly fixed it. Ive been 100% loyal ever since. I would recommend him 1000%.

I have lived in Abq for a little over 10 years and I have been to several different locations trying to find the right barber. I dreaded going to get my hair cut. Nothing was ever consistent. Until I found Meshelle and the rest of the Barbers knock crew. The whole crew has treated me like family since day one. I have been coming to Meshelle for about 2 years now and I sit in the chair and let her do her thing. She takes the time to know her clients and remembers exactly what you like. When I arrived, they were just finishing up on a guy. I should have been up in 5 minutes. I was called up twice but each time another person walked in and took my spot. Appointments, yeah right. The first guy went to sign in on the waitlist and when they saw him they were like hey, hows it goin! No just come on over. I get you wanna treat your return customers right but be upfront about bumping them to the front of the line. Feels sucky to literally be walking up to the chair and then be told to wait another 15 minutes over and over.

Barbers were every friendly and helpful in finding what look you wanted. Though for the price of a beard trim, I expected to have less stray hairs and a more cleaned up look that I didnt have to finish when I got home.

The barbers are artists but make sure you call ahead for an appointment. Otherwise your hair will grow even longer while you wait and the staff will treat you with an almost imperceptible amount of disdain.

They never keep their appointment times and we always end up waiting forever. My son and I get tired of waiting and just end up having to leave. They are not very friendly. Wont be back. :(
