Our technician Kerry was excellent. Our service call turned into parts replacement and was immediately scheduled and parts were ordered. He showed up and didnt stop until the job was done. I had a compressor replaced in an upright freezer and it took about 3 hours. On both the service check day and final parts replacement day the the technician called periodically to let me know when he would arrive. I didnt have to sit at home and miss work. The technician, service and scheduling is excellent. All of this was so outstanding I purchased a service plan for my entire home. I want the best taking care of my home appliances.
My serviceman came to perform a yearly maintenance check on my refrigerator and dishwasher. He was very thorough and meticulous and checked everything that could be checked. I also asked him to clean-out my dryer vent and he did a very detailed and exhaustive job in doing that. I was very impressed. He has worked for Sears for 10+ years and certainly knew what he was doing. When I need maintenance on my appliances again, I hope to get this gentleman.
This is the second time that Bryan has come to service my tractor mowers. He is the BEST! He notifies the customer of his ETA and is always extremely polite. Obviously, the is knowledgeable about the repair business and he always completes the job. To top it off, he cleans up his work area including sweeping. In all, I rate his job performance as 10!
We had 2 technicians for our first visit: one for the refrigerator ice maker (fixed and left--awesome job) and the second for the dishwasher (problem dish washer wouldnt drain) replaced the pump motor and said everything fixed. The next couple of days when we ran the dishwasher we had the same problem standing water and did not drain. When we called to let Sears know that we had the same problem we were scheduled and rescheduled 4 times.The last technician was AWESOME! Came in an immediately identified that the problem was the drain hose. After he replaced the drain he to the time to insure everything worked as required. He get 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Service was good. The tech took most of the day to get to my house and only called once. The tech was nice but did not seem very confident in what they where doing.
We had two appointments, one for the refrigerator and for the oven. Both were follow up appointments to replace parts that had to be shipped to the house. The appointment for the refrigerator went as scheduled. The man did an excellent job quick and easy. The second appointment never called or showed up. We took time for work to be here. When I called Sears which I had to do several times, they provided no explanation. I asked to be rescheduled and they rescheduled. I asked for compensation and after some haggling and promised a $50card by mail or email We have yet to receive it. The experience was like dealing with two different companies, one you enjoyed and one a nightmare!
The gentleman that came was excellent. Very polite and upfront about what was wrong. He even took the time to show us exactly what was causing the issues. Gave us upfront no hassle charge and did the work in a timely manner. I will use this company again for household repairs.
Our service tech, Ira was running later but he called. We discussed the washer issue. He was confident that he knew what the issue was and that he would call when he was on his way. Ira had the washer fixed in about 20 minutes as his phone diagnosis was right. Great service & great service technician.

Massive trouble getting repair tech to do repair. Had two no shows and took numerous attempts to get repair done. Spent over a week with five boxes of parts in my home Once Techs arrived, work went great and results terrific. I have been a Sears customer since 1957 and am disappointed to see company failing
The service was scheduled a total of four times. I called to set up my appointment for a top load washing machine. Stops in spin cycle. The first three appointments kept canceling and then when I did call they said that my refrigerator appointment was rescheduled when I called the lady said we are needing to reschedule your refrigerator appointment correct? I said no. She had also permanently changed my phone number to my moms. so when I called I had to use her phone number to access my account. Okay so we havent been able to wash our clothes for a couple of weeks. And due toproblems scheduling she wasnt able to schedule my appointment until the next Friday. I lost my cookies and said it should be a lot sooner like it should even be on a Saturday. The next day. Miraculously a window open two days earlier so now I can get my appointment done on Tuesday the 16th. So I have to scream to get the earliest appointment available instead of you graciously giving me the next appointment available. 8 * 3 is 24. Im giving you the number 24 because that is the total amount of hours we waited with no notice of a cancellation until the end of the day especially if I called at the end of the day. 24 hours waiting? No offense but I think this is the first time I have ever said this you should give me a freaking gift card for this. Im not even joking. Hopefully this can clear up. I will gladly delete this post.
I am pleased with the service; however, the time element is inconceivable. In that the appliance had new purchase coverage and additional coverage, one would think the length of time for a repair would not take a month to correct. Had it not been for the efficiency of the service tech on the second visit, I would still be waiting for them to figure out what the problem is. The inoperable part (ice maker) was replaced. It started working immediately. Too much trial and error, too long a wait for repairs. I am however pleased with the outcome.
The tech arrived on time and was very personable. He diagnosed the problem and spoke to someone about parts, but after doing that he thought a minute went out to the truck and came back with what he needed to fix the problem with my dishwasher. His ingenuity repaired my dishwasher, saved me money in one trip!! Definitely will be using Sears appliance repair for all my needs.Thanks!!

Weve used Sears for years to buy and repair products. And for nearly every occasion have been very pleased with the products and/or services. However that cant be said of our last visit for a maintenance issue. The window AC was repaired to proper working order. However the issue was, WHERE the repairs took place. It was upon the area rug in the middle of the hardwood floor! A stain was left that was said to be water but wasnt! For it was still there the next day and two days later (a Mon) when a call was made to customer service. We eventually dropped the claim because we couldnt find a receipt to show our original cost . And we were in the midst of downsizing and had many things stacked on almost half of the rug which made it difficult to take it out to be cleaned. But that aside the repairs should NEVER have been performed there in the first place. So the tech is lucky he didnt get a person whos all about revenge. Hopefully, when I asked that he be made aware of the damage and sent pictures he learned a valuable lesson. So for fixing it: A--(3***). But on overall service score: an F(or)NO *s.
The repair man was very capable. He waited for about 20 minutes while I hunted for the piece of equipment that had come in the mail that he was supposed to install. Most repair men would have just left.He was very patient and kind while waiting.
Sears sent out a knowledgeable and easy to work with technician to work on our Kenmore gas dryer. The problem was solved quickly at a reasonable cost. I heartily recommend them for your appliance repair needs in the Montgomery Alabama area.

I have no complaints about the service technician or his work. He was clean, on time and did a good job. My complaint is with the policies if Sears Appliance Repair. When I scheduled the service, I was told that I would get a 20% discount...no one told me that I had to ASK for it at the time of the appointment. When I mentioned it after the service was complete, I was told Ooops, too late. The ticket has already been run.I called their 800 number immediately and was told that there was no way to correct a already completed ticket! WRONG!! I know for a fact that credit card tickets can be corrected! This is the third review Ive been asked for and have mentioned this problem each time...no one seems to monitor reviews or respond to complaints. Wont use them again or recommend them to ANYONE!
The tech find out what the problem was and got the part pretty fast. Came the next week and install the new part. The treadmill is work great.The tech was very nice and knew what he was doing.
The issue was not fixed or repaired. A return visit has never been rescheduled,, parts that were ordered were wrong. A third return visit has never been rescheduled I have been receiving parts but do not know when grill will be repaired. I am at about the point or asking the whole grill be replaced.
This was the 2nd time weve had the same service technician out to service an appliance. He is extremely nice and very professional!! Seemed to know what he was doing and had the parts needed on his truck!!
Not a good experience. 1 - The time (in days) between requesting service and having it accomplished was too long (10 days). 2 - The arrival window is an entire day long. - I checked on line the day before the scheduled date and the window still indicated I should stand-by the entire day. 3 - Cost - a little excessive. Even with your 25% discount, the replacement part cost $30 more then on line and the labor charge with your 25% discount was $125 for a 30 minute job. The service technician was courteous and seemed to know the repair procedures.
The service person called before he arrive. He was professional, thorough, and knew what he was doing. I was pleased with his demeanor and the quality of his work. He represents Sears Service very well.
The two techs (two visits) were great. Very good representatives of your company. I was somewhat disappointed that the main problem was beyond the second ones ability to handle, not that he couldnt fix it, but he did not have the tools in his truck that was needed to remove a part that was stuck or jammed that had to be removed in order to remove engine to install a gasket. I think he needed a torch to break loose the part. I do not fault him with this problem. He said that it was not uncommon for the part over time to become jammed or stuck and I would need to take it to a shop where they would have the tools to remove the part that prevented the removal of the engine.
The Appliance Repairman arrived on time, after calling, introduced himself with identification, was clean while doing the annual inspection of my appliances. He was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient in his work. An enjoyable few minutes. Wayne Davis
Jacob (our Technician} arrived on-time after first calling to advise when he would arrive. He immediately examined and identified my two problems (exhaust and fan belt). Then, without delay, he proceeded to repair the problems. His professionalism, knowledge, and courtesy were overwhelmingly present. I would recommend SEARS clone Jacob about 50 times and pass the NEW JACOBS around the State of Alabama thereby reducing the wait time required to get a service appointment. Technicians (like Jacob) are too few and far-too-spread-out across this service area. Jacob was indeed a joy to receive in my home!!!! I wish ALL service calls for ALL my needs could follow his lead!!!!

The Sears technician was kind, courteous and very professional. He diagnosed the problem and repaired it quickly. Unlike the previous Sears contractor who was totally inept. My only complaint is that it took two months before Sears was able to send a Sears technician instead of a local contractor. The Sears Tech really knew his stuff!!! He properly installed the part that the other tech installed improperly. He also recognized a potential problem and ordered parts to fix it before it fails.
The actual repair was done very professionally. I did have a problem with the notification text and email I received telling me the technician was on his way to my location. It was almost two hours before he was actually at my home. On the way to me meant I had between 15-30 minutes before he showed up. That was a lot of additional down time for me that was not appreciated. Its nice to use technology but it needs to be accurate. Valerie Lamb
They did a good job, got our washing machine fixed. The price seemed reasonable. They were pretty backed up though, so by the time the repair guy had looked at the machine, then ordered the replacement part, then came back to install the part, it took about 3 weeks. Which was OK for us because our washer was just acting up, not completely broken, but if the washer had been completely broken it would have been a problem.

Cameron was fantastic!!! He ordered several parts and made three visits and got my mower deck working like new. This mower has given me more problems than any other craftsman mower I have owned (5), but technicians like Cameron make everything OK.
Took 3 appointments for a technician to actually arrive at the house. Appointment was for maintenance on washer between 1 and 5 and I was the last call every time. 1st technician couldnt make it till around 7:30 so rescheduled, 2nd was around 6:30 so rescheduled. 3rd (Tracey) was going to be around 6 but was able to work me in around 4:45. While I would rather not wait thru 3 appointments, this time it was for the better as Tracey did a great job and was very knowledgeable about my washer.
After two visits under my service contract, my dryer still does not work properly and according to the contract, the dryer is supposed to be replaced. They cannot find the part to repair the dryer. Good luck getting Sears to stand behind the replacement portion of the service and repair agreement. Im not blaming the technician. Hes done everything he can. The problem lies in the overwhelming bureaucracy and uncaring people who run the Customer Solutions part of this program.
The tech repaired the dishwasher with no problem. The problem I have is why did it take over 2 weeks to get someone out to fix the problem. The management at Sears have no idea what customer service is. It should never take that long to fix a problem. If it takes more than 2 weeks to fix a customers problem, the management at Sears needs to be fired.We will never buy another appliance from Sears. We will also cancel the annual maintenance contract when it is time to renew for the dishwasher.
Dishwasher had stopped draining and would not function.Technician # 0757518, arrived as expected on 6/24/2016 found the problem and fixed in a timely manner. Technician was knowledgeable and efficient. Informed me about an available warranty. Would recommend this service to anyone having an appliance not working. Sears Tech came out on 9/14/17 to repair my riding mover the Serviceman was very nice with a super personality and he done a great job getting my mover back working. But I have been without my mover the entire Spring and Summer because I had a very hard time getting Sears to come out to repair it. The day of my appt they never showed or I received a call stating that the Tech called out sick and this went on for months and months with the same excuse. My father in law is going through the same exact thing now. When they reschedule your appt its two months out. Whats the purpose of have a Service Agreement when you have a hard time getting Sears to honor it.
This was the second request for the same problem with our front load washer. The first tech. did not sucessfully fix the problem. The second tech, Joe, did an outstanding repair by replacing a faulty pump. Great job, Joe.
Everything was just great. On time and very efficient. We are well satisfied.
It was my refrigerator, not dishwasher that I had repaired. The repairman was excellent, but the office I called about my repair were very uninformed. They told me I needed to change the water filter in order to make more ice. I ordered a new water filter for my refrigerator. When the repairman arrived he informed me that I did not have a water filter on my unit. I had to return it and received a refund of $10 less than I paid for something they told me I needed.
The repair man arrived as scheduled and made the necessary adjustment to my refrigerator. He was very pleasant and advised me that if they were for any further problems to contact them and they would replace the icemaker.

I made the appointment online on a Sunday evening and the service men were at my house first thing Monday morning. They found the problem in just a few minutes and had it fix before I knew it. I highly recommend the Sears Appliance Repair service team.
While I did not approve of the long delay to get my microwave repaired, the technicians were very professional and very thorough.

Technichan was very good and rates a 5-star rating but the Sears Warranty process to get the work accomplished was completely unsatisfactory. I have been a life-long Sears appliance owner but will never purchase from Sears again.
As always, repairs are made professionally & I have not had to have them come back out for the same issue. My problem is that there are not enough techs available in my area to respond in a timely manner. 2 - 3 weeks is not reasonable.
The technicians did a great job. However the people that i called to setup an appointment was not cooperative. Different people i talked to said the same thing that i would get a call in 24 hours to setup an appointment. I called everyday for a week before anyone setup an appointment
Technician had no knowledge or very little of appliance at all. Total waste of my time. Didnt perform any service. Said appliance was working fine . Appt. scheduled between 8:00-5:00pm. Arrived after 4:00pm. Entire day wasted waiting for nothing.
First of all, I hate there are no other repair people in Dothan anymore. Having to wait 2-3 weeks wasnt great either. But, he came, he conquered, he was very polite and respectful, and the icemaker is fixed. However the email that said he was on his way didnt come until 2 days after the repair. I was afraid they were going to charge me again for a 2nd visit. All is good.

My problem is still not fixed and they do not take my word for it that something is wrong. I have w Inness, too, that can verify but they refuse to check out the whole part of it that has to do with the workings of the dispenser problem unless they can reproduce what happens with my using it. It happens periodically and it so happened that day they came the dispenser worked correctly except for a noise I have heard for the first time since Ive had the fridge. Told him and he heard it and said its normal but Ive had fridge 3 or 4 years and never had that noise before. Refused to check behind and inside of door where the working parts of dispenser are and responded to me as if I didnt know what I was talking about because hes worked 17 years on fridges. I have warranty as well and was told if that came out again I would have to pay for that visit if it wasnt doing what I said it does. Whats happened to the customer is always right, which I am in this case? No wonder they dont have stores anymore!
This particular repair is still ongoing for almost 2 months...very unsatisfying experience..with everyone acting not concerned with getting this problem corrected effectively and efficiently. Worst experience ever...
I have been a customer with Sears for years, and had not had any problems in the past. I recently required service/repair for my microwave. I technician arrived at the scheduled appointment and said he had to order a part, no problem. A week later I received a recorded message stating that the technician would come out on Monday from 8 to 12. I waited all day, I called Sears customer svc rep said she would call tech and have him call me with what time he would come out. No call. So I called next day, same story, Wed no show. Called again customer svc said someone would come Fri. from 8 to 12. Here it is after 12 no tech. Called again finally got the name of the company the tech worked for. They had no idea Sears had made the appt. Bottom line. Sears wasnt communicating with their contracted technicians. Very poor business. I wasted a week trying to get a technician out here. Very unhappy customer.
Repairman was able to repair our washer quickly and professionally and he left the job site neat and clean. He has our thanks.
Six weeks and six scheduled appointments to repair our washing (Oct 10 thru Nov 18) is high on the ridiculous side dont you think? And it is still not repaired. If I could give your service a lower rating I wouldnt hesitate.

I was totally dissatisfied with your service. Your repairman told me it was a plumbing issue and after calling in a plumber it seems the issue was the water line, which your man said he checked. So not only did I have to pay $114 for your service call, but then had to pay another $85 for the plumber! Most certainly feel that your service was inferior.
Refrigerator freezing food. Took over 3 weeks to get technician here. He put in only one of the two parts that were sent. The problem is worse and it will take more than a week to get another technician. Also, DO NOT BUY an ice maker in the door. Sounds like rocks on a tin roof. Sears response Nothing we can do

Sears only services Montgomery for air conditioning and heating on Tuesdays, so if its summer or winter and your unit fails on a day other than Monday, using Sears may put your life at risk. In this city, there are times of year where anything over a 4-hour response is life threatening, and Sears here cannot react in those time constraints, even though everyone else in town can.The technician was polite and did what appeared to be a thorough check of the unit, and when he left, our air conditioning was back up and running. Unfortunately, it failed less than 36 hours later, and we are now waiting for 5 1/2 days for the next visit. Our chilly mornings have resulted in us huddling around our gas fireplace at night...but so far the pipes havent frozen. An additional rating may follow the follow-up visit.Overall, highly professional technician who certainly tried to fix the root cause of the problem. In this case he missed. Sears, the parent company, however, needs to take immediate action to be more responsive before the summer heat becomes truly life-threatening, and needs to develop procedures to enable their technicians to respond during the summer in a time-frame does not put their customers at grave risk.
The cow was very nice who came out but although my dishwasher only work 3 days-and his messed up again and always have to wait weeks and weeks for somebody to come-back out Im so disappointed in Sears I am so glad that have closed-down in my area so I can never ever buy anything else from Sears again

Kenmore Refrigerator are not reliable. It has broke numerous times, even during the warranty period, I takes a month to get it repaired. 1st visit, tech verified it was broken, 2nd visit, Bad repair parts. 3rd visit, repaired, sounds bad, how long will this repair last?
