I’ve had my nails done twice with ANC and tips and I’m never coming back. The first time they were just ok but I just thought it was Bc they were busy. They came off no problem. The second time?? It’s been 5 weeks and they’re still on (3 fell off) and it seems like they’ll never come off. They’re overgrown so I had to finally cut them w scissors and file them down. one nail is so loose but stuck to one part of my nail so whenever I hit it, it bleeds and my whole finger is swollen. I just want them to come off at this point- they hurt so bad its like they used superglue or something.Update: the nail glue was stuck to my skin... Probably Bc they rush the process so much. Not cool.

So a friend of mine comes here and swears by this place. I decided to go as I’ve heard great compliments about their services. They made my appointment for a full manicure and pedicure at 6pm when they close at 7. I was attending a wedding on 9/25 and didn’t want the hassle of doing my own mani/pedi, plus I had broken 4 of my own nails and decided to get tips put on those particular fingers so my nails looked somewhat even. They asked if I wanted gel polish and I agreed as I was told it lasts a long time. They neglected to tell me there would be a $10 up charge for it. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was friendly and funny but I felt as if everything was rush, rush, rush. I was so rushed in fact, they wanted me to pay before the nail tech was finished because they wanted to close the register for the night. Once finished, I was rushed out the door so they could close...oh I forgot to mention the floor was swept and mopped around me as the nail tech did my manicure. Once I got in the car, I took a good look at my nails and this is what the result was...pics posted separately.

I made an appointment, i ended up being seen 30 minutes later due to people not showing up on time to their own appointment- I was pushed to be later than expected. Nan was the one who did my nails, she seemed nice but she was busy doing 3 other things while she was doing my gel acrylic fill. (She was answering calls, doing waxes and putting people in for appointments). I know she has a business to own and run but I’m also a customer, who felt as if I was put on the back burner. I’m sitting in your chair, I should be a priority.My nails looked horrible when I walked out, she didn’t ask if the color was the right one when she used it on my nails, she didn’t do any care to my cuticle or dead skin around my nail, the gel wasn’t cleaned up after. The gel polish was under my nails and looks completely unprofessional. I choose a lavender color with confidence and now I regret it. She didn’t check to see if the size of the nails were the same size on each hand, she didn’t even change buffing blocks or filing sticks from what I saw, you can tell it was used by another customer. I’m just at a loss, I keep going place to place in hopes I’ll find a good nail salon and it looks like I’ve given up. This place won’t have my business again.

My first time here and I loved every minute of it. They were fast and professional. Clean and COVID-19 safe. I forgot the woman’s name, but she was able to do my nails and take care of incoming customers all under an hour. Will go here next time and all the other times I want my nails done.

Have you make an appointment and take other people right while you’re there being serviced. When you then say something about they claim that had no idea you wanted other services when your tech was very aware. Never apologized for it or anything.

I wish the tech that does my nails worked somewhere else! Shes great however I had a big issue with the owner in which she caused damage to my face after doing an eyebrow tattoo. Not even an apology.

I started going to Nan nail when they opened after the shutdown. I continued going because they were clean and all services were by appointment. Now, I love going because they are friendly, they get to know who you are and your name, and its a great place to go every other week.

I paid $40 plus a $10 tip, after my pedi and before Nan did my nails. The pedicure felt good. When it came time to do my nails, Nan sat with the phone. I could have done a better job in the dark. The phone rang no less then 7 times and she answered it each time. She kept stopping to schedule new customers, while treating the one in front of her as if her part was already done. She did not cut or clean up any loose skin around my nail bed. The paint job looks clumpy and uneven. I am very disappointed with the care and concern I was shown, after she got her money. There are too many other nail places for me to ever return to Nan Nails.My advise... Focus on the client that is right in front of you. If I could get my tip back, I most certainly would!

Vivian is very professional and talented. We did ANC ombré nail and a whole face wax. Was totally worth the $67 plus $17 tip. Would recommend to everyone to go here

I came in to get my nails filled for my baby shower and they are normally so much better but this time I was in a hurry but they werr on their phones and over cured my gel polish I was doing dishes last night and the changed is temperature made my polish crack and peak so because it’s a glitter polish I wasn’t gonna stress it but with my baby shower tomorrow and HALF THE GLITTER GONE ON EACH NAIL I’m absolutely furious with this

Ive been coming to Nan Nails for years and the ladies are always prompt and courteous. Wait times can be a problem if youre in a rush so I would suggests calling ahead or making in appointment.

They do OVERBOOKING.Even though a woman who picked up our call in the morning accept the reservation, once we get there they just said there’s no reservation for me.I showed a recents calling list, but they never accepted their MISTAKE.Never even apologize.It was my favorite nail store, so I recommend to my friends.But I’ll never come back again.

Girlfriend got her nails done here and not only were they rude, but they did not listen to her when she told them they were doing her nails a different way than what she asked for. Very poor customer service. When they finally attempted to fix the nails they had ruined, she ended up with several deep bleeding cuts on her fingers. Terrible service. Seem to give very preferential treatment based on race. Disgusting.

Nan is fabulous! Last minute repair without hesitation she fixed at end of night with the BEST unhurried manner! Not to mention her fees are great! She won me as a customer for sure and I travel 30 mins to get them done with her!!!

Friendly technicians who talk as little or as much as you prefer.The salon is trendy and clean inside with many pedicure and manicure stations. Ive never had to wait for longer. They are quick! I dont have time for slow service.

The Best!!!! I have tried other salons. There is no other salon in my opinion that has as much pride and skill in their work as the nail technicians at Nan. They do except walkins but, they have so many clients (because theyre so good,), that if you walk in you may have to wait. My longest wait as a walkin was about 20 minutes. I just recently moved to Albany and I was on the hunt on finding a new place to get my acrylic nails done without them falling off 🙄🙄. My nails lasted over two weeks and one of the ladies fixed my broken nail for free from an earlier application at another nail salon. Unfortunately, I made the mistake to get my nails filled elsewhere and already one nail broke in less than a week. Ill definitely be returning here to get my nails done from now on!

I love NanNails. The ladies there are very good at what they do, so we have fun.

The older lady in there is probably one of the most unprofessional and rude nail techs I’ve ever come across. She doesn’t listen nor follows instructions. Did my nails rushed and kept saying that she had an appointment after me (the person was not even there to begin with). Did my nails bumpy, left them with lots of ANC crust, uneven, missing powder in some places (ANC), and cut me multiple times. It was a simple short nail, white ANC and she could not get the job done.

I went to get my nails done here, and my ANC came out looking very bulky, uneven, crooked and disgusting. I came 10 minutes before my appointment but someone was already with the person i requested, so i ended up waiting almost an HOUR to sit down with someone (at one point i didnt care if the person i requested was available or not) My nails were rushed, and they looked like there were so many uneven layers of ANC powder on it. Two days later, because of how bad they looked, i took them off and now my actual nail beds has dents and ridges in them. Horrible experience, and horrible nails. will not be returning.They also had some nerve to confidently charge me almost 70$ for this trash ANC set. Ofcourse i paid, but i know now to take my money elsewhere.

I went here based off a recommendation from a regular customer. I did not have a good experience. I dont know the nails tech name. My manicure was rushed amd not enough glue was applied. I mentioned that and she dismissed me as quickly by saying it was enough glue on it. I asked if she could do a coffin style nail. She said yes but proceeded to give me many different shaped nails, I even asked her to fix them or put on new tips so they could all be the same shape and size before she put the acrylic on but refused to do so and said she could “file” it to the correct shape. Once acrylic was applied, it was not smooth and had a few lumps on the nail. It was a very sloppy job and the only thing I did actually like about the set was the color I picked. Within 3 days, one of my nails fell off and day after day more nails continued to fall off. 6 nails have fallen off to date (exactly 1 week) that Ive glued back on myself with nail glue. Very poor quality products being used. After she finished my nails, she rushed out and left. I do not recommend this place. Ive never had this many nails coming off within ONE week. Please take your money and business elsewhere.

Great, welcoming service! The only downside was the long wait time, but in all fairness I was a walk in. didnt have any plans for the rest of the day so I figured I would wait and Im glad I did!

Nan Nails looks like a nice place to go, and the girls who work there are nice enough. However i got a manicure and a pedicure, the pedicure chipped the next day- mind you I had a party to go to, and my manicure just looked awful, when I went to pay they charged me $40 dollars! Now im from the new york city and i pay $8.00 for a manicure, and if I get both $15 and it lasts for a week plus! I payed 40 bucks for it to last 2 seconds. Do not waste your money.

I live in NYC. I had a wonderful experience here! I got a pedi and shellac done. i dont remember the girl did my name but i think its veean. However, Shes a sweetheart and friendly . She did great job on my nails,it last. Will visit again!

Horrible. I Meade an appt at 10:42 over the phone for 11:00am, but when I came in I couldn’t get anyone to look at me or acknowledge I was there for my appt. I asked one of the techs to make sure I had an appt and she said yes I do. So I sit for 20 min in front of the owner who refuses to acknowledge im there even though I’ve been regular customer for years. Finally o get her attention and ask to confirm my appt, and she says yes that’s what I was told but that they’d “get to you when we get to you. You’ll have to wait until one of us is free. You just made the appt at 10:42 right?”. I said yes I did but that she’d told me there was an opening at 11:00 so I came in from work to make it. She didn’t say one word to me and just returned to curling another of the techs hair while BOTH their customers nail sat waiting for them to stop curling each others hair. All true and how disgusting to be treated this way. Not a business that cares at all about customer service or basic decent respect.

Yesterday was my first and last customer experience at this nail salon. The nail tech I was so lucky to have assigned to me was the rudest, most unprofessional, disrespectful excuse for a nail technician I have ever had the misfortune of sharing the same space, let alone pay for a service. This wasnt my typical salon, but I was with family of whom was a past customer, and it was convenient . It started with a botched pedicure... she filled the tank up with scorching hot water....So hot that if I had left my foot in the tank longer than the 1.2 seconds it took for my natural survival instincts to kick in, I would easily have 1st degree burns and possibly a case for a lawsuit. I explained to her it was too hot, but it wasnt until her colleague saw my face in a grimace that she urged her to cool the water down.The pedicure was rushed and sloppy at best. After she was done she commanded me to her station to prep and perform a gel manicure. She started with a cuticle cut. She nicked my cuticle on my left ring finger to the point of drawing blood. I told her that I was bleeding. She simply ripped off a piece of paper towel, dabbed it with alcohol and treated my finger with the alcohol --followed by some mystery drops, but never offered an apology. During the entire manicure, she was visibly bothered by something--I can only assume she was bothered by me, despite the fact I may have only spoke one full sentence my entire time there. She huffed, puffed and grumble under her mask during the slop job manicure. It was so disturbing that I asked her if she was ok? She curtly replied yes.In fact, other than the short barks commanding me to walk to her station or wash my hands, she said nothing to me the entire time. She didnt even offer a thank you when I paid for the services and gave her an undeserved tip.As a busy working wife and mother, I dont get a lot of time to treat myself. I also place high expectations on what I spend my hard-earned money on. I dont think its too much to ask for a pleasant, relaxing experience for a $70 service, for which I paid.I suspect that it may have just been my misfortune to have the witch of the salon servicing me, but unfortunately every employee is a reflection of the company and for that I give NAN NAIL --1 star.

I had ANC done with tips. I had 3 nails break in less than 3 weeks. I work a desk job dont live a lifestyle where this makes sense. The first nail that broke was within 3 days when I was zipping my coat. The second was 7 days and the color separated from my nail bed but the tip stayed secure. The last was day 12, I was locking a bathroom door. The nail tech only did 2 coats and the polish was so thin and see thru people thought it was a bad 2 tone ombre. I also have 3 random granuals of glitter in the polish that must have been debris from her station; not a big deal or noticeable to anyone not looking, just annoying to me. 5 star service, poor quality.

I was back 3 days later because all of them were lifting. All Im saying is they shouldnt have someone just jump right in and start if they dont have a lot of experience.
