Our family went to Dr. Hoorwitz because we need therapy. We were eager to do the work and be guided by him, but he seemed utterly indifferent to us - I got the distinct impression that hes tired of his job and wants to quit. We had two appointments during which his manner towards us was dismissive, uninterested, and borderline hostile, and then he gave us a copy of his book and said, Everything I want to say to you is in there. Thats all I have to say. The book he has written is ludicrous: self important ideas and amateurish prose. If it werent such a crying shame, Id laugh. As a result of his unprofessional treatment of us, other members of our family no longer want to try therapy even with other therapists.This Doctor has actively made our situation worse.
